رصدخانه اُلُغ‌بیگ در سمرقند توسط الغ‌بیگ امیر تیموری ساخته شد. این رصد خانه بنا به عقیده بسیاری از کارشناسان یکی از بهترین رصدخانه‌های جهان اسلام و بزرگترین آنها در آسیای میانه بوده است.بزرگترین ستاره‌شناسان آن عهد از جمله غیاث‌الدین جمشید کاشانی و علی قوشچی در این رصدخانه به تحقیق پرداخته‌اند.

واقعا ارزش دیدن نداره نسبت به این قیمت کلا یک سالن هست و یک دستگاه خراب شده رصد اینجا باید مجانی باشه دیدنش خوب نیست که از هر چی بخواهید پول در بیارین

El Ulugh Beg Observatory es básicamente el lugar donde, en el siglo XV, un sultán decidió que mirar las estrellas era más interesante que conquistar tierras. 🔭✨ Fue construido por Ulugh Beg, un príncipe que en vez de pelear guerras prefería hacer matemáticas y estudiar el cielo (bastante moderno para su época). Lo más impresionante es su gigante sextante de piedra, una especie de “regla astronómica” enorme con la que medían la posición de las estrellas sin telescopios ni tecnología moderna… solo con cerebro, paciencia y noches frías. ⭐Un príncipe, un observatorio gigante y muchos astrónomos mirando el cielo… intentando entender el universo mucho antes de que existiera Google o la NASA. 🚀 Lo que no merezca mucho la pena es pagar la entrada al museo ya que es muy pequeño para el coste de la entrada que son 75000 soms y en menos de media hora lo has visto

During my visit to the Ulugh Beg Observatory in Samarkand, I explored one of the most remarkable scientific centers of the medieval world. Built in the 15th century by the great astronomer Ulugh Beg, this observatory was home to the massive underground sextant that allowed incredibly accurate measurements of the stars. Ulugh Beg gathered brilliant scholars around him and created the famous star catalogue, the Zij-i Sultani, which remained one of the most precise in history. The reputation of this observatory reached far beyond Central Asia—scientists and scholars from places like Rome and India visited Samarkand, studied Ulugh Beg’s methods, and later introduced similar astronomical research in their own countries. Walking through the preserved structure and seeing the historic instruments, I felt the powerful legacy of a time when Samarkand was a global center of knowledge. This observatory still stands today as a symbol of curiosity, innovation, and the timeless human desire to understand the universe.

Damn I burned lots of cash in buying tickets in Samarkand. For small places the tickets should be cheaper. For tourist, ticket prices are 4 times higher. 75000 som per person for observatory & museum. Anyway it was a good visit. Good to know about the history of a Muslim astronomer Mirza Ulugbek, acknowledged worldwide later in 15th, 16th & 18th century by various western institutions. Mirza also had a madrassa (college) which is the building on the left in Registan sqaure. Mirza Ulug bag documented approx 1900 stars using his observatory. A great achievement in his era.

Uluğ Bey Rasathanesi, 15. yüzyılda astronom ve hükümdar Uluğ Bey tarafından kurulmuş, döneminin en önemli bilim merkezlerinden biridir. Burada yapılan gözlemler sayesinde yıldız katalogları hazırlanmış ve astronomi tarihinde önemli çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Tarihi açıdan oldukça değerli bir yer ve Uluğ Bey’in bilime verdiği önemi görmek etkileyici. Fakat rasathane şehir merkezinin dışında kalıyor ve ulaşım için ekstra zaman harcamak gerekiyor. Alan oldukça küçük, görülecek şeyler sınırlı ve açıkçası 75.000 som giriş ücretine değdiğini düşünmüyorum. Ayrıca çıkış merdivenlerinden bazı insanların ücretsiz şekilde giriş yaptığını görmek de kendimi enayi gibi hissettirdi. Astronomiye özel bir ilginiz yoksa gelmenize değmez bence.

ウルグ・ベクがいかに偉大な人物か、ウズベキスタン（ティムール朝）が科学や文化の交差点としていかに重要であったかこの天文台の資料を眺めてくると伝わってきます。 遺跡としてはただ穴のレールのようなものを眺めるだけなのですが、展示品と照らし合わせながら歴史を読み進めることで西はトルコから南はインドに至るまでウズベキスタンの果たした歴史的役割に思いを馳せることができます。

This is an interesting place to visit while in Samarkand. Guides are available if you wish to hire one for an additional £10. I tried using the app they advertise for information, but unfortunately found it to be a complete waste of time.

