Bait Al Zubair Museum

オマーンやマスカットの成り立ち、オマーンの人々の暮らしの変遷などを全容を具体的に理解できる博物館でした。入場料が高いのが難点ですが、建物内も庭もとてもキレイに整備された施設でした。

A beautiful place to be, as its rich with multiple floors showcasing the Islamic and Oman history. Some super treasured items on display, showing a neat chronology of history and evolution through the Oman Sultanate. You can find some invaluable historical artifacts and spend a good chunk of your day reading through and exploring. It also has a beautiful garden, cafe and small fountains around.

Happy to visit Bait Al Zubair Museum after long time. We did coffee mornings here AWG. History is nicely explained here. Artifacts kept nicely. Lovely to see Oman's kawah is in the menu and served eith dates. Love to bring artisans from Goa to meet artisans of Oman .

Bardzo ciekawe muzeum etnograficzną pokazujące historię Omanu poprzez dawne stroje, ozdoby, broń, a także przedmioty codziennego użytku. Jest trochę o fortach. Są nawet przykłady dawnych okien i bram. Na miejscu duży sklep z pamiątkami i kawiarnia. Polecam.

Miałam okazję odwiedzić Bait Al Zubair Museum w Maskacie i byłam zachwycona. Już sama tradycyjna omańska rezydencja robi wrażenie swoją autentycznością i starannym odrestaurowaniem. Wnętrza pełne są imponujących eksponatów – tradycyjnej broni, biżuterii, mebli i odzieży – które pozwalają poczuć ducha omańskiej kultury. Dodatkowo ogród i galeria sztuki współczesnej sprawiają, że spacer po muzeum jest naprawdę inspirujący. To miejsce idealne dla każdego, kto chce poznać historię i tradycje Omanu w spokojnej, autentycznej atmosferze.

This museum is really a little gem. Not too busy, not too big or pretentious and a real nice collection about Omani history. Definitely a place to visit. Also the restaurants are nice. A bit hidden but you get a feeling like being in an oasis and the food is quite good.

Muzeum powstało w 1998 roku w prywatnym domu rodziny Zubair przeksztalconym na instytucję kultury. Składa się z kilku budynków i ogrodów. Prezentuje tradycyjne omańskie artefakty, stroje, broń, biżuterię, znaczki pocztowe, monety oraz przedmioty gospodarstwa domowego. Bardzo przyjemnie zwiedza się kolejne sale muzealne, a w muzealnych ogrodach można się zrelaksować.

حقيقه المكان كل ركن فيه يمثل عمان ماضي وحاضر وشكرا علي القائمين عليه شكرا من أعماق قلبي استطعت اليوم ارجع بذاكرتي الي ابعد مدي وانا اتصور واتخيلك تلك لاثار الثمينه التي كانت ينتقيها المواطن العماني من حلي واكسسوارات جميله جدا .....شكرا جزيل

A beautiful and peaceful museum that offers a deep dive into Oman’s soul. The traditional costumes and ancient maps are fascinating. It’s very well-maintained, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. If you’re visiting the nearby Al Alam Palace, make sure to stop here

Musée très intéressant pour comprendre la culture omanaise A l'étage collection de timbres , de pièces pour les amateurs

Ce musée est magnifique, il retrace l'histoire d'Oman avec les différentes régions du pays, ses différentes cultures et traditions. Ce musée est très intéressant car il présente les différentes monnaie, c'est un musée intéressant pour les phylatélistes qui découvriront l'histoire des timbres dans le pays . Enfin on y trouve aussi une chambre destinée au coran et ses textes religieux

Bellissimo museo sulla storia dell’Oman. Non solo per i suoi contenuti ma anche per il sito ristrutturato da poco e molto affascinante anche sotto il profilo architettonico.

A little gem in the heart of Muscat, a huge collection displayed in a clean and easy medium. A must do for anyone seeking a little information about historic Oman!

I was here today and spent a couple of hours in the somewhat sprawling complex. I found the Omani artefact displays interesting and I really appreciated the English placards explaining the history of men and women dress, frankincense, jewellery and other ethnographic aspects. The art in one gallery wasn’t to my taste (especially the AI “art” ugh and sadly only one floor of a three story art gallery was open. So I dinked a star for that bc I shouldn’t have to pay full admission fee - a whopping 9 euros!- with closed exhibits. That said, the model village outside is adorable and the old photos and prints of Muscat from a century and older are fascinating. The restaurant and café on site are a bit expensive. But staff was overall lovely, and I’m grateful they let me leave a bag at the front desk. I’d still recommend this place to get a good sense of Omani cultures and history.

Entrée 3.2 rials pour les étrangers Musée pas très grand, mais bien agencé. Intéressant, si vous êtes attiré par les bijoux, les ornements, costumes et armes; ce sont les points sur lesquels il est assez détaillé. L’étage a trait à la philatélie et la numismatique.

It is located in the old Muscat. So it is a wonderful opportunity to see the old historical buildings there. Even though it's a small museum, it has many interesting items. You can learn about traditional Omani clothes and jewelry.

This place is interesting, because it was a house of alzubair family then they make as public museum , and it is so big inside .

This museum definitely was the most attractive place I visited during my journey in Oman. If you wanna know about the Omani culture and principles don’t hesitate to visit this place. The staff are very welcome and also knowledgeable and you can feel free to ask them anything about the museum.
