Antique Inn - Nizwa

My favourite stay in Oman yet! This hotel is beautiful! Set in the old town of Nizwa, surrounded by beautiful buildings and culture. The room itself is ok, the room is probably the worst part of the hotel, but you don’t spend a lot of time in it. The bed is ok, the shower is ok, it’s big enough, there is not a lot of natural light as the windows are small. But the grounds, the pool and the staff are amazing. They help you with your bags, there’s ample parking as well. The pool is lovely, very clean and nice environment to relax in. There is also a gentleman that goes round and makes fresh juices for a reasonable fee. The breakfast is good. Tea, coffee, water & juice. Different varieties of bread, hummus, sausage, salad, cheese, fruit, cake and crepes! Very good You are very close to the main attractions. Nizwa comes alive at night time, so you are right amongst it. The Fort is 5 minute walk away, and the Souq, Goat and Date market are about 5 minutes away as well.

Top Lage. Schöner warmer Pool. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Tolle Produkte z.B Pide beim Frühstück. Großer Parkplatz für die recht enge Altstadt vorhanden. Leider ein großes Minus waren die Zimmer. Die Erste Nacht waren wir in einem Zimmer im Haupthaus untergebracht, direkt unter dem Restaurant und Frühstücksbereich und angrenzend an eine Gasse zur Altstadt. Baulich bedingt keinerlei Schallschutz, kurze Nacht also für uns. Umzug in ein anderes Zimmer war am nächsten Tag kein Problem! Dann im neueren Nebengebäude. Leider hier ebenfalls Lärm. Klimaanlage war sehr laut durch ein scheppern, ebenso wie ein in der direkten Nachbarschaft lebender Hahn der ab 02:45Uhr durchgehend krähte. Stellte man die Klimaanlage aufgrund des schepperns aus wurde es natürlich sehr heiss im Zimmer weil die Gebäude witterungsbedingt sehr aufgeheizt logischerweise sind.Die Erholung des nächtlichen Schlafens war also leider an allen 3 Tagen nicht möglich.

Sehr schönes Hotel, mit einer tollen Lagen, schön dekorierten Zimmern. Perfekt für einen Aufenthalt in Nizwa. Personal war sehr freundlich, wie eigentlich überall im Oman. Lediglich das Frühstück war hier jetzt nicht so üppig. Der Pool ist ausreichend groß. Wir würden das Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen, da alles zu Fuß erreichbar ist und Parkplätze im Hotel vorhanden sind.

Natürlich ein toller Flair, aber leider irgendwie nicht wirklich zimmertechnisch durchdacht: keine Nachttischlampen, lauter Kühlschrank, keine vernünftigen Türen. Insgesamt sehr sehr laut, man hört nur Menschen, Generatoren und Klimaanlagen. Bett war durchgelegen und das Bad ist leider abgewohnt und wirkt alt, zudem müffelt es etwas. Preis-Leistung passt hier leider gar nicht. Keine Erholung möglich! Ich würde es nicht wiederkommen.

I have mixed feelings about the Antique Inn. The concept is great, love the decor and the location cant be beat. The breakfast is decent and varied and located on an upper floor with a view. The bed was comfortable and the room decent for a small one. My two issues were first the cockroach infestation in my room. Crawling across the floor, up the walls beside the bed and also the red ants. Second issue was male staff entering my room at 10:20pm one night to check my bathroom drain. Not appropriate for male only staff to enter the room of a solo female traveller. At the rear of the hotel there is a lovely garden space with nice places to sit and relax. The pool is such a bonus after a day of exploring.

Der Service & Standort sind super. Kostenlose Parkplätze. Die Zimmer und das Hotel sehr authentisch omanisch. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist leider wirklich nichts besonderes und die Schlafzimmerkissen sind so dick, man bekommt Nackenschmerzen. Das Bett in Zimmer 102 war schon recht eingelegen, aber immer noch in Ordnung. Die Kleinigkeiten könnte man verbessern, dann sind es 5 Sterne.

In my opinion the hotel is ok for 1 night. We a double room at the pool area, which was supposed to be of higher quality. The room was big, but there were a lof of mosquitos, the room smelled not good, the bed was ok, the pillows not comfortable, the bathrooms not clean, hair from former guests in the shower and toilette, the towels smelled, no shower curtains, after a shower everything is wet. The breakfast was ok, but I didn't like the plastic plates and cups and paper cups for the coffee and tea. The staff is very nice and helpful. All in all the hotel needs a renovation. It's located in the middle of the old town, close to the Souk and fort which is great. And they have a big parking area at the hotel.

