What I liked the best is the presentation rather than the food itself. Best ones are turkish bread, pal parota in a chatty and the overall experience. Kapama rice was average, starters are not that unique. The service is good and kid friendly.

We traveled all the way from Sulthan Bathery to Kalpetta specifically to try this restaurant, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The total bill for two of us was around 1,900. The Good: The Turkish Pide was delicious and packed with flavor. Also, the lady who took our order was very pleasant and helpful in explaining the menu. The Bad: The Garlic Soup had no garlic flavor at all. For the main course, we had the Kebab platter and Bukhari rice, but both were a letdown the chicken in both dishes was bland and lacked any real seasoning. Sadly, it felt like a waste of time and effort. Giving ⭐⭐ stars only for the service and the Pide.

Visited for dinner, and we ended up trying a lot of items from their menu. The highlight for me was definitely the Chicken Chatti Curry and Thenga Pathil absolutely incomparable! The flavours were perfect and truly stood out. We also tried the Kunafa with ice creamwhich had decent flavours and made for a nice dessert ending. For the veg options, we had Mushroom Masala, Dal Fry, Butter Naan, Paneer Kadai and of course, some ice cream. Everything was well-prepared and satisfying. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Since it was their 1st year anniversary they even had a magician performing, which added a fun and unexpected touch to the evening. Overall, a really good experience delicious food, great service, and a lively atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting!

We ordered Fish Tawa, Fried Rice, and Dragon Chicken. The staff highly recommended the Fish Tawa, but unfortunately, it was the worst dish we ordered. It cost ₹1,800, which was far too expensive for the quality provided. The fish was not properly cooked, and we were very disappointed with the overall experience. The service was also disappointing, as they recommended an expensive dish without clearly informing us of the price beforehand. My advice to other customers is to always ask for the price before accepting any recommendations from the staff.

This was our first time visiting Alibaba, and we came with good expectations about the food and overall experience. Even after sitting at the table for some time, no one came to us. We had to go to the reception ourselves and ask for the menu. After placing the order, almost 20 minutes passed and we were not even served water or cutleries. When we asked, they said they would bring it, but it took a long time. The food came first, but still no spoons. Again, we had to wait more than 20 minutes to get the cutleries. The worst part was the food request. While ordering the soup, we clearly asked them not to add mushrooms. Still, the soup was served with mushrooms. My friend is allergic, and because of this, we had a very bad experience. Overall, very poor service and lack of attention to basic customer requests. However, the food itself was yummy and tasted really good.

Ali Baba & 41 Deshes at Kalpetta was a wonderful dining experience. We tried the Dish Mandi and the Turkish BBQ Chicken, and both were absolutely delicious. The mandi was flavorful, aromatic, and perfectly cooked, while the Turkish BBQ chicken was juicy, well-marinated, and packed with rich smoky flavors.

We randomly visited this place on the first day of our trip to Wayanad and then ended up going there all the three days. Their food is really tasty and their service was welcoming, polite and helpful — which is really what made us go back on all the days of our short visit.

The hotel seems to be new, and it reflects in the experience. Food taste needs improvement. Service was slow and felt it was unorganized. With better training and refinement, the hotel has good potential.

Had kapama beef and karuveppila chicken fry, the chicken fry is good but the kapama beef felt disastrous. The beef is so dry and hard, felt rubbery to chew. The rice is not as flavourful as we eat the same kapama mutton or chicken in trivandrum. Felt disappointed after eating here.

I broke my fast here yesterday and I am sharing my experience. The snacks and juice for breaking the fast were good, but the main course was not worth it at all. The biryani was very bad and something in the food made it feel heavy and unpleasant. Overall, the food quality was below average.

The restaurant is simply great and serves delicious Kerala and Arabian cusine. The service is top notch and a great place for families and friends...This was my first time in Wayanad and I would come here again for the hospitality and the delicious food. They also were distributing sweets and savouries from the 80's that we used to relish as kids for their anniversary...this made my day.

Yesterday evening (31-05-2026) was honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. Families do not visit reputed restaurants just to satisfy their hunger; if someone only wants food, there are plenty of basic options available in Kalpetta. People visit established names expecting good food, a peaceful atmosphere, quality service, and a pleasant time together. Sadly, Alibaba & 41 Dishes ’n Bab Arabia completely failed to deliver on all fronts. The Major Issues: No AC & Indifferent Staff: The air conditioning was barely functioning. When we brought this up to the staff, we received no proper response. The manager seemed completely careless and lacked basic hospitality and customer handling skills. Massive Stock Issues: The ordering process was incredibly frustrating. Almost every single item we requested was either canceled or deemed "out of stock." From pepperoni to beef items—it was the same disappointing answer every single time. The management here is extremely poor, resulting in a pathetic and highly disappointing family dining experience. I truly regret choosing this restaurant based on its high Google reviews.

I ordered chicken biryani through Zomato expecting a flavorful delight, but it fell flat. Too much rice which was overwhelmingly bland and chicken also lacked any real taste, making the whole dish average at best. Disappointing experience.

This is a very good place to enjoy a meal. It’s in a great location, which makes it easy to find. The food they serve is really tasty, and the overall experience was pleasant. One small issue was that it took a little longer than expected for the food to arrive. But apart from that, there were no problems at all. The restaurant has a lovely ambience – it's calm, welcoming, and nicely decorated. They also keep the place very clean, which is always a big plus. What stood out was the extra care they show towards children. They even give kids special plates with cartoon characters on them, which is a thoughtful and fun touch. It shows how much they care about their customers and want everyone, including families, to feel comfortable and happy.

Overall, Alibaba & 41 Dishes is a solid choice for an Iftar buffet in Kalpetta. If you’re looking for good biriyani and tasty snacks in a decent setting, it’s definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared for some waiting time if the restaurant is crowded. With a bit more attention to food replenishment, it could be an excellent buffet spot!

Chef Rehman recommend north Indian style Panner lababdar and it was soo good. 5/5 on taste. Arabic food is also good here.

It took 20 minutes just to clean the table, another 20 minutes to take our order, and another 20 minutes to serve the plates. After that, we waited an additional 40 minutes and were still served only half the order—out of just two biryanis, one steamed rice, and one fish curry. When this was brought to the manager’s attention, instead of resolving the issue, he merely tried to justify the delay, which made the experience even more frustrating. Overall, the service was extremely slow, poorly coordinated, and unacceptable, especially for such a simple order.
