During our 7-day stay at Berjaya Hotel Colombo, we truly felt like it was our home in Sri Lanka. The location is fantastic, right by the beach, offering beautiful ocean views and relaxing surroundings. It’s also conveniently located close to shops and restaurants, which made everything easily accessible. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff welcomed and treated us like family. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine care made our stay incredibly special and comfortable. Our heartfelt gratitude goes especially to Shiroma for introducing and encouraging us to stay at Berjaya during our visit to Sri Lanka. Her care and support, along with the dedication of every single staff member, made our stay safe, pleasant, and truly enjoyable. Thank you to the entire team at Berjaya Hotel Colombo for making our mother’s birthday celebration such a truly wonderful and memorable event. From day one through to the conclusion of the event, Shiroma, the Event Coordinator/Manager, did an absolutely amazing job. She treated the function as if it were her own family event, guiding us through every detail with care, patience, and professionalism. Her dedication and personal touch made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free, and she ensured the night was unforgettable for every guest who attended. The food was simply outstanding — mouth-watering options that catered to everyone’s palate. Each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour, receiving compliments from all our guests. The service on the night was beyond words. Every staff member demonstrated exceptional professionalism, warmth, and dedication. They truly went the extra mile to make all our guests feel valued and respected, which made a significant difference to the overall experience. We are deeply grateful to the entire team for creating such a special and memorable celebration for our family. Highly recommended for anyone looking to host a meaningful and well-organised event. It was also a wonderful opportunity to witness the grand 31st night celebration at the hotel — it was truly next level! The atmosphere, entertainment, food, and overall organisation were exceptional. I had a wonderful 22-day stay at Berjaya Hotel Colombo. Being right by the beach brought back everything I love about tropical living—the atmosphere is calm, relaxing, and the views are absolutely stunning. One of the highlights was dining at The Wadiya, also run by the hotel team. The food is excellent and served right on the beach with an unbeatable setting—it’s an experience in itself. That said, adding a bit more ambiance would elevate the overall dining experience even further. I was lucky to have a main floor room with a beautiful tropical view of both the beach and the pool—something you’d easily expect to pay much more for elsewhere. While the property could use a little TLC in places, it still offers excellent value for money. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get around. What truly made my stay special was the staff. Every single person—from the front desk to housekeeping and the restaurant team—was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. It’s rare to feel so consistently well looked after. A special mention to Kapila, Roshan, Udara, and Palitha for their outstanding service—along with the rest of the team, they truly represent the spirit of the hotel. Overall, a fantastic stay and great value. I would happily return.

The experience was good. The views were stunning. The occasional trains passing by added to the already amazing view. The beach is just a 2 min walk away. Also, the pool is well maintained. But, the rooms look a bit old. The food was not too good. The pasta is bad and not recommended. Overall, the experience was good.

I am really disappointing on my recent day out package experience at Berjaya hotel. Before making the payment we asked about the package inclusions through phone call and a staff member informed us that the package included a room, pool access, and a welcome drink for 6hrs . Based on this information, we proceeded with the booking at a cost of approximately Rs. 5,000 per person. However, upon arrival, we did not receive the promised welcome drink. When we went to our room and attempted to make coffee, we found out that the kettle was not functioning. (They fixed it anyway after we informed) Later went to use the swimming pool, we were informed that the pool was closed for the day. This information had not been communicated to us prior to payment or check-in. As a result, we spent only five hours in the room without being able to enjoy the facilities and services that were advertised as part of the package. Considering the amount paid, this experience was extremely disappointing and did not provide value for money. I believe hotel management should ensure that all promised facilities and inclusions are available to guests. If certain services cannot be provided, customers should be informed in advance, and the package price should be adjusted accordingly. Providing fake information while charging the full package rate is unfair to guests. I inform future guests to verify that all advertised inclusions are available before making the payment

Today I visited Berjaya hotel Mount Lavinia to collect some personal documents from their HR department. The staff were so attentive, friendly and efficient. After this I visited the restaurant and had a club sandwich which was delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant captain Mr Dilhan went above and beyond to provide us an efficient service. I was glad to notice the hotel is well maintained and clean. Good luck with your future endeavors.

