I was frustrated with the communication between the doctors and the rest of the staff. After I went through initial tests and found I wasn't in immediate danger, I was put in a room in the emergency observation area. They hooked me up to some monitors and left me. After a couple hours, I called the nurse and asked for a blanket and if I could take my boots off. Then asked about where the restroom was. They said I could unhook the monitors and go when I needed to. I tried hooking the monitors back up but did something wrong cus they kept beeping and had to call the nurse to correct it. I then asked to turn down the lights and for something to drink. They were ok with helping me but I had to ask for everything. When I finally spoke to the cardiologist, the following day at noon, she told me she was going to order a stress test and explained that it would probably take about 3 hours to review the results and if everything looked good, I would be released. I never saw her again and although I felt the stress test and all the previous tests were good. , I was told that they hadn't been reviewed yet and I probably wasn't going home. I ordered breakfast for 7am and after I asked why I didn't have it yet an hour and half after I requested it, they told me I was NPO cus I might need another test. I was never consulted with and had to insist on speaking to a doctor so I knew what was going on. It took 18 hours for me to get an actual room and bed. Also, was asked if any new drugs would be needed, would I want them sent to my pharmacy or the Hospital pharmacy to pick up when discharged. I said I wanted my pharmacy. When they actually did prescribe something, they had one sent to the hospital and one sent to my pharmacy. I went to pick up the one at the hospital and they had just received it so told me it was going to be anotger 15 - 20 minutes. I told them I didn't want to wait again and asked them to send it to my pharmacy. They said I had to have my pharmacy request it. I waited a day and requested it, but my pharmacy said they told them there wasn't anything to transfer. I am calling the doctor again today to find out out what the deal is .

This is a formal complaint regarding the care I received during my recent hospitalization beginning Friday morning when I arrived by ambulance to the Emergency Department with excruciating chest pain. Upon arrival, the Emergency Department physicians appropriately treated my condition as serious and potentially life-threatening. The first physician expressed concern for a possible aortic aneurysm, which was ruled out, followed by concern for a possible bile duct or pancreatic issue. I was told I would receive an MRI that same day; however, the MRI did not occur until Saturday at approximately 11:30 a.m., representing a significant and unexplained delay in care. After admission, I was transferred to the third floor around 9:30 p.m., at which point my care deteriorated significantly. During my entire hospitalization, my prescribed home medications were withheld without explanation. Despite repeatedly raising concerns, I did not receive any of my medications until the day of discharge—and even then, I received only one pill. When I directly asked the case manager/nurse practitioner, Joe, why my medications had been withheld, I was told, “I don’t know.” This response is unacceptable and demonstrates a lack of accountability and continuity of care. At discharge, I was shocked to discover that my paperwork listed the diagnosis as COPD exacerbation, which is entirely inaccurate. At no point during my hospitalization did I undergo pulmonary function testing, receive oxygen therapy, or experience shortness of breath. COPD was never the reason for my admission. Furthermore: My discharge paperwork makes no mention of chest pain, which was the sole reason I arrived by ambulance. I was then incorrectly documented as being hospitalized for abdominal/epigastric pain, which I did not have. My documented diagnoses shifted inexplicably from chest pain, to COPD, to abdominal pain, none of which accurately reflect my clinical presentation or reason for admission. Because of these serious discrepancies and the overall negligence in my care, I refused to leave the hospital until my concerns were acknowledged and I requested to speak with hospital management at the time of discharge. The attending physician listed on my discharge paperwork, Shawn Letarte, should be held accountable for: Failure to accurately diagnose or document my condition Failure to ensure continuity of care Failure to reconcile or administer prescribed medications Demonstrating a lack of awareness of why I was hospitalized

I had a minor injury this past summer 2025. I received exceptional care from Helene H the physician assistant during my ER visit. She was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. Everything was explained clearly and I felt well taken care of from start to finish. Outstanding experience — thank you!

