Expérience marquante au cœur du parc national d’Amboseli au Kenya. Le Amboseli National Park offre des paysages très distincts des autres parcs, avec de vastes plaines ouvertes, des zones marécageuses et surtout une vue emblématique sur le Kilimandjaro lorsque le ciel est dégagé. C’est l’un des meilleurs endroits en Afrique pour observer les éléphants de très près, souvent en grands troupeaux, ainsi qu’une belle diversité d’oiseaux et d’autres animaux. Les safaris sont particulièrement agréables grâce à la bonne visibilité offerte par les paysages plats. Il est facile de repérer la faune, ce qui rend les observations fréquentes et accessibles, même sans expérience. Il est notamment connu pour ses recherches de long terme sur les éléphants, menées depuis les années 1970 par des organisations comme l’Amboseli Trust for Elephants, qui ont permis de mieux comprendre leur comportement et leur structure sociale. La région est aussi habitée depuis longtemps par le peuple Maasai, qui continue d’y vivre et d’y faire paître ses troupeaux. Cependant, quelques points sont à prendre en compte : la poussière peut être très présente en saison sèche, rendant certaines journées fatigantes. À l’inverse, certaines zones deviennent boueuses et plus difficiles d’accès en période de pluie. À noter également : la présence d’oiseaux est particulièrement importante, notamment autour des zones humides. On y observe bien plus d’espèces que dans de nombreux autres parcs, ce qui en fait un excellent spot pour l’ornithologie. En résumé, Amboseli est un parc incontournable, notamment pour l’observation des éléphants et ses paysages iconiques avec le Kilimandjaro, offrant une expérience différente mais complémentaire des autres grandes réserves du Kenya.

A great Park to start our safari with the road inn is a little bumpy but you drive next to these marshes and you see the elephants standing in them and you also can see hippos munching away through them. A great way to enter the park. Our guides are a fantastic job. I'm finding all the animals so I would say you don't want to miss this one because of these marshes and we the elephants come in and out of them in the morning and in the evening. You see a stark difference between the dry Savannah and this lush Marsh area. Kilimanjaro is in the backdrop which we did get to see cuz they take you out for a sunrise which was fantastic

Parco Nazionale di Amboseli spettacolare! Tantissimi animali da vedere, soprattutto elefanti, giraffe e zebre. Il paesaggio è unico e la vista sul Monte Kilimanjaro rende tutto ancora più suggestivo, soprattutto al mattino.

Park jest świetny! Bardzo dużo zwierząt. Między innymi słonie, żyrafy, lwy, bawoły, lamparty, gnu, hipopotamy i wiele innych. Zwierzęta się przemieszczają w ciągu dnia więc dobrze mieć tutaj przynajmniej całodzienne safari. Piękny widok na Kilimandżaro. Polecam!

Best national park in Kenya to see elephants. Also best view of Mount Kilimanjaro when the weather permits. Many families of elephants roaming around. No rhinos here. Relatively close to Nairobi. We were able to see lions, hippos, hyenas, and a serval.

Just had an amazing trip to Amboseli National Park! The scenery with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background is breathtaking. Saw so many elephants up close, plus lions, giraffes, and colorful birds everywhere. The guides were super knowledgeable and friendly. Perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers. Can’t wait to go back! 🐘🌄

Amboseli National Park was an unforgettable experience. Seeing large elephant herds walking freely with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background was absolutely breathtaking. The wildlife sightings were incredible, and the open landscapes made every moment feel magical. A true safari highlight and a must-visit destination in Kenya!

If you lucky enough you might be able to see Kilimanjaro, which view is stunning! For the best views get there early! Plenty of elephants and giraffes but other animals there too!

Wonderful park with lots of elephants. It’s very accessible and therefore gets crowded. Opt to stay inside the park so you can wake up at dawn to herds of elephants right out your door. Pretty much all the big game besides rhino exist. A key highlight of this park is the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. There are amazing photo oppurtunities of giraffe and elephants with the mountain behind it. Amboseli means dust and dust there is. Bring protective gear for your equipment to shield the dust. Photos may get difficult when traffic passes kicking up a storm of dust so be wary. Definitely worth a visit and it isn’t that far from Nairobi. But stay overnight at least one night if not two.

