Aajisai Japanese Restaurant

We went to this Japanese Restaurant last weekend since we wanted to try Japanese Cuisine , first time for me and my son, hubby had it before lots of times. First of all, being a fine dining restaurant they have limited seats and you have to expect a good waiting time especially on weekends, I personally was not happy with the atmosphere being over crowded with all kinds of people. The servers are not trained professionally and lacked in handling customers. After long wait, we were seated and then ordered. I must give compliments to chef, the food was really good though it takes good amount of time to get served but quality and taste was good. Drinks were ok. It’s quite a pricey restaurant so one should expect a good amount to pay at the end. All in all not happy with the experience but quite happy with the food.

An elaborate and exquisite japanese fine dining experience located in quest mallfood court Excellent staff who patiently explained the various items ......the ambience was pleasant......made from imported japanese ingredients the eatery is a food connoisseurs delight The miso soup and salmon sushi were an absolute delight.....

Love this place!! It’s a tad bit expensive but worth it for the full course that’s served. The portions are huge too. And service was excellent. I would come back here again when I’m in Kolkata. ✨

If you're a fan of Japanese cuisine, this place is a must-visit! They offer a great variety of vegetarian options and some amazing weekend deals. The food & drinks I ordered were: -California Roll (Sushi): served on conveyor belt. -Spicy Yasai Curry Ramen -Pineapple Ginger -Queen of Peach Their specialty salads have unique flavors and are definitely worth trying. The desserts are equally delightful—In my previous visit I personally loved the mango salad and mango ice cream the most! 😋👌🏻 A great spot for a delicious and satisfying meal.

Outstanding Maki Rolls and Japanese curry & rice. However, the service staff need very serious training. They don’t know the basics that… - Drinks should be served to all together. One of us were waiting for 15mins with the drink served and gone tasteless. - Inform guests that it would take say 20-30mins. Every customer in the place was very upset for waiting for ever. A classic example of the best investment, chef & ingredients, can be totally ruined by untrained and irresponsible service staff!! Not acceptable for the fine dine price they are charging!!

Visited Aajisai recently to try authentic japanese cuisine. We had a great time enjoying sushi served on conveyor belt, their ramen is a must try and the live teppenyaki counter is one of a kind experience. Each dish was made with perfection and super tasty. Do visit if you want to try authentic japanese food

AajIsai Restaurant offers a unique dining experience, but it comes at a price. The food quality is decent, but the high cost combined with an additional 10% service charge, especially for a meal in a food court setting, makes it a less appealing option. The service charge feels particularly out of place and adds to the feeling of an overpriced meal. I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars. Prawn tempura was recommended along with Gyoza but ramen you can skip.

Aajisai is hands down the best spot in Kolkata for authentic Japanese cuisine! 🍣🍱 The ambiance is serene and perfectly complements the traditional vibe of the food. The sushi and sashimi are absolutely fresh and melt in your mouth. The staff is super courteous and knowledgeable about the menu, which is helpful if you’re new to Japanese cuisine. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but the quality and experience are worth every penny. Highly recommend this place for sushi lovers or anyone wanting a taste of Japan in Kolkata!

Despite this, the overall experience is quite delightful, from the menu and food to the service and ambiance. The menu is particularly unique, providing a comprehensive overview of various Japanese dishes, making it easy for those unfamiliar with the cuisine to make choices. Watching the orders arrive on the conveyor belt adds a fun element to the dining experience. The menu is extensive, and the serving staff are very helpful in recommending dishes. I tried the Chicken Teriyaki Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, Ebi Ten Roll, and Rainbow Roll. Each was fantastic, with the Spicy Salmon Roll, featuring raw salmon, standing out as the highlight for me. Overall, it was a genuinely great experience, and I look forward to returning to try more Japanese dishes at Ajisai.

I ordered : Chicken Suan La Tang Soup Egg Fried Rice Chicken Teppanyaki Veg California Alaska Roll Chicken Ramen Prawn Tempura Japanese Cheesecake Blueberry Mojito Shirley Temple Each of these items were extraordinary to taste. I loved Prawn Tempura,Veg California,Alaska Roll,Chicken Teppanyaki. This place is a must go, if you're looking for some good japanese food.

We indulged in three types of Sushi, Japanese Curry and Karage and ended the lunch with a soft, melt-in-the-mouth fluffy cheesecake. Everything was superb. Would definitely visit again!

Went here during the pujo. Loved the ambience, service and food. We had 2 sushi rolls, tonkotsu ramen, chicken curry rice and Japanese cheese cake. The food was delicious though the ramen broth was a bit lacking in flavour.

Again coming to this place for a Japanese food fix! Sushi and sashimi served here is one of the best in Kolkata. Despite the price, I'm happy to pay for the quality and taste served. The spicy ramen is an all time favorite. Teppanyaki was served in a confused way. I was given pan fried rice instead of sticky rice. Perhaps that's how they have it here. Yakitori chicken is a must have and so was the grilled squid. Sashimi is fresh and in a good portion. Service here is excellent. For a better discount, use the Swiggy Dine In option. You get 15% off the bill amount. If you up to 25℅ discount too.