I went to ER for chest pain on 2-9-26. I was sent to Observation eventually at about 10 pm. There were 2 beds, but was told there probably wouldn't be anyone else in there, since it was so late. I told the nurse that I have severe anxiety and can't be with another patient. The next morning, of course, there was another patient brought in. My stress levels go way up, because of patient having her husband come in, all of her nurses and doctors, etc. appearing throughout the day, her TV on different channels right beside mine. I cannot tolerate the noise, confusion, and no privacy at all of what the other patient is discussing with her medical people and what my nurses and doctors are discussing with me. This was also in an old room, where the bathroom had a low toilet (very bad on my back and knees), no mirror over the sink (it was on wall across from the toilet), and the toilet paper was up high and far out to reach from the toilet (patients in wheelchairs would have had a problem, also). I also couldn't have anything to eat or drink (it had been since 9:00 pm Mon. night and was now about 5 pm Tue. night) because I was told there might be other tests, then that they were going to admit me to 6th floor, then was told to order food, but on cardiac diet, even though cardiac doctors had been in and said the tests were all negative. At about 5 pm, I couldn't take anymore and was in tears (after 3 doctors came in all at once to other patient's bedside, blocking door to bathroom, and talking to her loudly). I got dressed and went to counter in hallway to wait for nurse to remove IV and give me the AMA to sign. That hospital has done a lot of construction, but not enough single rooms in Observation.

Everyone at the hospital was professional and caring. I don't think there was a single person that was part of my care that didn't say ,"I hope you get better". Very much appreciated. That includes the emergency room personnel, the nurses on the floor that I was sent to, and the testing labs that I was tested at. This thanks also includes all of the support personnel. Keep up the great work caring for us patients. Tom Summers

1/27/26 was a great experience there was a little bit of a weight but when I was in the hal l first thing off my pain was address right away, with out being treated like most of the time a drug addict. I don't know why they do that at your hospital but it seems ridiculous if your in pain take care of it don't leave the patient suffering they have been suffering scent the accident and waiting in waiting room. So anyway my pain was address and I had great care with wonderful attitudes there was a scripted wrote and I was on my way. Thank you so much for the great care I appreciated it very much.

Went in for extreme back pain since my pcp passed away and couldn’t see him. Went in and sadly couldn’t get an MRI since it would take over a day for it to get developed/results. They gave me great pain management and gave me good places to go that are accepting new patients so I can go get an MRI quickly. Pleasant and quick.

We came in by ambulance during one of the worst nights of our ordeal so far since his surgery. Once I arrived, the security team greeted me and shared some pleasantries and sent me along my way. No complaints there they did fantastic. Directed back to our room and two people last night definitely need recognition. ER Nurse Emily, last night you were great at handling a situation not many people would want to. Anytime we needed something, we would press the call button and came running in Emily in almost record time everytime. Beat out all the other nurses so far. Emily knows her job well and does it to the utmost potential. Another fellow I didn’t get a name was a cleaner who was sent to clean up the bathroom, thank you sir. I feel your pain. Truly I do. Anyway, don’t know why this place gets so many bad reviews, in an actual emergency situation, they handle themselves fantastically well and deserve all praise. I’m guessing it’s the 3-11 ish er shift. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

My mom, Arletta Fuller was just in the hospital. Everyone was very concerned and took very good care of her until Thursday and Friday. Dirty linen was left wadded up in a chair. I threw it on the floor and they just walked around it instead of taking care of it. Only saw the nurse once the whole time we were there. A scope was being done and we got there around noon. I was told the procedure had been moved to eleven. I asked if we needed to be somewhere else and they said no just wait in here room. After 2 hours we were starting to worry. Asked a couple tiles to see her nurse and seems no one could find her cause we never saw her. Finally another lady I think respiratory therapist asked if she could help. Once again we waited . She came back and took us to ,3rd floor and they were just prepping her. When she got back to her room we finally saw her nurse once. No one came to check on her again. She has dementia and had no idea why they moved her or why she laid down there so long. On Saturday she finally had a good nurse who gave her a wonderful bath and was so caring and thoughtful and checked on mom. She was discharged on Monday to rehab. Mom left Jackson with a bed sore. Never should have happened. Their famous last words were I’ll be right back and never come.