Das Hotel liegt nahe dem Fort (1 Gehminute entfernt) im Zentrum. Der Zimmeranbieter stellt ein Video über WhatsApp zu Verfügung, das das Finden des Hotels einfach macht. Mit Google Maps kommt man an seine Grenzen. Unser Zimmer am Pool war alt, desolat, schlecht gereinigt und die Armaturen im Badezimmer waren stark verkalkt, weshalb sie auch nur schlecht funktionierten. Das Frühstück ist mäßig, weshalb auch das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis nicht passt. Nur die Lage allein rechtfertigt diesen Preis nicht.

Emplacement bien situé,parking privé mais par contre les chambre aucun confort, remonté d'odeur des égouts dans la salle de bain, matelas pas confortable, pas spacieuse,le petit déjeuner très simple on ne propose pas d'omelette. J'ai du descendre moi même mes valise par un escalier très étroit et très dangereux..

L'emplacement idéal. Le reste mitigé mzis pour une nuit ok.. Salle de bain très vétusté, manque de serviettes pour les mains. Parking à côté

Wij verbleven in kamer 102 een ruime kamer met een appart zitje. Badkamer is klein waar door alles wat nat werd maar gewoon prima (goede stort douche) wel waren de kussens op het bed vol bobbels maar kregen per direct 2 andere kussens. Er is een verwarm zwembad die ook lekker diep is. Locatie is echt TOP.

Top Lage zentral in der Altstadt, kleiner angenehmer Pool. Die historischen Gebäudeteile wurden sehr schön renoviert. Die Poolbunglows sind einfach gehalten und verfügen über eine Klimaanlage. TV funktioniert nicht wirklich ohne Verbindung bzw. mit ziemlich knapoem wi-fi-Empfang. Die Toiletten mit eingebauter Dusche erfüllen ihren Zweck. Kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Vom Buffet gibts eine gute Auswahl an Speisen am Morgen und Abend zu fairen Preisen.

Nel pieno centro di Nizwa, si trova questa affascinante dimora storica sapientemente ristrutturata e adibita ad hotel. Dalle camere alle zone comuni, sembra di vivere un’esperienza da mille e una notte. Molto suggestiva anche la piscina, incastonata tra le rovine della parte antica della città. Bella e panoramica la terrazza con vista città. Essendo in pieno centro, tutte le attrazioni di Nizwa sono raggiungibili a piedi. Comodo anche il parcheggio in loco Posto perfetto per chi vuole vivere un’esperienza a 360 gradi nell’affascinante Nizwa.

Perfekt gelegenes, sehr schön altmodisch eingerichtetes Hotel. Alle Leute sehr zuvorkommend. Man kann dort Ausflüge buchen Frühstück sowie Abendessen sehr leckeres Buffet

المكان حلو في وسط السوق. بس الصعود للغرف بدون مصعد فيه درج ضيق يعني ما ينفع لكبار السن . الغرفه مافيها تلفون ومافيها تلفزيون. الحمام منفصل عن الغرفه. الحمام برع الغرفه لازم تطلع برع في الممر

Van alle locaties in Oman waar we zijn geweest was dit het minst. In eerste instantie ziet de locatie er mooi uit met een ideale ligging in het centrum van Nizwa. Maar de kamers waren niet zo. Badkamer was slecht en ontbijt stelde niets voor. Niswa als stadje was wel leuk.

Super zentral gelegenes und renoviertes Guesthouse. Traditionell gemütlich eingerichtete Zimmer - die ganze Unterkunft versprüht orientalisches Flair 😊 die Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend und extrem hilfsbereit.

Autenthiek hotel. Je waant je werkelijk wel een tijdje terug. Kamers zijn klein, maar wel leuk ingericht. Locatie is prima gelegen om een uitstapje in de stad te maken. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Voor 2 nachten zeker goed te doen. Zwembad is een plus.

Better than I expected. Stayed here with two friends for one night to explore Nizwa. Rooms at the pool were absolutely fine and clean. Breakfast was a very good Arabic breakfast - I had much worse in Oman. Personnel helpful and friendly. I can recommend the hotel without reservations.

Sehr schönes Hotel in einem renovierten Altstadthaus in der Nähe von Forts und des Souq. Der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren gemütlich und komfortabel ausgestattet. Mahlzeiten finden auf der schönen Dachterrasse statt mit Blick über Nizwa. Absolut empfehlenswert als Basis zur Erkundung von Nizwas Altstadt.
