I visited Appa Kadai Tamil in naif road, Tamil baxar yesterday, and it was a really good experience. They serve authentic South Indian food and have been around for more than 65 years! Fridays can get very crowded, especially during lunch and dinner, so plan accordingly.
We tried several dishes:
• Ghee Roast – 5/5: Personally my favorite, perfectly crispy and flavorful, a must-try.
• Parotta with kurma – 4/5: Soft, flaky, and delicious. The kurma was very worth it and complemented the parotta perfectly.
• Deer Chukka – 4.5/5: A first-time experience for me, very tasty but a bit pricey.
• Chicken Fried Rice – 3/5: Okay, not as impressive as the rest.
• Ginger Tea – 4.5/5: Excellent and refreshing.
Everything else is very affordable, making it a great spot for authentic Tamil food without breaking the bank. They also serve Rosemilk, Ragi Appam, biryani for lunch, and specials like Aatkal Paya and prawns for dinner, so there’s plenty to explore.
If you’re a tourist in Dubai, this place is a must-try it will make you feel like you’re at home.
Overall, highly recommended for authentic, tasty, and affordable South Indian food in Dubai!
