Ammonite Adventure : Manaslu Circuit Trek.

I booked the Mardi Himal Trek (5 days) and the Langtang Trek (8 days) with Ammonite Adventure, including a two-day rest break in Pokhara. Ram (my Guide) is a young, very open-minded, funny, and highly motivated guide. He has only been doing the job for a few years but has already gained a great deal of experience. His English is excellent. It was truly a joy to hike with him; everything was perfectly organized, and we spent many evenings together playing cards and having great conversations. Furthermore, he is extremely easy-going and always caters to his customers' wishes. I can recommend him warmly and without any reservations. Shankar (my Guide/Porter) is a few years older than Ram and accompanied me as a porter since he hadn't been on the Mardi Himal Trek before. He is an incredibly warm-hearted and motivated person; I don't think I've ever met someone so friendly and helpful. I will definitely miss him. He is more of a quiet type, yet still a fantastic conversationalist. He radiates a sense of calm that is very pleasant during strenuous hikes. As a guide, he has extensive experience in Langtang; thanks to him, the ascent to Kyanjin Ri was a breeze, and we reached the top much faster than everyone else who started with us. Both of them provided me with a wonderful experience on both treks. They are great individually and an even better team! Should I return to Nepal soon, I know exactly who I will contact first. Finally, a big thank you to Krishna from Ammonite Adventure. Before my trek, I spent three days speaking with various providers, comparing offers, and deciding which one suited me best. Krishna won me over—and deservedly so. His support was professional from start to finish, and he gave me excellent advice. Thank you to Ram, Shankar, and Krishna! We did a 10 day Langtang Valley and Gosainkunda trek which we booked through Krishna at Ammonite Adventure. We had an amazing time, Krishna helped us sort our stuff that we had to buy/ rent for the trek and was very helpful with any queries. The whole experience was amazing, would highly recommend. I met Krishna from Ammonite Adventure upon my arrival in Kathmandu, straight away he worked with me to organise an itinerary for my time in Nepal that worked for me, with the main activity being the trekking but also including a Kathmandu city tour and Chitwan National Park tour plus accommodation and transport. Krishna set me up with an excellent guide for trekking named Subedi Dai who I met in Pokhara for the trek, he has years worth of experience in tour guides, spoke great English and had plenty of interesting information for me about the local culture, religion, geography and cuisine, which made for a very fun and engaging experience. He was always more than happy to help out with a smile in translating, giving advice and clarifying anything else that I was unsure about or unfamiliar with. We just finished a 6-day Lang Tang Valley trek to reach Kangjing & Tserko Ri with our guide Dorje. He was very hospitable and walked alongside me throughout the downhill journey where I was struggling from severe pains from the feet. We changed our programme quite often and he was very accommodating. I couldn’t have finished this trek without him. I booked my trek with Ammonite Adventure, and Krishna made the whole planning process very smooth and easy. I then went on a 5-day trek with Ram in the Gosainkunda region and really appreciated his support. He always made sure I was safe on the trail and took care of all the logistics in the lodges. Even though his English is not perfect, he always tried his best to communicate and make the trek enjoyable. When Nepal went into lockdown and no buses were running, Ram quickly took action, coordinated with others, and arranged a private jeep so I could return to Kathmandu in time for my flight. Back in the city, he even gave me tips on where to buy souvenirs and later met up with me again to share a tea with his friends. Ram is a kind and reliable guide, and I’m grateful for the experience we shared together in the mountains.

Krishna is a great guy, the most hospitable person you’ll ever find in town. Kathmandu would have never be the same if it wasn’t for him. He organised a few tours, buses and activities for us. 100% recommended to anyone knew to Nepal or even if you know or been to Nepal, you can always come see him, he’ll be able to help you out with anything you may need.

I had a wonderful 3 and half days trek from Kathmandu to Nagarkot (Chisapani-Nagarkot Trek) with Suman. Even though I was trekking solo, I never felt alone because Suman is such a kind and thoughtful person. He made sure I was comfortable every step of the way and handled all the logistics perfectly. During a stay in Kathmandu, a friend and I were approached by Krishna from annomite adventures. Krishna’s professionalism and warm demeanour swayed us from a langtang trek, to a Manaslu guided trek. The process was seamless and affordable. Our guide, Rajendra made the memory unforgettable. Raj sported a smile that couldn’t be wiped the whole time, and was more than happy to accomodate for any of our needs. 10/10 would reccomend.

