FAMU is a wonderful school located in the center of Prague. It has great history and interesting, experiences teachers. I am currently studying cinematography in the One Year Intensive Course in the international department. I am learning intensely, shooting projects on film (several 16mm and one 35mm) and getting connections all over the world. If you are curious and proactive, the teachers and administration will make a great effort to make your ideas happen! I am very happy for studying at FAMU. 4,5/5

I loved my short experience there as an international student. I was part of a summer filmmaking workshop. Teachers were very experienced and helpful. I learned a lot while there. By the end of the workshop I learned that filmmaking was definitely what I wanted to do. Not just that but I wish I would have been able to return to FAMU and do the International Masters Directing program. I recommend this school to anyone. It's in a beautiful city and in a beautiful location!

This is my first year pursuing a master's in Photography at FAMU, and I’m thrilled to be studying at such a prestigious institution. The school provides excellent facilities, professional studios, and top-tier scanning equipment. I highly recommend this university to students, as it is one of the most renowned institutions for film.

A fantastic film school located in the heart of a truly inspiring and cinematic city. Surrounded by experienced film instructors—both Czech and international—who are active professionals in the industry, I am forever grateful for my time studying there. The opportunity to create a short film that was later selected for festivals made the experience even more rewarding. I highly recommend applying to their programs!

I had a great Erasmus at this school, that is located perfectly in beautiful Praha. With doing Production Design for multiple Shortfilms and extending my international network I can look back on the four month with a big smile.

While their standard courses are the best, watch out for their FAMU International Prague courses. A lot of the lecturers are just mediocre or below mediocre professionals (which have never achieved anything significant and will do a few lectures there for minimum pay) without any higher education/university level degree. I know two of them well and wouldn’t listen to them for free. Seems quite bizarre to have international students pay a lot to learn something new in historic Prague.

Had some of my best times here. Would definetly recomend for upcoming filmmakers searching for a platform to create✨

V listopadu mě oslovili, zda by mohli v mém podniku natočit AVD za úplatu. Podepsali jsme smlouvu se splatností 14 dní a do dnešního dne mi nepřišla ni koruna. Několikrát jsem to urgovala, vždy mi slíbili, že už to musí přijít. Dílo se jmenuje Bubák.

absolute worst desicion of my life. staff and teachers are drunk at work and they intentionally keep failing international students in their final year, so they have to pay tuition for another year.

Great film school with professional teachers and reliable communication team. Would recommend this university to everyone, 10/10!

The best is the sunshine in classroom, but you can also get it from the outside bench free

Beware of the nihilists! You can easily recognise them because they wear full black clothes (every single day!).