Amboseli National Park is absolutely spectacular and one of the best safari experiences in Kenya. The views of Mount Kilimanjaro are breathtaking, especially in the early morning, and the large elephant herds are incredible to see up close. The park is less crowded than others, the landscapes are diverse, and wildlife viewing is excellent. A must-visit destination for anyone coming to Kenya.

Good national park. came on 18 march 2026, gates were open and some roads were flooded but mostly navigable. The animals are mostly nearer to the east entrance given the floods, making for easy spotting. Beyond ol tukai many roads are closed and driving is harder

Amboseli to miejsce absolutnie kultowe, a jego największym atutem jest widok na Kilimandżaro. Choć góra znajduje się już po stronie tanzańskiej, to właśnie z kenijskiego Amboseli prezentuje się ona najbardziej spektakularnie. To prawdopodobnie najlepsze miejsce w całej Afryce, by z bliska obserwować potężne stada słoni (w tym słynne "Big Tuskers"). Widok tych olbrzymów maszerujących na tle ośnieżonego szczytu to "Święty Graal" fotografii przyrodniczej. Park jest stosunkowo mały i otwarty, co ułatwia wypatrywanie zwierząt. Z jednej strony mamy wyschnięte, pyliste dno jeziora (często zjawisko fatamorgany!), a z drugiej zielone, soczyste bagna zasilane wodą z lodowców Kilimandżaro. Poza słoniami bez trudu spotka się tu hipopotamy (pluskające się w bagnach Enkongo Narok), żyrafy masajskie, zebry, bawoły oraz lwy i gepardy.

Great location for observing elephants. Kilimanjaro offers a gorgeous backdrop and successful animal sightings. In addition to elephants we saw lions with cubs, cheetahs, giraffe, zebra and much more. We spent 2 1/2 days here going on 3 game drives. Beginning at 7:30 AM and finishing around 2:00 PM, we were able to observe most of the animals. The only elusive one was the leopard. Things to bring: a small backpack with phone, camera, charging device, binoculars, sunscreen, sunglasses and hat, and water bottle. (Safari vehicles do have ice chests and our driver provided bottled water.) What to wear: we were here the first week of November and the weather was perfect. I was most comfortable in shorts or capris, Teva type sandals, short sleeve shirt. I started the morning with a light long sleeve shirt that I could take off as the day warmed up. We did get out of the vehicle once to hike up a small observation hill. Here you will want your hat and sunglasses. There was a washroom here as well. We also stopped at one of the resorts to use the washroom as well as the airstrip. I brought a small roll of toilet paper just in case but all the restrooms had TP. Amboseli is a wonderful getaway from the hustle and bustle of life.

This park is very dry/dusty and far away from the rest of the normal parks (Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha). If you're lucky to see Kilimanjaro it is an amazing view. Plenty of elefants and other animals. Seeing the elefants move together is an amazing experience. Roads leading into the park are in very poor conditions.

Beautiful Safari, with mostly flat landscape and lakes. On good days, the snow capped Mt. Kilamanjaro is visible. The roads are quite bumpy. Lots of mammals and birds species. Bring the binoculars.

What a special National Park! So many beautiful animals coexisting here and on a clear day you can see Mt Kilimanjaro. Visited early/mid February 2026 and the park hadn’t seen rain in a while so it was very dry and dusty. My guide Jacob was fantastic and I had an incredible experience. The locals here know the animals behaviors and routines and with patience and fortune you’ll be rewarded with what Mother Nature delivers for you that day. There are four entrances and the main gate is coming from Kimana. Entrance is valid for 24 hours and the fee is only accepted via online or in person by credit card (make sure to bring a physical card and don’t rely on Apple Pay like me!) or m-pesa (I believe), they do not accept cash. Entrance fee is $90 USD, with taxes nearly totaling of $96-$99 USD. Stop by observation hill to get a 360 view. To see these amazing animals in their natural environment up close or from afar is truly a blessing and so special to see!
