I live near Zion and Arches is totally different! I went to Arches in February and it was the perfect time. There were no crowds and the weather was perfect (upper 50s/lower 60s). The park is very spread out, so I recommend spending a few hours on multiple days visiting the different arches. Sometimes, you even have to hike several miles to visit sites. There are no places to eat inside the park, so bring a picnic or head into Moab. The Delicate Arch hike is all uphill for almost 2 miles, so be prepared. The last quarter mile is on a 4' wide path carved out of the mountainside. Small kids should definitely hold your hand. It's a little sketchy. The Arch itself is on the edge of the mountain as well. Shoes with good traction are a must! Mother Nature is amazing!

Arches National Park is absolutely breathtaking and feels like walking on another planet. The rock formations are massive, unique, and perfectly shaped by nature over millions of years. We loved visiting the Windows Section and seeing Delicate Arch from the viewpoint. The scenic drive itself is worth the visit with stunning desert landscapes at every turn. The park is well maintained and easy to navigate. Early morning light makes the red rocks glow beautifully. Every stop offers a different perspective and photo opportunity. It’s definitely one of the highlights of our Utah road trip and a must visit destination.

Arches National Park was absolutely stunning—such a beautiful and unforgettable experience. I was amazed the entire time. The landscapes and rock formations are truly incredible, and no words or pictures can fully capture how special it feels to be there. I highly recommend coming for sunrise or sunset. Not only is the lighting the most beautiful at those times, but it’s also much less crowded, and in the early morning it almost feels like you have the place to yourself.

My favorite national park that I have visited so far, It was awe inspiring. Beyond the natural features, it was also one of the best kept parks I have seen, the exhibit was amazing, and all the park rangers were super nice. Oh, and the ravens will full on pose for pictures. Can't wait to go back!

I've lived in Utah for a lot of my life, but this is the first time I've really explored Arches. 10/10. It was 50 degrees on the days I was there which honestly was great. I cannot imagine hiking on the hot rocks in the summer. It was warm enough that but the time I was actually hiking, I pulled off my jacket. Anyway. It was gorgeous. I loved it.

Wow! The diversity of the trails has something for everyone at all ability levels. The hikes right off the parking lots are perfect for people with limited mobility. If there is ice and snow- wear spikes and bring hiking poles. If you have limited time, hike Delicate Arch at sunset or sunrise because the light changes highlight the beauty of the red sandstone. Bring a flashlight/head lamp for the night hikes- it gets dark, but it is an amazing experience hiking with the stars! The Devils Garden hike with the primitive loop is unique because it highlighs the incredible scale of the rock formations and you become submerged within the structures. Bring a snack, lots of water, start early, and be ready to climb. I would not recommend doing the hike with ice or snow.

The good: the national park itself is a gorgeous topography variation and there is something to see for everybody: it is a truly remarkable place but safety should always be a top priority; regardless of season. The Bad: paying $250 USD for a national park pass as a Canadian is ridiculous! The Ugly: My wife and I hiked the Devils Garden Trail and what started out as a normal day turned into a death defying experience. The ledge section we were on had very high wind after the Navajo/Partition Arch headed towards Double O Arch. Incoming inclement weather that could not be seen from lower sections of the trail; and the slick rock went from difficult to extreme even if you come prepared with ice cleats! I filed an official complaint/comment/suggestion to the visitor renter about this trail. #1 the steep slick rock incline requires chains in case unforeseen inclement weather rolls through. It will not take away from the hiking experience whatsoever and would greatly benefit hiker safety. #2 A severe weather warning system is a must as some sections of the park cannot see a vantage point of the sky; in my instance, I was forced to hike through graupel, hail, snow/thunderstorm with close range bolt lightning strikes in January! #2b On top of a weather warning system, install webcams with vantage points of sky perspectives. #3 warn hikers about narrows and the possibility of getting trapped on Devils Garden Trail as I did get wedged between two rocks in a crevice that was rapidly filling with snow; and was fortunate enough to be extracted by a hiker that I happened to meet on the trail and hiked back down with. The main trail rock was so icy/slippery it was next to impossible to venture back down (see #1 as a chain section) #4 the roads were completely unmaintained driving back down to park entrance, they were treacherous; if you happen to be driving a rental vehicle make sure winter tires are on or brand new all-season and ensure brakes are in perfect working order as there are no guardrails to save you on multiple steep gradients. Road conditions, including parking lots of trails the following day were still less than optimal. I have yet to hear back from the Arches National Park supervisor regarding my valuable comments and suggestions.

