We visited in mid-June during the dry season, specifically to avoid crowds. We found it peaceful with just a few families and bachelor groups, alongside many camels and goats. While the scenery wasn't lush green, the sights were still impressive and a unique experience for kids. Tip: If you prefer lush greenery and don't mind crowds, visit during the Khareef (monsoon, July-August). But if peace and exclusivity are your priority, and you're okay with some heat and less green scenery, the off-season is perfect. A 4x4 is recommended, and be sure to bring your own food and plenty of water.

I visited Ain Jarziz (Wilayat Salalah), and it was a wonderful experience. The spring is located about 7 km northwest of Salalah city center, just a 10–15 minute drive, making it one of the closest and easiest natural spots to reach. The place is very peaceful, with fresh flowing water surrounded by greenery and small hills. There are shaded areas and places to sit, making it comfortable for families to spend some relaxing time. The sound of the water and the natural setting create a refreshing and calm atmosphere, perfect for a short escape from the city. It is also a great spot for photography, picnics, and enjoying the natural beauty of Dhofar. Simple, quiet, and authentic — a perfect place to relax and recharge. Highly recommended for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking for a nearby getaway from Salalah زرت عين جرزيز – ولاية صلالة، وكانت تجربة رائعة بالفعل. تقع العين على بُعد حوالي 7 كم شمال غرب مركز مدينة صلالة، أي ما يقارب 10–15 دقيقة بالسيارة فقط، مما يجعلها من أقرب وأسهل المواقع الطبيعية للوصول. المكان هادئ جدًا، حيث تتدفق المياه العذبة وسط الخضرة والتلال الصغيرة. توجد مناطق مظللة وأماكن للجلوس، مما يجعله مناسبًا للعائلات لقضاء وقت مريح. صوت المياه مع الطبيعة المحيطة يخلق أجواء منعشة وهادئة، مثالية للهروب القصير من صخب المدينة. كما أنه موقع رائع للتصوير الفوتوغرافي، والنزهات العائلية، والاستمتاع بجمال الطبيعة في ظفار. مكان بسيط وهادئ وأصيل—مثالي للاسترخاء واستعادة النشاط.

عين جرزيز من أشهر العيون المائية الطبيعية في محافظة ظفار بسلطنة عمان، وتُعد من أبرز معالم السياحة البيئية في صلالة، خصوصًا خلال موسم الخريف. - الموقع: تقع عند سفوح جبل أتين، وتبعد حوالي 7 كم عن مركز مدينة صلالة. - الطبيعة: تتدفق مياهها من الجبال وتكوّن جداول وشلالات صغيرة، تحيط بها خضرة كثيفة، وتزداد روعة خلال موسم الخريف. -المصدر: مياهها عذبة وتنبع من أعالي الجبل، وتستمر بالتدفق في أغلب أشهر السنة. - البيئة المحيطة: منطقة العين مهيأة بمسارات للمشي، وجلسات طبيعية، وتُعد مكاناً محبباً للعائلات والزوار. الأنشطة التي يمكن القيام بها: - التنزّه والمشي في الطبيعة. - التصوير، خصوصًا للضباب والمياه المتدفقة. - الاسترخاء وسط أصوات الطيور وجريان الماء. - الاستمتاع بالخريف واعتدال الجو.

عين جميلة جيناها نهاية شهر يوليو وكانت العين لسا ما امتلت منطقتها بالمياه ولعلها خيرة الحمد لله العين يسهل الوصول لها بأي سيارة سواء صغيرة او كبيره المنذقه مليانه شجر واماكن للجلوس وفيها كهوف تطلع لها بدرج ممكن الجلوس فيها والمكان مليان ضفادع

Ayn Jarziz) is often called a spring, its also called a waterfall or a lake. From Salalah follow (Itin Street) north across the coastal plain and parking is available at the river bed. Their are two caves located the place and waterfall will only can be seen only after heavy rain. Unfortunately when we visited the river bed was dried and no waterfall. Road are clean and safe to drive in any car. Keep the place clean and don't throw trash around. Visit for free.

Very beautiful location. Everything is green during the monsoon season from July to September. The water lake is not filled with water now because water is being routed for maintenance reasons

If you visit during rainy season of August, be sure to bring appropriate clothing or umbrella. Beautiful waterfall but does not run in August. Views are still beautiful. Area reachable by regular car. Mosquitos are there so bring appropriate solution for these. Seating and bar be que area available for non rainy season. Bring picnic foods if required. Public toilets also available.

During our recent visit to Ain Jarziz, the spring was dry, but the location was still worth seeing. Surrounded by lush greenery in the right season, this spot offers a peaceful escape into Salalah's natural beauty. Even without flowing water, the calm atmosphere, mountain backdrop, and fresh air make it a pleasant stop. One tip be prepared for flies. Carry or buy fly-repellent ointment from nearby shops to make your visit more comfortable. Ain Jarziz is a great place to slow down, enjoy the quiet, and connect with nature.

An enchanting getaway! With its rocky cliffs covered with greenery, and its soothing atmosphere. It is the perfect place to relax, have a picnic with the family or capture memorable photos. Easily accessible while keeping that feeling of nature intact

عين جميلة ومنطقة رائعه للتنزه والمشي على الارجل زرناها في اول اغسطس ولا يوجد فيها ماء

I visited during the dry season but it is still very lovely to go there. I can imagine that it would look very beautiful when there is water falling down the mountain. There are some large caves at the viewpoint and there are many trees that are still green. We visited those location while on one of the tours from the hotel we stayed in, so the stay wasn’t very long

Very nice place. You must visit during the monsoon season. The best season is between June to August. I went there in April and it was summer. The full area is dried up and no water at all. But we can see that all plants, trees and the ain is waiting for the season to wake up. Even in summer, the area looks nice

Went on a Friday in mid Sept, the nature is amazing. The lush green trees and the spring are perfect to spend a relaxing family day. The fact that it's so near the city is a plus point. Would definitely again.

During my visit to Ain Jarziz in Salalah, I was amazed by its natural beauty. The flowing spring, surrounded by greenery and cool fresh air, creates such a soothing atmosphere. It’s a perfect place to spend some quiet time close to nature and enjoy the refreshing environment.

Endroit paisible mais attention a ne pas céder à l'envie de se rafraîchir dans l'eau translucide... Tous les guides mettent en garde pour le risque d'attraper des maladies en se baignant (petits vers sont j'ai oublié le nom)

A beautiful and well maintained place. Such a natural beauty. Great view of the green mountain and a nice pool to have fun. There are shallow parts of the stream where the kids can enjoy themselves. A very family friendly and scenic place for a day to spend. Perfect picnic spot.
