The said arch goes under the water when the dam is flooded and only its upper surface is like an island out of the water. One of the wonders of this building is the absence of brick stairs in the building and around the square. The water of the lake is supplied from the surrounding winter melt water, which flows into the lake with the help of collection channels, and in the summer it is used to irrigate the rice fields and supply water to the surrounding villages. The historical garden of Abbas Abad is built on top of a natural hill, in this way, the engineers of the Safavid period cut the hill and created steps and steps to create a matching garden and built a mansion on the highest part of the hill. This garden is one of the most unique gardens in Iran.
بزرگترین باغ دوره صفوی ایران به شمار میرود و این مجموعه تاریخی به دستور شاه عباس اول صفوی در سالهای ۱۰۲۰ و ۱۰۲۱ ساخته شده است. وسعت این باغ غیرکویری ایران به ۵۰۰ هکتار میرسد. مجموعه عباس آباد شامل باغ، دریاچه، حمام و... میشود. دریاچه طبیعی عباس آباد وسعتی بالغ بر ۱۰ هکتار دارد که در زمان آبگیری ارتفاع آب در آن به ۱۸ متر میرسد. در مرکز دریاچه مصنوعی عباس آباد بهشهر بنایی آجری بهشکل چهارطاقی وجود دارد که زمانی سطح فوقانی آن، بستر بنایی با مصالح چوب و سقفی سفالی را تشکیل میداد. چهارطاقی مذکور در زمان آبگیری سد به زیر آب میرود و تنها سطح فوقانی آن بهسان جزیرهای بیرون از آب قرار میگیرد. از شگفتیهای این عمارت، عدم وجود پله آجری در بنا و اطراف چهارطاقی است. آب دریاچه از آبهای ذوب شده زمستانی اطراف تامین میشود که با کمک کانالهای جمعآوری به دریاچه میریزند و در تابستان جهت آبیاری شالیزارهای برنج و تامین آب روستاهای اطراف مورد استفاده قرار میگرفته است. باغ تاریخی عباسآباد، بر بالای تپهای طبیعی احداث شده است، بدین ترتیب که مهندسان دوره صفوی با بریدن تپه و ایجاد پله و صفه، باغی مطبق و پلکانی را ایجاد و در بالاترین قسمت تپه اقدام به عمارتسازی کردند. این باغ، یکی از بینظیرترین باغهای ایرانی است.
