I went in last week to get my usual cookies in the morning. These particular cookies I have paid the same price for two years. I go to the counter and the Philippine lady stated another price. I told her, “no, I usually pay the amount that I have paid for two years. I said I will go back a check the prices.” I did and noticed it was 25 fills different, so I got another flavor and proceeded to the counter. I told her I was sorry and then that’s when she and her attitude was nasty. She made it seem as if I didn’t have money which was not the case. I was not going to use my debit card for a purchase under 2 dirhams.
To be honest her attitude was nasty before the mistake. She was mean and her attitude was that she didn’t like a particular type of people. Apparently she has not traveled enough to realize I am Native American.
I proved my theory about her dislike for a particular group of people and sure enough a European customer she gave all 32 teeth and laughter to. Thankfully as I was explaining my grievances about her she showed exactly what I explained.
Talking to the staff member, I was told the manager will be in at eleven. I went home had my cookies and coffee and went back.
The manager was nice, professional, listened and said he would talk to her. Thank you.
I have been going to that store in the JBR/ Bahar, for over two years. NEVER had I dealt with a person that was mean, disrespectful, and treated me in a matter that came out as hateful. Everyone is so helpful and nice, she really put a blemish on such a beautiful store. I truly hope the manger by the name Sir, reprimanded her and reminded her that customers are what gives her the salary she needs.