The 10 day Annapurna base camp trek was a magnificent experience, the team advised me that December was an ideal time to go for unobstructed views and relatively small crowds as it drew towards the close of the popular trekking season. If you wish to completely immerse yourself in nature and escape the city life as a physically fit person, this trek is perfect for you. My guide for this trek was Mr.Prakash (licensed guide for trekking and mountaineering), whom despite his young age has amassed over 10 years of experience in the industry already, and holds leadership roles within the region and advocates for workers rights in the industry. He has the kindest and funniest personality, someone who took the time to always ensure that you felt your best and had all your needs met during the trek, he truly goes above and beyond with his extensive knowledge. Personally I enjoy hiking quietly to enjoy the nature and Prakash made sure that I was able to do so. In contrast, whenever I felt like striking up a conversation, he's always ready for that as well with anecdotes from his previous experiences, and he's a great (professional) singer as well! He embodied the true Nepali spirit of kindness, and will 100% be the reason for a future return to the country! I can confidently say that Mr. Prakash Ghayal Rai whom I met as my guide is now my dear friend back in Nepal. I commend Ammonite for retaining the services of such a wonderful guide, and for the chance I got to do the trek with him. The hostel and hotel stays in Kathmandu and Pokhara respectfully, were welcoming and comfortable, as were the transportation (taking into account all factors in control). My thanks to Krishna and Ammonite for the prowess in organization.

From the moment I met Krishna to the moment we got back to Kathmandu, I felt in safe and knowledgeable hands with Ammonite Adventure. I originally had a specific trek in mind, but Krishna spent the time with me going over other options that he suggested might be even more beautiful for our desired time frame, and his suggestion of Langtang certainly did not disappoint. He was flexible with our departure and return dates and handled absolutely everything during our beautiful trek. But perhaps the highlight of the trek, aside from the views, was our amazing guide Rikesh. Not only was he incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and personable, he went above and beyond expectations every day of the trek. He know the locals, had an inside scoop on local culture and geography, and surprised us throughout the trip. He packed a full thermos of coffee for when we ascended Kyangjin Ri for sunrise at the peak of our trip and arranged for a photoshoot in traditional Tibetan dress for my wife and I after hearing her exclaim how beautiful their clothing was. Truly an amazing person who genuinely cared for us and he did an amazing job showing us just how beautiful both the Nepal geography and Nepalese people are. If you have the option, I would absolutely suggest you get Rikesh as your guide - it's difficult to fathom a better guide in Nepal! It's very likely that for research reasons I'll be back in Nepal next year, and if I am I won't hesitate trek with Rikesh and the other helpful folks at Ammonite Adventure again!

We are a truly thankful with our great experience that we had with Ammonite adventure. After our pleasant contact with Krishna and help with choosing a trek that suits our wishes, we started the trek: Langtang - Gosainkund -Helambu for 14days. Me, my girlfriend and my best friend decided to have a trekking to Langtang for seven days. We had an amazing experience and we manage to reach 5000 meters thanks to the best guide you can find in Kathmandu: Dorje! He helped us to reach the pick and was so fun to spend all these days together! If you want to go anywhere on the Himalayan mountains ask foe Dorje. He will guide you to the best places! My partner and I just completed Langtang trek with Bishal from Ammonite adventures. Krishna who organised the trek was very helpful and professional. He wrote us a clear list of things we needed to get before the trek and matched us well with Bishal, our guide. Bishal is a very professional and knowledgeable guide who makes you feel at ease and safe at all times. It´s our first time in beautiful Nepal and we ran into Krishna at our accomondation. He seems to be a smart businessman, but very friendly and made a costumized hikingplan for us. Our guide, Bishal, was/is the most friendly guy we met in Nepal and probably on our 3-month journey. He was so helpfull and made our hiking trip unforgettable. Also his english skills are very good and he knows a lot of stuff about the nepalese culture as well. We tasted excellent traditionel food from many friendly local people and felt everywhere welcommed. Even if i am not an experienced hiker, I loved every second on this trip and couldn´t ask for a better guide. If you book a hiking or trek tour, ask for Bishal, you will not be disappointed :)

Krishna handles his business very professionally. He’s able to answer all your questions and create a made to measure trekking experience of your liking. I did the Tamang Heritage Trail (which I highly recommend!) and the Langtang Valley Trek together with guide Santa. He was made this trek into a wonderful experience. Being from the region himself he knew a lot and next to that he’s also a very warm and funny guy. All in all I had the best time trekking with Ammonite Adventures.

I recently completed a 10‑day trek with Ammonite Adventure in Nepal, and overall it was an unforgettable experience. If I had one criticism, it’s that on one section, the trail markings were confusing and our guide had to double back to confirm the right path. But that’s a minor issue in a remote mountainous region.
