Radio Kashmir is the historical radio station of Jammu and Kashmir. It was started before 1947 that too in a small shed. Today it has a sprawling structure having almost staff of four hundred people. It broadcasts in kashmiri Urdu gojri purgi balti and Panjabi. A very good source of entertainment and infotainment. It has so many cultural activities and is known as an edifice for kashmiri culture and civilization.

Great vocational place to visit. Also the bride alongside is very beautiful with great restaurants.

All india radio srinagar is main radio broadcasting station of kashmir situated near zero bridge srinagar. The station broadcast news of AIR Delhi. This station also broadcast local programmes like Gojri programme, kashmiri khabarnama, songs, the station broadcast programme in different languages like kashmiri, hindi, urdu, pahari, Gojri. The station frequency is 268.81meter or 1116khz AM, MW but the station is not very clear in other districts like Kupwara Handwara, and other far away districts from srinagar. The station also broadcast on FM frequency like 102.6 mostly relay vivid bharti programmes and 103.5 relay primary MW programmes

Radio Kashmir Srinagar is the best radio station in India. Still remember the programs which we heard like zoon dub,wadi ki aawaaz, Drama serials at 9.30 pm,chakri, Dastaan Laila Majnoon and many other programs. Music by various musical groups were very popular.

It was established on 1 July 1948 when Sheikh Abdullah, then the Prime Minister of Kashmir, inaugurated the Radio Kashmir Srinagar station near the Tourist Reception Centre in Srinagar. Its broadcasting station is still located in Srinagar near Zero or Abdullah Bridge. Radio Kashmir Srinagar became most popular when Pushkar Bhan's Zoon Dab was aired for more than nineteen years from the Radio Kashmir station and became a usual medium of entertainment for the people who used to listen the Radio Kashmir 24/7.
