This has to be one of the best National Parks in the USA! Absolutely gorgeous and stunning views all over the park. Great wildlife in this National Park and very easy access to get around. Went later in afternoon and early morning and both great times. Wildlife at dusk was very good with Bison all around and Big Horn Sheep. I would say best time to go is around sunset. Just absolutely stunning views and that is one of those things have to see it to understand it!!!

The badlands is a beautiful place. It reminds me of the Grand Canyon in places. There are a few roads going through, and multiple trails. Rattlesnakes and some what common, so staying on the trails is advisable, but just be careful. You can climb rock, but be careful, its like gravel and things tumble and you can slip easily. The badlands are a beautiful place and you should definitely visit at least once in your life!

Badlands National Park is one of the most breathtaking places I have ever visited. Pictures simply do not do justice to the incredible beauty of this unique landscape. The dramatic rock formations, colorful layers of cliffs, deep canyons, and vast open prairies create views that seem almost otherworldly. We spent several hours driving through the park and stopping at the many scenic overlooks. Every viewpoint offered a different perspective and was more impressive than the last. The roads were well maintained, and it was easy to access the major attractions throughout the park. One of the highlights of our visit was seeing wildlife in their natural habitat. We were lucky enough to spot bison, prairie dogs, and bighorn sheep, which made the experience even more memorable. The visitor facilities were clean, and the park staff was friendly and helpful. If you enjoy photography, nature, hiking, or simply taking in spectacular scenery, Badlands National Park is a must-see destination. The sunsets are absolutely stunning, with the changing light bringing out incredible colors in the rock formations. This park exceeded all of our expectations and became one of the favorite stops on our South Dakota trip. Whether you’re traveling with family, friends, or on a solo adventure, Badlands National Park is worth every minute. I highly recommend adding it to your travel bucket list. We will definitely be returning on a future trip!

As a part of my Sperm Donation World Tour of the USA Leaving Sioux Falls to Rapid City there are many stops along the way to sightsee and this was on the top of my agenda for today. I Did a couple of the overlooks and the Notch trail with the ladder which was cool fun. This park has many other trails and pull over spots. A cool unique place to check out if in South Dakota.

We stayed here for one night during our RV road trip, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and the peaceful, nature-filled atmosphere makes it a perfect stop. The sunset and sunrise were especially breathtaking. The area is well-maintained and very suitable for RV camping. We originally planned just a short stay, but honestly wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended for anyone traveling with an RV and looking to enjoy beautiful nature!

Super neat park! Unlike anything else I've seen. We went the end of May and it was already in the 90's and hott! The loop was neat and we hiked the short door trail.

Like every NP that we've visited, this one is just as awesome. Amazing scenery and wildlife preservation! We did the Prairie Dog Town and on the way we saw bison up front. The overlooks had outstanding views. The Cliff Trail was our favorite and we saw a large deer resting in a shady spot. The visitor center was packed which was great to see. Multiple bathrooms and trash/recycling bins were available. Just another top notch display of nature preservation by the NP staff.

This was amazing and a super chill National Park. The loop road that navigates you through the park is very wide and easy to travel. We were in a class C motorhome and had zero issues. Everything is well-marked. There are many viewpoints to stop and get out of your vehicle. We had no problem finding a spot for the RV when we stopped. We hiked the Door trail. Again, well- marked and a lovely walk. You could spend as little or as long as you desire here. The contrasting landscapes of desolate rock and green plains are beautiful. We were there in early June with a nice breeze. I might not want to do this in later summer. 🤣

My favorite National Park! Trails and waysides have improved a lot! Visitor Center is still small and it does get heavy traffic in the summer, so just be prepared if you don’t like crowds.

This was one of the most beautiful spots of the country. It was like a small Grand Canyon. The clouds created the most dramatic ripples of shadows. The colors changed based on the sunlight. The formations looked fragile and otherworldly. The vistas and canyons were vast. The park itself was easy to navigate, following the rim of the canyon where there were many stop points. It can be confusing to find the entrance as GPS might take you a different route. The visitor's center has a nice display of the history and geology. The whole experience, for us, was around three hours. Of course, if we went on trails, it could be much longer. It's a must-see if you're in the area of Mount Rushmore.

This is breathtakingly beautiful!Visited on one of the windiest days which meant it was difficult to open the car door, or even stay upright outside. And the sand being blown into my eyes didn’t help, but the views were just brilliant. Nature is awesome! Highly recommend!

Just beautiful! My sisters and I stayed in the Cedar Pass Cabins for one night and saw so much wildlife. The lookouts and hiking were great and trails are well marked. We were there off season, so there were no crowds and parking was easy.

It was a chilly day but I went hiking anyway. Very cool trails to hike and they had bathrooms and plenty of parking. I hiked for hours. You can also drive around the whole park to see if you're to lazy to hike.

Took the loop from Wall SD. Such a great drive along the loop. The scenary is just awesome. Weather was great and due to govt shutdown didnt have to pay entrance fee. Did not see much wildlife except prairie dogs and deer but did see a rattlesnake on the road. Very cool. A must see attraction if you are driving along i90. Dont miss it. Took us 1.5 hrs with all the driving and stopping for pics. There are many stops for picture taking.

Badlands National Park felt like stepping onto the surface of Mars. The colorful layers of rock and jagged spires are unlike anything I've ever seen. We stayed for sunset at Pinnacles Overlook, and the way the light hit the peaks was absolutely breathtaking. We were blown away by how much wildlife we saw just from the Badlands Loop Road. We got stuck in a 'bison jam' and spotted bighorn sheep perched right on the cliffs. The absolute highlight for my kids was Roberts Prairie Dog Town—watching hundreds of them pop in and out of their burrows was adorable! It’s a must-see if you want to feel completely immersed in nature.

Sehr beeindruckend, einige Bison Sichtungen und Begegnungen. Atemberaubend, skurrile Gesteinsformationen. Wanderung ist zu Empfehlen. Sonnenuntergang ist traumhaft.

Very beautiful park with other worldly feeling. Well maintained trails and restrooms through the park. I wish the Fossile Lab was open year round, but the Visitor Center was very informative and had friendly staff. There's lots of picnic areas with plenty of magical views.
