Such a beautiful canyon i would say its a medium level the experience was amazing cool and clean water all along you need a guide to go through it

Great drive, requires 4x4. I camped at a spot where there was signs of previous campers who were responsible and left behind clean site. I did the same for the next. At night it was pitch black on a moonless night but I still saw cars driving the cliff which to me is quite dangerous. Me, my wife and 3 young kids alone was not the best decision had there been any emergency, so it’ll be better if going with more than one families. I can imagine this is best if it was group of friends going together.

This a top attraction adventurous in Oman! However, you need a guide - I strongly recommend a local guide. We got him from local accommodation Bait Bimah where we spent a night before our visit. Prices are much better than those agencies offer and you ought to support local tourism. We are a family of four (kids 16y and 13y) and it was a fantastic hike. We needed three hours to complete the hike. You abseil three times (cca 10+30+15m), jumping into pools, a lot of swimming, even through caves. The nature is simply surreal, you are surrounded by 200 m rock walls and the canyon is only a few meters wide! You get a neoprene swimsuit, since water is a little cold. There is almost no sunlight at the bottom of the trail, but plenty of light. Be prepared to arrive with a very good vehicle, 4WD (4x4) is strongly recommended! The road is very steep at times and rough. I strongly recommend you arrive from Al Hamra/Nizwa (from the West) - in that case most of the dirt road is downwards. From Snake Canyon, if you continue towards Muscat (to the East) it is again more or less down. We drove a regular SUV and in some parts it was quite challenging to go over a steep climb 😅 Be prepared to pay 40-50 OMR per person for a guide, but it is worth every penny, no doubt about it! Absolutely crazy adventure.

An amazing place for adventure seekers, a fantastic route for jumping off small cliffs into water pools. There are also natural water slides. overall a great place to visit for people who love outdoors

Great canyoning experience. Looks hard but really any fit beginner can manage well. Very beautiful and fun! ~ water is pretty cold I was wearing 3mm wet suit. ~ bring your own dry bag and pack snacks ~ we did not bring any change of clothes, because we were staying at the Seasons Inn in Balad Sayt could get a hot show right after the hike.

Bellissima esperienza di canyoning, la prima della nostra vita, con Sultan, una bravissima guida locale. Molto serio ed attento alla sicurezza, soprattutto nei passaggi più impegnativi. Abbiamo fatto il percorso da 3 ore (non avevamo tempo per quello da 5) ed è stato già molto impegnativo in questo periodo dell'anno in cui le temperature non sono alte. Camminare sul fondo dello Snake Gorge e tuffarsi nelle sue pozze d'acqua (gelata!) sovrastati dalle formazioni rocciose scavate dall'acqua nel suo corso di milenni è stato davvero emozionante. Lo rifarei! Ps noi siamo in forma ma non giovani, il percorso è fattibile da tutto se in buona dorma fisica, anche se in alcuni punti è davvero sfidante!

It was a great experience; I loved the location and the amazing nature. We had so much fun. Once I got back, I watched the videos again and again. I got a short trip. If you haven't experienced it before, it's a little harder, but with the right people around you, you can do it. If you enter, just find the way to exit; there's no turning back. I will do it again.🤩

We stayed 3 days and did 2 days of adventure hike and canyoning. Our host Zaher arranged everything, he ensured that we had all equipment and most importantly that we feel safe through all the activities. We stayed in his peaceful guesthouse with all the essentials. Friendliness and hospitality of people is on another level.

Amazing canyoning with Sultan! Sultan is very kind and professional guide who knows and love Snake Canyon, we had a blast. The canyon is beautiful and the canyoning very diversified… swimming, jumping, sliding, diving… I definitely recommend.

Très bel endroit, très reculé, et la route d'accès est à couper le souffle, une des plus belle du pays, prenez le temps de la parcourir de Rustaq à Jebel Shams, vous serez ebahi par les paysages, les canyons, wadis, et villages perdus. 4x4 obligatoire.

Quite beautiful, I was amazing experience. Now with the rains it will be quite a view . One has to have a 4WD vehicle to reach the place as it is quite inside. The water is cool and relaxing

What a highlight of our adventures in Oman. Never in my life have we experienced such a beautiful and surreal place. We took the 3hr tour for 35 OMR pp - which included a delicious lunch, and tea and coffee. The two brothers Zahir (Zaher) and Rashid were incredible hosts. Can’t thank them enough for today. Would 💯 come back and do this again!

Great canyon experience with an experienced guide and - take care of the cold. You are wet and in the shadow all the time, 2-4hours, depending on the crowd. We can recommend the guide Sultan that has his own agency and lives in a picturesque village of Bilad Sayt.
