We had a wonderful stay at the Bustan Palace. A very impressive building, riom was lovely and the staff were the highlight! So lovely. Pity the hotel closes soon for extensive renovation, look forward to an invite for the reopening! Only down side was that two of the restaurants were closed but this is understandable as the whole hotel will close soon. We enjoyed the absolutely amazing breakfasts and relaxing by the pool or on our balcony. We had room service dinner and it was delicious, a welcome break from our busy day. Lovely touches for our little girl on arrival, the build you own cupcake, teddy and entertainment pack. Very glad we came

I’m went for a massage and my husband took the kids for a pool day. Initially we thought the prices were on the higher side for a pool day but when you realize the extent of the kids area (with a zip line, a small water slide, slash pad, beach access, rolling lawns and 2 pools - with a good portion of the rate redeemable on F&B) it was great value. The kids loved putting their towels down on the soft grass under the huge shade trees. They had an absolute ball, playing for hours. We had lunch together next to the pool, the food was okay but the service was exceptional! The staff were friendly and attentive. The massage was, without hesitation, the best I have ever had!!! Do yourself a favor and try the 80 min Balinese massage. Go early to enjoy the ladies only private beach next to the spa, the sauna, steam room etc) The spa is stunning - you will want to spend the entire day there. There was attention to every detail, perfect relaxing music at perfect volume, beautiful flower arrangements in the bowl under the bed’s face cradle, adjustable massage tables expertly worked by the therapist to ensure max comfort throughout, mandalas to colour in the recovery area while you sip your ginger tea after your massage and warm smiles everywhere. I honestly did not want to leave… and am already making plans to go back. Another thing we loved was that the prices on the menus all already included the various taxes and service charges …. So no surprise at the end.

Currently here in a suite 752. Have a walking disability. Staff are great, but facility is not. Examples: three steps up to lobby, no ramp or hand rail. Kids pool steep slope with no handrail. All toilets in beach are up steps. Ordered twice from family pool for lunch and service is absolutely awful especially given price of food. First time took almost 2 hours to get served. Second time had to turn waiter away we had waited so long. Third time waiting over an hour. Walking is not easy for me.

Al Bustan Palace, ancien palais des hôtes de marque du sultan converti en hôtel Ritz-Carlton. Lits moelleux. Bon buffet de petit déjeuner (très beau choix de fruits exotiques notamment). Les repas sont bons et très variés dans les divers restaurants. Le service hôtelier est excellent et très aimable. Il y a plusieurs piscines agréables dont la grande "infinity pool" entre l'hôtel et la plage. La plage et la mer sont très propres, malheureusement gâtées par la présence choquante d'assez nombreuses femmes complètement nues (excepté quelques ficelles) manifestant un mépris complet des coutumes locales et contrastant curieusement avec les jupes-culottes des hommes. L'hôtel est très excentré, rien n'est atteignable à pied, néanmoins une navette gratuite est à disposition quotidiennement à 1630 pour Mutrah où se trouve un souk très modernisé, un marché aux poissons le matin et de plusieurs restaurants simples pour la plupart.

An incredible stay at an incredible hotel. Can't praise the staff enough for looking after our every need and the property and location speak for themselves. The breakfast was filled with numerous choices and we had the pleasure of dining during the seafood night which was truly delicious. The spa and beach facilities were also very good, there is nothing negative I can say about this hotel and we are already planning our next trip back! Thank you once again to the whole team!

Super Hotel mit sehr freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Personal. Die Anlage ist schön und gepflegt, besonders der separate Frauenbereich (Strandbereich) ist ein großes Plus. Auch der Fitnessbereich hat mir sehr gefallen. Das Zimmer war etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr sauber und der Roomservice war top. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und sehr vielfältig – die Eggs Benedict sind besonders zu empfehlen! Auch das Abendessen war sehr gut. Wer nur Frühstück bucht, sollte beachten, dass die Preise für weiteres Essen eher hoch sind (typische Hotelpreise). Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt – ich würde wiederkommen!

This hotel is very old bathrooms flood! I witnessed a cockroach in the room I wonder is it from the dine in service cart I don't know?! Anyway going to renovation soon however their service is very sad for a 5 star hotel their service is deteriorated the last 2 years now their service is lower than a 4 star hotel in my opinion. Their lobby service is poor & facilities very limited. Hope after full renovation it will go back to its well reputed service. Nawaf the receptionist is an amazing guy and professional. The filipino late night dine in server is very good and friendly. Jenny the day lobby waitress is kind and professional. Housekeeping staff is ok but not as good as before. Rooms service her name is Nan is very rude and unhelpful for a cup of tea to the lobby takes her 25 minutes to deliver!!! I forgot my swimming suite on the terrace i called them to retrieve it they said they don't find it!? I hope they didn't steal it?

Visited in April 2026. The US/Iran war was in the ceasefire period, so the hotel was unusually empty. They have closed several of the restaurants because of this and as a prelude to the hotel closing for 18 months for renovations. So only one restaurant was open but there was enough choice over 4 nights. Breakfasts are buffet style and quite amazing. Never needed lunch. Rooms are OK. Bed was too soft for me but they supplied a fold down one which helped. Ask for change of pillows if they are too soft. The private beach (no house reef) doesn't have recliners on it, but there are plenty on the promenade and by the pool. There are also cabanas. There is a call system for drinks and food. The gym is very good and there are two padel courts as well as three tennis courts. All the staff are very helpful and polite. They are renovating the tops floors and the plumbing and expect to be closed until about June 2027. When it reopens I would recommend it.

