Memorial and Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau

Was a somber experience being in a place of death and torture, especially for my family members who endured this egregiously harsh and inhumane reality during WWII. We were never told to purchase tickets in advance so the museum was booked solid when we drove 3.5 hours from Warsaw to visit. The new Israeli owners, as crazy as it seems, have made it more difficult to gain entry with a walk in. We are able to observe the outskirts which was just as surreal and contained some valuable informative sights to see.

6時間のポーランド語のツアーしか空いておらず予約するも、当日何の手違い可3時間英語のツアーに入れました。人として一度は行っておいてよかったです。

Qui ti chiedono di mettere le stelle sul gradimento.... Come può essere bello un posto del genere? 5 stelle alla memoria....perché questi luoghi siano da monito per le generazioni future!!!....ci eravamo già stati anni fa ed era gratuito...ora si entra al campo solo accompagnati da una guida a pagamento!....giusto? Sbagliato? È diventato un bel business per i polacchi!!

It's worth going here to get some understanding of the scale and suffering that Jews and others had handed out by the Nazis during their time in power. Walking around the camp just shows what man can do to fellow man. The suffering and death on an industrial scale. The museum does well to preserve the past so we don't forget. There is a lot of walking involved so plan ahead especially if you take a guided tour as they move quickly but do give you lots of information about the camp and the people who went through the gates, many for the last time.

Un lugar para recordar y conmemorar a las personas que pasaron por este lugar. En el país donde nací y vivo (México) aun hay campos de estos. Me causó incomodidad la gente que iba bien feliz tomándose selfies como si fuera un parque de diversiones. Gracias esta experiencia.

Incredibly somber and emotional experience. Seeing the scale of what happened here is overwhelming. We visited on a nice sunny day, but I couldn’t help but feel what the conditions must have felt like for those held within the camp during the harsh polish winters. A must see for anyone to remind us of what happened and try to ensure it can never happen again.

A huge museum, which is being restored to this day and is still being preserved. Book the tour in advance because you can get alone and for free only after 15:00. We got a very nice girl guide, it was very interesting and pleasant to listen to. We visited both camps, the total tour took about 4 hours. This place is very atmospheric, creepy. It is obligatory for everyone to visit, you need to know and not forget the history so that there are no more such things.

Powerful to say the least! This was part of my bucket list of places to visit and WOW it did not disappoint. Moving does not do this place justice, understanding what the Jews, gypsies and other minorities went through during the Second World War, you can watch as many documentaries as you like but actually walking in their footsteps really does bring it home…..Unforgettable

Ο χρόνος επίσκεψης, λόγω τεράστιου αριθμού επισκεπτών, είναι πολύ περιορισμένος. Ο τρόπος παρουσίασης των εκθεμάτων επιδέχεται πολλής βελτίωσης. Αναμφίβολα όμως είναι ένας από τους σημαντικότερους προορισμούς για όποιον επισκέπτεται την Πολωνία!

Probably one of the most badly organised tourist destinations in the world ! Always wanted to visit but was very disappointed, the complete cluster fxxk of the main entry, the inability to secure private tickets in advance via a official site, this resulted in almost 45 min to wait in a outdoor line until we could get to the ticket office and then another 2 hour wait until our time slot to actually get through the gate. I'd gladly pay €5-10 for advance tickets if I could get a guaranteed time to get in when I arrive. Once in there was no real flow or direction of what to see or what order to see it in. The official map was about as much use as sand in a desert, honestly a 5 year old could have drawn a better plan. Inside large tour groups dominated all the various things to see and we were often barged out of the way or unable to pass them while they blocked doors or things to see. My impression of the place has been ruined by visiting it and then when coming out, they don't even have clear signage where to get public transport back or a covered bus stop. The urban planner / architect who designed the new entrance and coach part obviously never tried visiting as a tourist.

Стоимость с гидом польскоговорящим 75 зл. После 16:00 можно войти бесплатно но без гида. Хорошо что сделали возможность бесплатного посещения музея. Людей вроде было много в будний день но они быстро заходят большими группами по 30 человек.

Тяжке місце, але варто його відвідати. Біль та страждання людей про які неможливо забути. -Білети купували на сайті заздалегідь; -з паркуванням проблем не було. Місця достатньо; -на вході суворий огляд та охрона попросила показати документи; -екскурсії українською немає, тому ми отримали ознаку (на фото) від которої почули розпач та сором; -навушники; -екскурсовод розповідає лише сухі факти, які можна отримати з інтернету; -по експозиції довелося рухатися дуже швидко; -не вистачило часу щоб добре оглянути магазин з книжками у Біркенау. Купили по обкладинці. -дітей краще не брати. Навіть не наполягала своєму 16-річному і то добре. Цей досвід для витривалих. Першу екскурсію варто брати з екскурсоводом, щоб знати що і де, а наступного разу поїдемо у своєму темпі

To jest miejsce, które wymaga, dopomina się od nas pamięci. Wiem, że nie każdy tam pojedzie, ale komu się uda niech spróbuje idąc przez obóz, miejsca, w których ludzie wychodzili z pociągów do innej dla nich rzeczywistości zwizualizować sobie to ich oczami. Usłyszcie to i zobaczcie. To nigdy więcej nie może wrócić. Skłońcie głowę przed wejściem dla uczczenia ich cierpień.

Bardzo ciekawe miejsce posiadające wstrząsającą historię. Warte odwiedzenia i poznania jak to wyglądało. Polecam przyjechać ok. 20 minut wcześniej, aby na spokojnie przejść kontrolę bezpieczeństwa. (jeżeli posiada się bilety zakupione on-line, jeżeli nie to lepiej przyjechać jeszcze wcześniej, ze względu na duże zainteresowanie tym miejscem)

Це місце дбайливо оберігають, хороша організація екскурсії від входу до виходу.. але дуже важка енергетика по всій території, усі 3,5 години.. Велика подяка тим, хто зберігає історію і доносе її до нових поколінь..

Wenn man sich entschieden hat diesen geschichtsträchtigen Ort anzuschauen, sollte man am besten eine geführte Tour buchen. Die Tour vermittelt dir viele wichtige Informationen und Hintergrundfakten. Außerdem bucht man mit der Tour den "Fast Entry" und umgeht die Warteschlange. Das Museum ist gut aufgearbeitet und recht original belassen und man bekommt einen guten Eindruck was sich hier abgespielt hat. Für Parkplätze ist gegenüber dem Museum ausreichend Platz. Für eine kleine Gebühr kann man sein Auto hier abstellen. Der Besuch des Museums hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt ist ist immer eine Reise wert.

Всем рекомендую взять гида, так как надписи экспозиции только на польском и английском. За время с экскурсоводом мы успели посмотреть не только самое основное, но и услышать истории людей, переживших плен. Эмоциями делиться не буду, скажу только, что каждую минуту хотелось креститься.. неприведи Господь! Именно тут можно каждой своей клеточкой прочувствовать, что жизнь свою надо ценить, и жить радуясь и благодаря!

Es ist sehr eindrücklich, was dort geschehen ist. Jeder sollte sich das Grauen dort ansehen und im Gedächtnis behalten. Was mir leider aufgefallen ist, es wurde sehr komerzialisiert. Nur Gruppen werden durchgeführt. Der Eintrittspreis ist m.E. sehr hoch. Als Einzelner sich etwas besonders zu betrachten, innehalten, vielleicht ein Gebet für die Opfer zu sprechen, ist nicht möglich. Trotzdem sollte man dorthin fahren, um nicht zu vergessen. Es darf sich nicht wiederholen!
