Beautiful Alleppey boating experience. Very peaceful and refreshing. Loved the backwater views.

We used Alice Houseboat, It was a wonderful experience. The crew were really friendly and multi lingual. The food offered at the Houseboat was amazing. The captain was very friendly and insightful. The rooms inside the boat were slightly outdated.

Too good experience of stay in Allepy. You get good room and terrace with backwater boat view. Staff is good. We stayed here for 2 nights. Just the concern is about you have to order food online and hotels are near by 1.5km distance. People are good. Good space you get to sit too. Backwater view is good.

Very pathetic condition of the living area, hazardous conditions, I am attaching a picture for reference. Bedsheet was already used by multiple people. Rooms were shady and the manager looked like he was on some drug. We had booked 3 rooms but the behaviour of the manager was very ignorant and abusive , even the owner is very rude. I am giving 5 stars so that you guys can refer this review as a red signal.

Our houseboat stay was a huge letdown for several reasons. First, when we arrived at the resort for check-in, no one attended to us. We waited for almost 30 minutes with no communication or assistance, which set a bad tone for the trip. When we finally got on the boat, it was filthy—dust and grime everywhere, and there were even bugs in the bed. The bedsheets smelled, making it impossible to feel comfortable. The bathroom was especially disgusting, with a broken toilet, adding to the overall discomfort. To make matters worse, the water from the sink looked like it was coming straight from the lake itself; it had a strange color that made us question whether it was safe to use at all. There was also a noticeable lack of basic facilities, like a non-working TV, which was frustrating. What made things even worse was the total disregard for safety. There were no safety instructions, and we couldn’t find any lifejackets on board. The safety gate was also broken and held together by a rope, which felt extremely unsafe. During the trip, the boat stopped for almost an hour without any explanation. No one told us why we were stuck or how long it would last, leaving us feeling stranded and even more frustrated. The owner was very apologetic when we expressed our concerns, but it was clear that nothing was ever corrected. They never contested past reviews, which makes you wonder how many others had similar experiences. Even if this service were offered for free, I wouldn’t recommend it. Between the smelly sheets, filthy conditions, questionable water, broken amenities, safety concerns, and lack of communication, it was a stressful and disappointing experience from start to finish. Avoid at all costs.

This review is only about the houseboat which we hired for a day trip, worth RS 7k. We understand that this is not the highest day trip scheme, but any such trip should have at least basic clean amenities. Like seating arrangements. It was raining and the entire vessel got soaked in water, the bedroom was dripping with water from all sides, roof etc. We literally had no place to sit properly! The vessel was not at all clean, seats were dirty, non further amenities apart from some chairs were provided. This we realised immediately after boarding and not after rain. The washroom was smelly and the entire lower dech was open, and thus wet. The upper deck was a bit more covered, but suffered the same fate, after heavy rain everything got drenched, the only sofa present there was thus immediately unfit for seating for the entire journey!!! Rain is very common here, so adequate protection is a basic necessity. Rain can't be made an excuse for a very poor service!! The two caretakers were okay, and the food was good, even though the so called welcome drink was just a worn out maaza syrup, which caused uneasiness in the stomach. Very strongly do not recommend using this service. Whatever service one should provide, there must be a minimum hygiene and amenities. I reiterate that I'm neither implying nor claiming to wish for any kind of luxury, but bare minimum standards. Do not use this service.

1. Rooms were infested with mosquitoes. There were so many that I lost count and could not sleep in that room even after being offered with an ALL OUT mosquito repellent. 2. Service was extremely bad when asked about the solution to mosquitoes. The staff even came across as arrogant when it came to discussing the issues. The staff gave an alternative room which had lizard poops Alla round the room and had not been cleaned for ages. 3. Location is a plus point, next to the backwaters , nearby to boat jetty.

Apart from the maintenance everything was good and worth for the money and I can blindly recommend for someone else !

