Baku Home Hostel

I visited this hostel with my friend, and we liked it so much, everything is clean, and hostel is very safe to stay. Receptionists were so helpful. Location is also amazing, literally 2-3 minutes to Old City, Nizami Street, Flame Towers. Highly recommended!!

Do not stay this hostel. When we arrived, the front door was locked and noone was at the reception, luckily the neighbors found and took us to the back door and we could come in. The receptionist was sleeping and he told us that he has other job so he's not doing reception things at all so it's kind of self check-in hostel he said. We checked in the room, the bedding were not changed obviously and he has already gone at the time so we had to wash them by ourselves. In the kitchen, full of garbage and rotten foods, dishes and pots were left unwashed in the sink. I've traveled 20 plus countries and this was definitely the worst accomodation I've ever experienced.

絶対に泊まらないで下さい！ 過去の良いレビューを見て宿泊を決めましたが、大失敗…せっかくのアゼルバイジャン旅が最悪なものになりました。 迷っている方は、どうか別のホステルを探して下さい！ ◆チェックイン 2時間近く待たされ、連絡もなし。 ◆2bedsの個室 シーツが2枚とも汚く、毛や血、土？が付着しており、相談するも交換はなし。床は掃いた形跡なし。 仕方なく持参した防虫シーツを使用しましたが、全身に虫刺されができ、かゆみが止まりません。南京虫かダニ、またはその両方がいるでしょう。 ◆セキュリティ 「部屋の鍵は明日持参します」と言われましたが、その約束が守られることはありませんでした。 玄関にも鍵がなく、誰もが出入りできるため、荷物を置いておくのは危険です。3度ほど勝手に部屋のドアを開けられて、かなり不快でした。 ◆キッチン 悪臭、ゴミの散乱、洗い残しだらけ。 何度か訴えるも「昨日掃除した」とのこと…このホステルには掃除の仕方を知る人は1人も居ないのでしょう。 ◆バスルーム キッチンと同様。

Used to be a lovely hostel until it changed ownership. Door was locked when we arrived even though we had told the owner we were arriving (not even at an unreasonable time it was about 10pm). We ended up waiting 2 hours for someone to arrive. Unlike the other reviews, there was someone at the desk, but he claimed he did not work there and was just covering until the owner returned - absolutely no help whatsoever. Finally when we checked in we were taken to our room and immediately we knew we were in the wrong place. The room was filthy, dirty bedsheets and mattresses, stained walls and floors. The room claimed it had air conditioning which turned out to be a fan with no protection on the front - just blades spinning dust around the room. The beds were so very uncomfortable. Never did we see any staff working there. All communal areas were disgustingly dirty with bins unchanged and dishes left out. The bathrooms were so unclean too. This was nothing like the photographs that they have posed online and we were truly shocked at the state of the hostel. We checked out after a night. Very disappointed and this hostel really should reconsider changing back to the old ownership.

I feel compelled to leave a negative review, because I booked a private room at this hostel months ago based on positive reviews. I emailed a question about the room I booked, and received a response in a timely manner. However, when I followed up by email to confirm my arrival time the day before check in, I didn't receive a reply. Fortunately, I checked Google and noticed the recent negative reviews and managed to book alternative accommodation. I was arriving in Baku late at night, and couldn't take the risk. Thank you to the others who left reviews here.

Charming hosts, convenient location (for me), reasonably priced - recommended. The gentleman on reception is studying German, so, if you can help him out with a few moments of conversation, I’m sure he’d appreciate it. (My German is very bad; I probably did him more harm than good. 🤦🏻‍♂️) One point to note: the phone number listed in the Hostelworld app for this hostel is wrong; it’ll put you through to some other hostel.

I arrived at the hostel around 4pm, but the entrance was closed and there was a piece of paper with WhatsApp contact details stuck on the door. When I contacted them, they said they were out and would take an hour to return. I had no choice but to kill time at a nearby restaurant. I asked them to contact me when they returned, but they never contacted me. I stayed for five days, and the front desk was almost always empty. I booked a private room, but the lock was broken. I was told the key would be given to me the next day, but during my five-day stay, I never received a key, and no one replied to my calls. The common areas, lkitchen, were littered with food and drink of unknown origin, and no one cleaned up. Dishes were also left unwashed. The hostel staff never cleaned the mess. In frustration, I asked them to clean, but all they did was collect the trash from the trash cans. Dishes and food had piled up in the kitchen, rotting and stinking. I never stay here again, and if you're still unsure whether to stay, I don't recommend it at all. I hope this review will help them improve, but I don't think that will be possible.

The hostel room, kitchen and bathrooms were fine. It's a reasonable place for the price. It's right in the city center, within walking distance to the metro station and most popular places, so it can be preferred. In addition, the hostel owners were very caring and understanding. It's definitely a hostel to choose.

Fiyat performans açısından çok iyi bir mekan. Çalışanlar yardımsever insanlar. Tek olumsuz yanı tuvaletlerin yetersiz olması. Bazı saatlerde sıra oluşabiliyor. Herhangi bir konuda ihtiyacınız olması durumunda ellerinden geldiğince yardımcı olacaklardır. Bakü’de bir çok yere yürüyerek gidebilirsiniz. Metro istasyonu yakın bir konumda.

不错的地理位置，性价比很高，工作人员态度友善，可以提供许多有效的信息，老板甚至给我写了一份一日游的Citywalk路线🙈感谢！

A budget hostel with nice staff. Location is great, that you can just walk to many tourist attractions like Baku boulevard (waterfront), Deniz mall, old town, metro station and Nizami Street.

Хостел находится очеень на хорошей улице, отсюда почти до всех достопримечательностей можно идти пешком. Внутри тоже не плохо, хороший персонал, дружелюбный. Только вот если есть возможность не берите комнату без окон, уж очень душно.

Отличное расположение, приятный персонал, хорошая цена. Не понравился вечно мокрый туалет(душ в полметра от унитаза) и, думаю, летом будет очень жарко, так как кондиционер оставляет желать лучшего. А так советую, место хорошее и своих денег стоит!

Just came here at 10 am and door was close i wait here 30 minutes with my heavy backpack. And no response. Even nobody open the door.

Два туалета, совмещённых с душем, на весь хостел (проблематично помыться да и сходить "подумать"). Комнаты расположены в подвальных помещениях, запах сырости и затхлости. Плюс за расположение и хорошее постельное белье

such a stupid hotel they charged me extra money when i make booking on Agoda until 10 Dec, on 9th they started asking for another day, useless and rude staff at the hostel
