Best place near panchkula to spend time with nature you go anytime

It is a good place for nature lovers and has some great views. Lies on route to tikkar taal and Morni (only hill station in haryana) ; and has some good hotels on route. Great place to jog and cycle just beware of the huge monkey population. Several types of pheasants are bred, including red junglefowl (Gallus gallus), endangered cheer pheasant (Catreus wallichii) and endangered kalij pheasant. The centre has a program for breeding and releasing birds into the wild.

Guards didn't let us go in. We went to morni then we did start hiking from madhana village , we lost in way ended up in some village name called trilokpuri way far from our cars or morni... Please plan your hiking first 😛

Specially for residents of panchkula, this spot is a perfect gateway to be with nature and for those as well who wish to see birds in their natural habitat. Berwala bird sanctuary has not got the recognition it should but that doesn't dampen the beauty of the place anyways. The trail starts near Redwood Hotel and is almost 7kms long. It runs along the riverbed which is seasonal. On your way, you will find picnic area and opportunities to pluck and eat dates that are in abundance during the season. Don't expect them to be sweet as the one you get in the market.

Very nice birds sanctuary to visit in morning time walk along river side way & explore beauty of nature. Deers, vulture & wild hens are easily spotted in near it. Very peaceful walk.

The area is situated on the road going from Panchkula Haryana to Morni hills-the only hill station in Haryana. It is about 7 kilometres from Panchkula. There is a signboard indicating the area on left side of the road (as you go from Panchkula side) by the forest department. There are trees and bushes. And a river bed. One has to descend from bridge to reach the area. We went there twice. On one occasion we spotted a group of Nilgai. Also some birds like woodpeckers and butterflies. It is nowadays a scary area due to the menace of monkeys. Hordes of them squat on bridge and road. Since many people passing through the area has put them on the bad habit of giving eatables like bananas. They expect it from everyone. You have to park vehicle on the side of the road where in your absence, monkeys sit on the roof. So there is a lot of distraction. Due to this inhibiting factor, one is unable to explore the area peacefully . If forest department gives some attention to area, it can become a good place for bird watchers