Five stars for an Excellent medical staff. Would recommend it here anytime. I was in the ER over night waiting on a room. Ordered breakfast at 7:30. I didn't get get it till 11. Cold eggs and all. Now that I was recently moved to my room ,I guess no dinner tonight didn't follow me. The food service must treat ER differently. My wife got her dinner in 30 minutes. Sure sucks not be able to eat. Can you give 0 stars for food service.

I will literally never go to this hospital again!!!! The doctors are extremely unprofessional and didn’t even try to do their job with an Autistic child that I brought in. We were not helped at all knowing my daughter was dehydrated and sick they didn’t even give her fluids, they didn’t even try. And when we reviewed the doctors after the visit the hospital didn’t even have enough decency to contact us to speak about it. But they will sure enough send a bill and want our money for not even attempting to help our child. I will go anywhere but here!! Especially if you’re African American!! We went twice to get her help and I ended up having to look for another African American doctor for my daughter to finally get help and antibiotics after her not eating and drinking and only sleeping for 7 days!

I would give it 0 stars. They almost killed my grandma yes you read that right. Imagine someone with COPD and on oxygen 24/7 and w doctor ordered and the nurses shut the air supply off to the patient completely. Their reason you ask? They were "testing" to see how she would do. Her oxygen was at 84% when I arrived and she was screaming asking for help since they shut off her call light. It's all recorded. Security were nice enough to apologize for the behavior and assisted with getting my grandma discharged for different care. However I've never seen such heartless people. They have the lives in their hands and they are trying to play god I suppose.. very cruel and inhumane. Highly recommend u of m the best hospital in Michigan as they actually Care and make sure your air is on and listen and don't put you in harms way. 0 stars if I could, very disappointed and heartbroken after having to save my grandma at the hospital. Glad I made it in time. She wouldn't be here with me today if I didn't.

Put in room for observation post shoulder surgery, due to heart disease. They never hooked up a monitor to me, or come in to check my heart. Diabetic and they took all those medications from me. Next day blood sugar was 400! Now they want me to stay longer to bring them down. Student nurse told me not to get out of bed without help, rang the nurse and waited 45 minutes before I got out of bed myself to use restroom. She came in room and I asked her for icepack, she told me the one I had was cold enough. Surgery was very good with great results, I would never go to HenryFord to be admitted to them. Chelsea hospital way better.

The Dr clamped the cord immediately and rushed the birth of my baby, even though there were not any health risks. A nurse made a comment that she “did it again” as if this wasn’t the first time this issue occurred with this doctor. The rest of the team was incredible. The doctor yelled at me for taking a minute to breathe between pushes. Almost a year later and I am still bothered by the behavior of the doctor and how she treated me.

Health care is great ..nurses are fantastic. You have to do something about your cafeteria. Limited options. Very few healthy choices. Tons of sugar, candy everywhere, chips, processed foods. Salad bar lettuce was brown and slimy. Only one fruit choice because the strawberries were empty(and the few that were in there were rotten)...and high priced for what you do get. Because of my medical issues we have stayed at 7 hospitals and your cafeteria is not just a little worse, it's like night and day. I couldn't find anything edible and had to walk to my car and go elsewhere. I will do you the grace of not posting photos.

The L&D Staff , Mother / Baby Staff , Special Care Nursery Staff , Dr Baker , Dr Judge , and Dr Nicholson are absolutely the BEST people we could have asked for . They not only keep your best interest in mind but your babies health really feels like their priority , I couldn’t thank these Ladies and Guys enough . Will always think of these people as top of the line for baby care

I wouldn't feel safe recommending anybody to bring there child to this hospital. Seems there practices are to treat people only when your to the point of dieing or need a procedure. My 7 year old had symptoms of a high fever, hasn't ate in days, can't keep food down and severe constipation where he can barely walk. The protocol they did was to do 2 mouth swabs and give some Tylenol, also sent home with zofran for nausea. A bunch of crap to masks symptoms. No blood test were done no x rays to check his bowels. I don't have a degree but it seems comon sense that something is further wrong. My son has since got worst, and we are headed to Motts children's hospital! You guys are ridiculous ! Update: My son had pneumonia
