Yesterday afternoon, we were guests at Atashkadeh Kandovan. Luckily for us, a beautiful snowfall had covered the area, creating a memorable experience for everyone who was there. Moving on to the food: we tried the ash reshteh, fried potatoes, mirza ghasemi, and omelet. The most appealing option was definitely the omelet, which we ended up ordering for a second time. Served with freshly baked lavash bread made on-site, it created a truly lasting and pleasant flavor. The ash reshteh was acceptable. I asked for extra onions, which they provided. I didn’t really enjoy the flavor of the mirza ghasemi, though it wasn’t bad either. The potatoes were slightly cold and had the feeling of being cooked in large batches and kept warm for a while. The service, however, was strange. For a place of this size, with such high revenue and long history, it was surprising to see staff get into a discussion with customers over the price of two bowls of ash, then charge for it in the next order and say, “You took extra bowls.” It is expected that as establishments grow older, larger, and expand their number of branches, the level of service and professionalism should improve as well.