I've stayed in many good places around the world. This place would rank in the top 5 places I've stayed at. The breakfast buffet is very well presented with quality food and a great variety. Mohammed Saad, Fahd Alwahibi and Managers Ali + Adnan were great hosts. They would give that great Arab hospitality and I felt like we were old friends catching up everyday when we saw one another. The rooms are well maintained with friendly staff who look after them and your family. The pool area and grounds are world class. You can just hang around being lazy and enjoy the place. Above all, the management and staff were a great mix of locals and international staff who looked after you and made your stay memorable. It was beautiful seeing the local Omani people working at this place. I've travelled to most countries in the Middle East and North Africa and stayed in many beautiful hotels. Omani people are the warmest and most hospitable Arabs you will ever meet. Special thanks to manager Radwan who went above and beyond & the concierge team Abu Abdallah + Khaled. These guys are really good fellows. 10/10. I will be seeing you again.

Absolutely wonderful stay! The staff went above and beyond from the moment I arrived. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. It's rare to find a hotel where the team makes you feel so welcome. I will 100% be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great experience.

Abbiamo trascorso un weekend al Bustan Palace e ci siamo trovati benissimo abbiamo apprezzato particolarmente la cura verso il cliente e l’attenzione ai piccoli dettagli poi l’addetta alla reception Maria fin da subito si è presa cura di noi e ci ha guidato durante il soggiorno per qualsiasi cosa avevamo di bisogno. Credo fermamente sia il miglior resort di Muscat

Hôtel splendide, domaine gigantesque, infrastructures au top. L’un des meilleurs petits déjeuner que j’ai pu avoir parmi bien 200 hôtels. Mention spéciale pour Maria à la réception qui a été fantastique en nous accordant des attentions que je n’avais jamais connues même dans les plus beaux palaces !!! Un waiter du petit déjeuner a entendu dans une conversation que j’adorais le Umm Ali, il a transmis l’info à Maria qui en a fait livrer à ma chambre ! Incroyable. Il était délicieux en plus. Bravo ne changez rien. Peut être refaire un peu les intérieurs des bâtiments qui commencent à prendre un peu d’âge je pense.

Ein wirklich sehr schönes Hotel, etwas außerhalb von Maskat gelegen. Die Anlage ist zwar sehr groß, aber auch sehr weitläufig mit viel und ausreichend Platz für die Gäste. Sowohl in den Restaurants, als auch im Spa, als auch am Strand war immer ausreichend Platz. Die Anlage ist super schön angelegt und sehr gepflegt. Das palastartige Haupthaus mutet sehr imposant an, ebenso die riesige Lobby mit ihren beeindruckenden Kronleuchtern. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön, geräumig und gemütlich - im Stil des Orients eingerichtet. Das Bett ist sehr bequem und wir konnten super gut schlafen. Sauberkeit tip top. Der Balkon ist vielleicht ein wenig eng, aber die Aussicht dafür umso schöner. Das Essen war in allen Restaurants super. Das Buffet-Restaurant bietet sehr viel Auswahl und Abwechslung. Die Speisen sind super lecker. Die beiden A la Carte-Restaurants sind ebenfalls zu empfehlen (vorher reservieren). Obwohl es im Il Palazzo auch lecker war, ist unser Favorit ganz klar das The Pavillion. Die Lage direkt am Strand, das gehobene Essen und der freundliche Service überzeugen durchweg. Bei den A la Carte-Restaurants werden bei Buchung von Halbpension 25 OMR pro Person gutgeschrieben, was im Schnitt auch für den Abend ausreicht. Das chinesische Restaurant war leider geschlossen. Insgesamt ist das Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wünsche und Fragen werden umgehend aufgenommen und bearbeitet. Besonders freundlich waren die Kollegen im The Pavillion Restaurant. Leider gibt es hier auch einen großen Kritikpunkt: Uns wurden zwei Belege fälschlicherweise in Rechnung gestellt und obwohl der Fehler klar beim Hotel liegt, was uns noch direkt vor Ort bestätigt wurde, haben wir die Beträge auch heute - 1,5 Monate später - noch nicht zurückbekommen. Das Hotel mauert und ist leider nicht hilfsbereit. Der Poolbereich ist ebenfalls sehr schön mit ausreichend Platz und Liegen. Insgesamt sehr weitläufig, sodass man sowohl am Pool als auch am Strand entspannen kann. Die Pool Bar bietet ausreichend Getränke und Snacks, aber leider zu sehr hohen Preisen. Dazu gibt es einen schönen, breiten Sandstrand, der zum Baden und Spazieren einlädt. Wassersport-Aktivitäten werden vom Hotel angeboten, teils gegen Bezahlung. Das Hotel hat zudem einen wunderschönen Wellness-Bereich, der zum Entspannen einlädt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unsere Massagen waren ein Traum. Und da ich Geburtstag hatte, war der Raum auch noch liebevoll dekoriert. Preislich gesehen nicht das günstigste Angebot.

Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton Al Bustan was truly an unexpected highlight of our trip. We arrived in Muscat feeling quite discouraged, as our original travel plans had been disrupted and we had to cancel part of our journey. However, from the moment we arrived at the hotel, the warm hospitality of the team completely changed the mood of our trip. We were very grateful for the thoughtful room upgrade and the late checkout, which allowed us to relax and fully enjoy the property without feeling rushed. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful — the gardens, the private beach, and the dramatic mountains surrounding the resort create a very special atmosphere. What we appreciated most was the sense of calm and generosity from the staff. After a stressful few days of travel disruptions, Al Bustan felt like a peaceful retreat and reminded us to appreciate the unexpected moments in a journey. Sometimes the best experiences are the ones you never planned. Our stay here turned a difficult travel situation into a memorable and meaningful part of our trip. Thank you to the entire team for the wonderful hospitality. We hope to return someday.
