Quality of dates is too bad . I buy around 1000 aed stuff . And dates got insect inside. I physically went again on shop and show all photos .uncle who on bill counter he told bring it back . I want to ask one thing 3 kg dates i will bring again from India with insect. I showed my bank transaction also . Be aware before buying.

They turned out to be scammers: they sold chocolate-covered dates for the price of Dubai chocolate.😠12 of them were dates and only 4 were chocolates with pistachios.

A MUST VISIT If you are looking to buy spices, dryfruit and chocolates at Reasonable and Honest Prices. Prices are MUCH CHEAPER HERE, compared to touristy shops in the centre of Meena Bazaar. I picked up 1KG Premium Whole Green Cardamom @ 90AED! here compared to other shops selling between 120-160AED.

Ali Akbar Asadi general trading is located in Bur Dubai opposite to Abra station (Bur Dubai). This shop sells wide range of products - Spices, Lentils, Grains, Dry-fruits, Chocolate, Dates and much more! Prices are quite cheaper and around 30-45% less compared to supermarkets like Carrefour/Spinneys/Lulu. You can also find less quality dry fruits at much cheaper rates. Only drawback of this shop is that prices are not displayed and bargaining works at this shop like Spice souk/market. If you are planning to buy in bulk, do negotiable the price.