지하 유적의 정체: 안내판 속 깊은 도랑처럼 보이는 구조물은 15세기 당시 별과 행성의 고도를 측정하기 위해 정밀하게 설계된 반지름 40m의 거대한 수직 호(Meridian Arc) 형태의 육분의 하단부입니다. 과거 이 벽면들은 매끄러운 대리석으로 덮여 있었습니다.경이로운 정확도: 티무르 제국의 통치자이자 천문학자였던 울루그베그는 망원경이 발명되기 전 오직 육안과 이 거대한 천문 기구만을 사용하여 1,018개의 별의 위치를 담은 성도(Zij-i Sultani)를 완성했습니다. 그가 계산한 1년의 길이는 현대 과학의 측정값과 단 58초밖에 차이가 나지 않습니다.발굴과 보존: 1449년 울루그베그의 사후 천문대는 종교적 광신도들에 의해 파괴되었으나, 1908년 고고학자 바실리 비아트킨에 의해 지하 유적 형태의 잔해가 재발굴되었습니다.

Обсерватория Мирзо Улугбека — одно из самых важных и впечатляющих историко-научных мест Самарканда. Здесь ощущаешь не только красоту древности, но и величие науки. Огромный секстант, сохранившийся под землёй, поражает своей точностью и масштабом — сложно поверить, что такие расчёты делались в XV веке. Музей небольшой, но очень информативный: экспозиции рассказывают о жизни Улугбека, его научных открытиях и значении обсерватории для мировой астрономии. Это место помогает по-настоящему понять, насколько высок был уровень науки в Самарканде того времени. Территория ухоженная, тихая и спокойная. Отличное место, чтобы погрузиться в историю и получить новые знания. Обязательно к посещению всем, кто интересуется астрономией, историей и культурой Востока.

Ce lieu est plus une relique d’un instrument d’astronomie de très haute précision qu’un nième mausolée d’Ulugh Beg, le savant éclairé de la dynastie timouride. De cette gigantesque alidade il n’a été exhumé qu’un petit quart, mais c’est le vestige émouvant des observations d’une rare précision faites en ce lieu. De bien maigres explications et reconstitutions de l’observatoire figurent dans le petit musée de la medersa attenante. Un petit trésor pour les esprits scientifiques !

While the site has historical importance, it's not worth the price. The main point is the giant quadrant that was the most precise astronomical tool at the time, but the museum exposition does a poor job explaining what was done there. Also it's located quite far so probably do it only if you have plenty of time and money to spare.

Musée minuscule surtout au vu du prix de l'entrée, 75 000/ personne. Très peu d'explications a l'intérieur. Sauf passionné, passez votre chemin.

Very overpriced for what you see/experience. Underwhelming. Had to pay cash as card machine apparently broken. 75,000 sum for foreigners which is a lot in comparison to other sites such as the Necropolis down the road which was amazing and cost 80,000 sum

Знаковое место, которое стоит посетить. Музей небольшой, но экспонаты в целом интересные. Сохранённая часть обсерватории - это одно из важнейших достопримечательностей. Цена билета кажется немного завышенной по сравнению с остальными местами Самарканда.

Tarihte hesaplanan tarihe geçmiş bilgilerin günümüz bilgileri ile tam örtüşmesi,cehaletin her dönemde bilgiden korması çok üzücü.

I visited Ulugbek’s Observatory in Samarkand with high hopes; after all, this place is legendary. Built in the 1420s under the Timurid astronomer-prince Ulugh Beg, it was once one of the world’s great observatories, famed for its huge sextant (or quadrant), star catalogues, and the work of scholars like Al-Kashi and Ali Qushji. Today, what remains is impressive but limited. Much of the original instruments are gone, the marble arc trench (part of the giant quadrant) is visible underground, and a modest museum stands beside the site with some replicas, panels, and stories about Ulugh Beg’s scientific achievements. Entrance fee was 75,000 soms, which felt steep considering how little is preserved and how much you’ll either need to imagine or know in advance to appreciate. Without a guide, a lot of context is lost though i wouldn't recommend going with a guide, so going early morning helps; fewer crowds, better lighting, more peace to soak it in. Still, for history lovers or anyone curious, it’s worth seeing. The view, the sense that you’re standing where great minds once calculated the stars; it has power. If you like science, history, or just striking old ruins, I’d recommend stopping by; but go in with realistic expectations.

When Europe was in the dark ages and the science was surpresed by chatolic church, Ulugbek and his colleagues were progressive and open minded. Museum is small but a good insight in to all the findings.

Giriş ücretli, turlarin da uğrak noktası müze kismi çok gürültülü. İngilizce, ozbekce ve Rusça bilgilendirme mevcut ama yetersiz.
