As a current student, I’ve witnessed firsthand the deep-rooted issues within this institution. The administration operates with authoritarian control and widespread corruption. Major decisions that affect students are made without thoughtful analysis or consideration of the consequences. Their leadership is marked by insensitivity, repression, and a blatant disregard for student welfare. Nepotism is rampant positions and privileges are often handed out based on personal connections rather than merit, which undermines fairness and excellence. Many staff members display unprofessional attitudes and treat students with hostility or indifference. Although they claim to be the top institution in Ethiopia, their behavior contradicts that reputation. They reflect a system plagued by corruption, ignorance, and regressive governance. To truly reform this institution, the entire administration must be dismantled and rebuilt with transparency, accountability, and a genuine commitment to education. Based on my experience, I do not recommend anyone to join this institution.

大学里面是埃塞最后一个国王的住所，里面也展出许多埃塞历史文物和文化介绍，比埃塞国家博物馆更能体现其历史。展览楼在大学里面，不太好找，但大学生们很热情的给我们指路！去到那天楼下还有一个临时展，是东非地区艺术家的画作展览。体验不错！

AAU is actually bad. Like really bad. From the services to the teachers, and their absurd rules, it doesn't even compare on a national level, let alone continental. I have seen better schools than this institute.

Is one of the oldest universities in Africa. The main campus was originally the palace of Emperor Hailesilassie. The university has more than 300+ graduate programs and 290+ undergraduate programs. Great place to pursue BA/Bsc and MA/MSc.

Addis Ababa University (AAU) is the most iconic national university and College of natural and computational science offers regular and extension programs in different levels. The main registrar office of AAU is located at 6 killo campus.

A great institution to seek wisdom

This university has been declining since it became private .The food and service was/is still bad even after their asking the students to pay 400k a year….yet they take the students right .its technically a prison now.
