305 Karafuu Restaurant

I don’t know how they got the place to look as old as it does, but it is amazing. The ambiance is something else, you feel transported to a different time all together. The food was also on another level. They have plenty of options and what we ordered was well prepared and packed with flavour. The oxtail seemed like it had been slowly cooked to build the deep and rich taste. It was great. Food portion size is average, for some it might be a bit on the smaller side. We enjoyed our visit, and would recommend trying it out. Will be back to try some of the other dishes they have to offer.

I have know Karafu Since when they were in Kinondoni. I love the wooden rustic feel. Great decor, soft and warm ambiance. Their food is also really consistently delicious. I have gone here for dates, team dinners and taken guest here and the experience has always been the same.

We went to this beautiful and atmospheric restaurant on a Friday night and there was live music. The food was absolutely great! Fresh fish and grilled lobster we ordered along with 2 fantastic mocktails and a handmade cheesecake. The service couldn’t have been better! Our waiter, Daoud, was very polite, smiling and replying to all our requests.

Belle expérience mais quelques points à améliorer L’ambiance est agréable et le personnel très professionnel. Nous avons commandé les garlic prawns avec des frites maison et le steak royale accompagné de purée. C’était bon, mais les portions étaient vraiment petites. Petit bémol également sur les jus : je souhaitais un jus naturel mangue/passion mais tous étaient déjà préparés avec du sucre ajouté. Dommage pour un restaurant de ce standing, on s’attend à du jus frais fait à la demande…

Locale ampio, possibilità di pranzare/cenare all'interno o all'esterno ( sotto un grande albero che ripara dal sole). Piatti di carne o pesce, servizio nella norma, tempi di attesa non del tutto veloci ma cmq accettabili. Prezzi non alti. Consigliato di giorno per un pasto smart. Di sera molto più confortevole e suggestivo. Adatto per famiglie con bambini, pranzi d'affari, coppie o comitive.

Really decent food at comparatively affordable prices. I had the Medium rare 305 Steak and I must say, it was scrumptious. The ambience was calm and relaxing. And the service; This was made to seem as if they were waiting for us to arrive. The waiter, Mr. William Michael made sure of this. Looking forward to visit again.

This is the first time I have visited the new location. What I liked: The service by servers was great. The one we had was very well trained and polite. The decor was great especially the Baobab tree. Their deserts are incredible. What I didn’t fancy: I was not impressed by the steaks like it once was in the old location. Their portions have gone down a-bit and were chewy. However the chicken that my cousin ordered was great.

The place has a great atmosphere, great setting, quiet and calm, and the service is excellent. I gave a 3 star for food because i ordered beef ribs and to my shock they were cooked with tomato sauce (mchuzi). This is not a common method of cooking ribs in restaurants so i expected the waiter to have told me before hand but he didn't. Also, the food was also just too plain not worth the money they charge for it.

Gaspar has created a fantastic place to enjoy good food & wine with friends. One of my favorite locations to relax from a stressful working week in Dar. Highly recommended. Once again many thanks for a great evening with an unforgettable, tasteful dinner accompanied by the fantastic South African wine “The Chocolate Block”.

I was thoroughly impressed by the artistic vibe and tranquil atmosphere. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, creating a serene and inviting ambiance. The food menu was somewhat limited. The service was also top-notch. I would highly recommend 305 Karafuu for a unique and enjoyable dining experience.

Good food, very nice environment, yet there are lots of flies. It is good value restaurant, and great alternative to get a short break.

Good food and great customer service

I was immensely impressed with this restaurant, it’s more then a restaurant. My client Anisa Mpungwe chose this location for to introduce her new collection to Dar-es-Salaam. The management provided to the most impeccable hands on service. The finger food for the fashion show guests was simply delicious. What stood out was the the combination of spices and flavours. I have to mention the unique decór. One could call it “upcycling”. The use of unfinished and unvarnished wood in the most unexpected places and ways really impressed me. The lighting, the hessian curtains. I would highly recommend this place to international travelers.‼️

I'd say this is the best restaurant i have ever visited and i loved it. Here is the Pros and Cons about this place: Pros: -Very Cozy -Food is really nice -Ambience is amazing Cons: -Street Parking at your own risk -Delays on food (If you go dine with group) -Air Cons are not working so expect fan

☀️ Giving good old pan-African vibes, nice outdoors seating area. 😭 Service is a bit lacking though. Pros: food is decent , nice display of condiments( salt/pepper/pilipili/ketchup) Cons: service is lacking. The waitress welcomed and took our order fine, but soon as we left a 3000 TSH tip (which is the standard as it was just two people and we didn’t order much) her face dropped and acted like we didn’t exist. Very unprofessional behaviour. It should be corrected during wait staff training.

I loved this place, the ambience is breathtaking in the evening.There was a saxophone guy playing which made it even better. We had the garlic prawns and fish fillet both came with mashed potatoes amazing. Our waiter Nicholas was lovely,

Chill vibes, cozy rustic ambience, dope art & some of the best food in town. Don't let the location fool you... This is a definite gem for all foodies, check it out if you haven't. The prices are reasonable & their staff are very friendly/helpful

The new location looks absolutely fantastic! Great decor. Nice rustic vibe. The ox-tail was quite tough and the service a bit slow.