We stayed in Berjaya hotel for a long period. And the Foods were really delicious. The view from our room is really nice and relaxing. And Mr. Livera was so kind and helped us so much. Service were good. I recommend this hotel to everyone

Location is fabulous as it's just opposite beach. Food is typical Sri Lankan which may not cater to everyone's taste. Staff are very cheerful n helpful. They have a swimming pool which is very well maintained. Rooms are hygenic n airy with balcony facing the beach. Our room cleaner Buddika was a very honest, sincere and hard working boy. Would definitely recommend others to visit this hotel and experience an enjoyable n comfortable stay.

A very well appointed seafront hotel with access to the beach, huge adult pool with an adjacent childrens pool, all rooms with sea view and balconies, relaxed restaurant serving varieties of food, bar, a separate beach cafe and bar. En-suite rooms are spacious and clean but a little a tired looking, safe, tea/coffee kettle in rooms. Lift & ramps.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Room service was excellent. They paid attention to our needs right away. I think one of their names was Uditha All the reception staff were wonderful Roy who took care of luggage was excellent He was always willing to help. Some rooms were nice but some had stains on the floor which was not pleasant. The meals could improve more. I think Sri Lankan food should be promoted more! Lakitha was extremely helpful all the time! Beach was very close and a nice view was there from the balcony. I ended up eating from near by restaurants as I preferred proper Srilankan meals

We had a very nice stay at Berjaya Hotel Colombo. The location is great, the room was clean and comfortable, and the food was very good. A special thank you to Dilshan Abidhek (room attendant) for the excellent service and kindness shown to us during our stay. We truly appreciated it. Thank you, Berjaya Hotel!

My family and I visited Berjaya Hotel in Colombo mainly to enjoy the swimming pool, and overall it was a decent experience. The pool area was nice and relaxing, and the service worker Dilhan was friendly and helpful during our visit. However, the food service was quite slow and we had to wait a while for our order. The atmosphere was pleasant, but the delay in food service affected our experience. Overall, I’d give it 4 stars.

Your hotel ambience is excellent ... Indian food is also O K.. Service is good...Behaviour of staff Is appreciable...Never I can forget your Hotel and service. Mr Anupama's approach is super.. Very satisfied with the restaurant services and our stay. Special thanks to Mr. Dilhan for his caring, kind, and attentive service. His hospitality made our experience truly pleasant.

My stay was average. I will give only a 1 star for the rooms. The first room we went to looked nasty like a crime scene. Very unclean and old. Liquid stains and cracks on the walls and toilet. We had to change the rooms twice. New rooms was average but much better than the other two. Had a nice view though. The staff were kind enough to let us do that. The place desperately needs a lot of renovation and maintainence, instead of giving fruit platters as reparation to unhappy guests. Thats not gonna help if the room is still bad. As for the train sounds it was actually not much of a problem. Mr Roy was nice and helpful. Lot of potential in this place.

Overall a good experience... value for money. Front desk Staff Eshan helpful and well mannered. Restaurant staff Leo helpful, friendly and also well mannered. Will definitely come back.

We stayed at Berjaya Hotel for 2 nights. Their room service and the behavior of the staff were very warm and welcoming. I truly felt like I was staying in a 5-star hotel. Mr. Dilhan’s behavior and his excellent service really impressed me. I think if anyone comes to Colombo, they should definitely stay here. It is a very good and 100% safe hotel. We highly recommend it.

My wife has not stopped singing the praises of the hotel since arriving to leaving. Plan to make it our quintessential holiday destination. Reception surroundings, rooom, view from room, restaraurant, food in restaurant, service in room and restaurant were excellent. Sachini’s services in the restaurant were excellent. She was hospitable, kind a good hostess.

Appreciated with Mr Asitha, Front office team. They are very supportive and polite. Rooms are under renovation but we got very good see full view room. Must stay and must visit
