After a turbulent flight from Muscat to Tehran, my colleague Abdulrahman and I arrived safely at the international airport. We were very friendly received by Ahmed (translator) and Sajad (cameraman).
On the way to the Espinas International Hotel we were able to familiarize ourselves with the rather hectic, uncontrolled traffic in the city.
BTW: A perfect hotel for international business travellers too!
On Monday, June 16, 2019, I was picked up by Ahmed and the cameraman early in the morning and drove straight to the Saee Clinic in northern Tehran.
After the positive blood test and a brief discussion on the form of the hair transplant,
I was prepared for the operation. I had a very good feeling with my very experienced specialist from the first moment. The local anesthetic syringes were a bit uncomfortable at the beginning. After halftime, I could enjoy a fine meal with chicken and saffron rice, as I could only take a light breakfast.
At around 6.30 pm, the seven-hour procedure was over. On the way back to the hotel, I was made familiar with the necessary medication and care in the first few days. The next day we put in a rest day.
On Wednesday we visited the management and the care team of the Aria MedTour. The reception in their office in the north of Tehran was very professional and warm. I finally had the chance to meet with Kaveh who was the first point of contact. He managed the entire visa-, administration- and information processes very professionally indeed.
Since no creditcards are accepted in Iran, I could settle the agreed amount in US Dollars on the second day. For the beautiful, handmade gifts from Iran we would like to thank you once again.
Since I am not camera-shy, I obviously had fun documenting my experiences with the hair transplantation as well as very positive impressions of Tehran during the video recordings.
In the evening Fatima and Sajad took us through the old market and the unique mosque in Tehran. The joint dinner with local kebab specialties was excellent. We enjoyed a wonderful evening and were very well looked after by the team.
On the 4th day, Abdulrahman and I went for a short stroll around town to stock up on some souvenirs. At the agreed time we were picked up at the hotel for transfer to the airport. We thanked Ahmed and Sajad for the excellent and nice care during the whole stay in Iran.
Strong smokers will not have it easy to do without cigarettes altogether after surgery.
I tried to restrict smoking. This delicate topic is also discussed very controversially on an international level. But experts point out that smoking does not have a direct impact on the success of a hair transplantation but could negatively impact the wound healing process. Stress with the smoking stop could certainly have negative effects.
In conclusion, I would like to say that I will never regret a short-term decision to fly from Switzerland to Tehran and undergo a hair transplantation lasting several hours in an excellent clinic.
Aria MedTour and the care team have done an excellent job before and during their stay in Iran.
It is desirable if travellers with visa authorization are properly briefed at the airport in Tehran to be able to provide the proof of insurance and the payment of visa fees in the right place. If you are referred to the immigration authorities after queuing to another location, that is not so pleasant.
Important documents such as the 9-months free post-treatment guarantee for unsuccessful hair transplantation should be in English.
It would be desirable if every future customer on arrival in Tehran in the hotel could get a nanuak with table of contents in which all relevant important information such as care and contract agreements are unequivocally documented in English.
Aria MedTour is a professional business partner in the field of cosmetic surgery and hair transplantation. I will definitely recommend Aria MedTour to my international network.