LOVED IT!! Please do yourself a favor and bring proper footwear. There were some slick rocks and in some places it could be icy depending on the season. So many beautiful places and formations to see. It's just so interesting how some rocks stood up to erosion and formed these arches and strange finger like vertical shapes. The views of the surrounding country and snow covered mountains in the distance. I mean beautiful. I have been lucky enough to see some really gorgeous places - this ranks among the highest ones.

Scenery is absolutely stunning. Absolutely stunning. If you haven't been here, you need to go. The way these rock formations erode and form over time is absolutely fascinating. I wouldn't rate it the full 5 because it is EXTREMELY hot. Extremely. However, a must visit.

Klare Empfehlung. 🌄

Arches in the snow... what could be better!! Highly recommend spending 4-6 hours in this park minimum, but aim for a full day or 2-3 half days to see it all. We saw a lot in the 4 hours we had using Shaka Guide, which I also highly recommend!

Probably one of the most beautiful and historic places I've been. Seeing the arches themselves really makes you feel small in a way. Millions and millions of years have gone by and this is what they've left of the rock. Incredible and humbling. You really get a sense of how short our life spans all are. Will they still be here in a hundred years? A thousand? Who knows. Highly recommend going as deep as you can into the park, but you should also really do a multi day trip for this. Too much to take in at once. Visit the sand arches! The silence is golden.

Arches National Park is very well maintained national park with helpful park rangers and wonderful activities. Trails are of various difficulty levels. Do carry water bottles during any season. The arches are so beautiful.

One of my favorite national parks! We live in Georgia and have been here 3x in the last 5 years. While it’s a popular park, we like it because everything is spread out so there’s plenty of room for everyone! You might have to circle around devils garden loop a few times to find parking, but then you will and you’ll be glad you did. Our favorite is watching sunset from the north window arch! We’ve done this every time we’ve come and it’s never disappointed. We also have three young kiddos, and love that it’s so kid friendly! From lots of sand spots at the end of some arches (pine tree arch and sand dunes arch) to lots of rock climbing that’s relatively safe and again, spacious paths for people to walk. We’ve been to other national parks and it’s not always the case so we appreciate that about this park! It’s a forever favorite and you really can’t go wrong with any of the hikes or views. Definitely bring water and food in, as the only water fill up spots (that I know of) are the visitors center and then devils garden loop. No where to buy food in the park that I know of! Overall, it’s a special and favorite place and highly recommend coming to visit! 🧡🏜️

Arches is absolutely breathtaking. The rock formations feel almost unreal, especially at sunrise and sunset when the colors really come alive. The hikes are well marked and accessible, with plenty of viewpoints that don’t require long treks. Delicate Arch alone is worth the visit, but every stop feels unique. It’s peaceful, awe-inspiring, and a reminder of how powerful nature can be. A must-see if you’re anywhere near Utah

Arches national park is one of the best of the best. The Utah state is blessed to have so many beautiful attraction. We used our son’s fourth grade pass for a free entry. We spent around a day driving and visiting the arches but did not have the time for the hikes. We saw delicate arch, sand dune arch, landscape arch, skyline arch, balancing rock, petrified sand dunes, fiery canyon, devils garden etc. one could do plenty of hikes if you have the time. Do plan well before you arrive. Since we came in winter, we did not have the timed entry requirements.