We stayed here for 1 night hotel is very good condition rooms are neat and clean and staff are so polite to customers. location is very nice near to river overall at the budget price we got comfortable stay option at this property we will highly recommend this property to budget travelers and who like silent location they have also house boat stay option and at request they will provide shikara ride at affordable rates shikara will come opposite to this property and drop at same location we like the property and ambience and behaviour of staff only minus point is they don't have hot water facility and car parking but at request they provide me electric kettle to get hot water I will give 10 / 10 to efforts from staff they care each and every customer thanks you we will highly appreciate the efforts of the staff thank you From Mr Pradnesh Karbhari

The hotel is open only till 10PM after that they'll close the gate. You'll have to inform them in advance if you're going to get late. You should consider this before booking as there are great beachside restaurants & cafes available & they are open late in night

We had a wonderful stay here. Property is a perfect hidden GEM that not many people know yet. Absolutely amazing hospitality and the room was so spacious and beautiful. Property has a great vibe by itself. Mr.Sherif and the team are quite helpful and guided us for the places . This place is very close to backwaters , looking forward to come back and stay for longer period. One should must experience the homestay at this place

Don't even consider staying here. Our recent experience at this houseboat was a complete nightmare. The online photos are deceptive, showing a completely different reality. Upon arrival, we were shocked by the filthy kitchen and the appalling quality of the food, which made us sick. The accommodation was disgustingly dirty, with stained bed sheets, towels, and rugs, not to mention the infestation of ants. The bathroom smelled so bad that it was nauseating. When we tried to get a refund from the main office, they harassed us and tried to push the blame onto the boat crew. Overall, it was a disaster. The lack of accountability and disregard for both guests and staff is appalling. Avoid this place like the plague. Also, communication with the staff in English was virtually impossible, which only added to the frustration

Houseboat Cruise at Alleppey is a must, it should be in bucket list of everyone , My family and me really enjoyed the cruise , the food served was just awesome , we got authentic Kerala thali with fish fry really loved the taste and yummy. One thing I really want to appreciate is that staffs behaviour, they are very helpful and gone a extent to make our journey wonderful. From Manager to Staffs in here , everyone is really kind and helpful. Fantastic Service and best charge that's what I can say about .

We had a really pleasant experience with Lake promise house boat ,well maintained, neat and clean houseboat,cordial and well behaved staff.Food was really homely,of good quality and delicious.l would like to acknowledge the service of Muhammed Sherief and crew who were incredible attentive,friendly and efficient,making our first house boat experience (that too with a naughty toddler whose needs were taken care of by each and every one in the boat)truly memorable.We felt truly pampered and well taken care of which prompts us to avail their service again.Thank you for making our house boat experience magnificient .

I visited the resort last friday to spend my weekend. There is no comment more than awesome . The ambience of the resort was superb. 👌Impressive hospitality. Rooms are perfect clean and well arranged. Its a must try place. Just like the name, the view from the balcony created goosebumps. Just superb

DO NOT STAY HERE Our recent experience at this houseboat was nothing short of a nightmare. The photos online painted a misleading picture, far from the reality. These photos are not photos of the houseboat, they are fake. Upon arrival, we were appalled by the unsanitary conditions of the kitchen and the disgusting quality of the food served, which left us feeling ill. The cleanliness of the accommodation was equally disappointing, with stained bed sheets, stained towels, stained rugs, and a persistent ant problem. The bathroom smelled so bad that it made us gag. We were served raw fish that had not been prepared properly, guts pouring out of the fish (see photo). When we requested a refund from the main office due to our horrendous experience, we were met with harassment and attempts to shift responsibility onto the boat crew. It was revealed that the crew members were paid a mere 1000 rupees for a 24-hour shift, shedding light on the exploitation they endure. Overall, our stay was a complete disaster. The lack of accountability and disregard for both guests and staff's well-being is utterly appalling. Avoid at all costs. Adding to the frustration, communication with the staff in English was nearly impossible, exacerbating the already dire situation.

I had a great time at Alice Lake Promise Resorts. The view of the river was beautiful, and the staff were friendly. The rooms were comfy. I’d definitely recommend it to others looking for a peaceful getaway

Not satisfied with the stay. There was no room service, no hot water in the washroom and they have not provided water bottle too. Rooms are very small. Only the view was good.

Rooms are good and clean. Hall fan was not working. Staffs are not friendly. Staff passes through the hall without any notice. Didn't got towels and soap in bathroom. Didn't got drinking water so we had to buy them and there are no shops nearby. No parking area for the property, so we had to park in pay and park for 100rs per day. Didn't got free Wi-Fi. These are ok but the behavior of the staff are like we entered their property without their permission
