Bellandur Lake

There is no Lake anymore. What was once a beautiful lake has been taken over and is now being filled with sand from nearby construction sites. Illegal dumping and lake filling continue here, both at night and in broad daylight. It’s difficult to understand how this is being allowed to happen.

A beautiful lake with a nice unpaved road around it. A nice place to walk and watch a few water birds like ducks and ergets.

Lake is very dirty, catches fire at times and gets dirty smelly froth. Now local authority took heed of it and started restoration work, its going good hope this help the lake getting back the lost beauty. It's a huge lake and as a citizen it's a duty of each individual to protect their water bodies.

It's one of the heavy polluted lakes in Bangalore. The lake is well known as large production of toxic snows. It has worst scene during winter and rainy season. It has a heavy sewage smell and issue . It's recaznised as largest lake in Bangalore. It's better having a view from distance rather visiting the place. Karnataka government has to take a sevier decision on the place if not the same scenarios repeat as it has happened before

Most criticised & polluted lake of Bangalore offerd a new look tonight. About 50m of the main outlet a concert space is constructed to protect the dirty water plants. The discharged water was clean. But beyond the construction it was full of water plants which emits very bad smells.

Bellandur is the largest water body in Bangalore city also the highest polluted lakes in India. if the government restore this lake it will be a biggest step towards to the water scarcity in Bangalore and the surrounding towns. also in future it could be a tourists spot.

Its real beauty can be seen in evening. It can be a source for water for bangalore. But without good maintenanace its highly polluted. During heavy rains froth covers the lake and roads nearby. Nearby atmosphere has a chemical smell

Although it’s an infamous lake, it offers pretty prestine views sometimes.

It is the biggest lake in Bangalore and is well located. This lake can be a very good source of water. But, due to negligence in maintaining the lake, it has become a sewage dump and has become extremely polluted. Wish the efforts from the masses can revive the lake and bring back its beauty.

Like all other lakes this is also heading towards its varnishing point. All the drainage system connected to this and marine life is in stake. Also near by environment is changed drastically. Earlier it was a nice place to hangout but not anymore now. I hope they should bring back lake city and resurrect all lakes for good.

The lake is a massive one but is polluted and is recently been dumped with sand and there has been fires around it. If properly maintained by the locals, it would probably be one of the best lakes in Bangalore

Beautiful lake. Though it is infamous for its pollution; but a beautiful lake nevertheless with breathtaking view during sunset. Must visit with a DSLR. You will find photographers waiting for the perfect shot very dusk.

Its not a place to visit any more.. it has reached a drastic polluted level.Although the government has been fined multiple times for cleaning this lake they are not paying any seriousness towards cleaning the lake.The drain which originates from this lake has foam like substance which is highly poisonous. some times because of air it goes in ear also.
