From my experience as a freshman: You gotta attend your classes on time, do some hard work, and always respect the professors’ rules. It is a great college to be in, most of the students there are very welcoming, open-minded and polite. This college has so many events and ton of activities and also offers places to eat; AUK Diner, Starbucks, and Fat Olive restaurant. Then to top it all of there are some downs, parking is very limited so be there twenty minutes early, and this is the only college in Kuwait where calculators are prohibited.

The American University of Kuwait (AUK) is a private liberal arts institution located in Salmiya, Kuwait. Established in 2003 by Amiri Decree 139, AUK is affiliated with Dartmouth College and offers an education based on the American model of higher learning. The language of instruction is English. AUK offers a variety of undergraduate programs leading to bachelor’s degrees. The College of Arts and Sciences provides degrees such as: • Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Design • BA in Communication & Media • BA in English • BA in International Relations • BA in Social & Behavioral Sciences Additionally, the College of Business and Economics offers programs in business-related fields and has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) since 2019.

I visisted Auk today and Ms Nadia was with me the whole time and was very friendly and professional with her work , and told me everything about registration and many things . Thank you Nadia !

University needs to focus more on its education than raising fees, administrators should retrain and stop playing favourites. Additional focus should be given to alumni. Maybe they can try to be more like other universities and treat students as adults not an extension of school methods. Good luck

Some professors are not behaved they try to bully you as it happened in my first year and she was head of a subject called UNIV 100 and I changed my class because of her attitude. The university is great after all. But they don't know how to manage online classes or hybrid classes. And their IT team is always facing problems. Lately I noticed more professors don't even know how to use zoom or interactive board technology or have malfunction . Even some professors Complained multiple times about it but it seemed they were ignored. Other than that they tell you there is corona so there is no diner and we must adopt hybrid classes but you can gather all together in the middle of campus..... I'm trying to make sense out of all of this but I can't do anything about it. Right now I do believe we have lack of professors and I do noticed the education level is not what is used seemed to be like I first joined the university. Some professors enjoy bragging about their life more than teaching but they are rare. One last thing to add the university gets scholarships from the government and from individuals who pay to study and they own another school so with all the money they are making. They can't build multi layered parking for students and instead they ask us to come 30 min earlier because its 40 parking at most or even 80 which means if 3 classes starts at same time. Goodluck finding a parking. And it will never change

Being an Alumni from a long time ago, i would say this university is quite great. From students to faculty, AUK has been on the rise of increasing the majors they offer, keeping their standards high and also taking care of students in ways that is needed. Worst thing I recall from back in the day is the parking situation...disaster. Sadly, it is located in a crowded and tight location though a multi-story parking lot should be built already.

برغم الشهره والبيت الصيت الواسع لهذا الصرح العلمي إلا أن الموقع رديئ جدا ولا يتناسب وحجم ومكانه اسم له تاريخ وعلم يحتذى به نعتبره من أكبر دور العلم واقواها... برجاء اعاده النظر في الموقع لانه يفتقد آلى الهدوء والروحانيه المحفذه على تلقي المواد العلميه بتركيذ وانسجام يتوافق وروح العلم والنجاح للوصول إلى المثاليه في التحصيل والتدرج العلمي والتخرج بنخبه عملاقه ذات تحصيل وافر يتواكب ومجريات العصر الحديث السريع لتكون هي الكوكبه المؤهله لقياده المستقبل في مواجه الذكاء الاصطناعي ذو التطور الفائق السرعه والمذهل.

Good University, with good parking & good vibes. The staff are good, as this is a prestigious university. The campus layout is medium sized & cozy. There is more than enough facilities to accomplish the tasks you need. The students are generally happy & helpful.
