Borderlands Resort

Mixed feelings about this place. It’s great for nature lovers and adventure seekers — the surroundings are beautiful and full of nature. However, don’t expect great food or high comfort. It’s basically an adventure resort. There are tents (okay) and 9 newly built rooms. The rooms aren’t fancy, but decent — attached bathroom and a comfortable enough bed. Food: Not my favorite. It’s may be okay for the price, but still. Staff: Nice and friendly, but service feels more organic and casual — not the polished hospitality you’d get at resorts. Amenities: Very basic. No soap, toothbrush, or similar items in the room, so don’t expect those. Bottom line: Perfect for adventure/nature lovers who don’t care much about food or luxury. Not recommended if you’re used to high-end resorts with full amenities.

A hidden gem right by the Bhotekoshi River. Perfect for both adventure and calm. I had a great experience. The existing rooms in the small building are good and they are also building a new one which looks even better. Definitely recommend visiting and experiencing it for yourself.

The place is great with the beauty of greenery. There aren't much things to do for fun. It's best for people who are kinda indoor and nature loving person. My favourite part of the whole resort is the mini library there. I can't say it's child friendly without a supervisor as there's a small swimming pool and the resort is near the river.

We had a great time at Borderlands - the nature was gorgeous, the rooms were comfortable and we had delicious food. The staff were friendly if a bit shy but still taught us Nepali phrases and always checked in on us. We tried to customize our experience instead of doing a set package, and had issues with the communication between staff members. With some speaking limited English, we had to just go with the flow and let the plan change, pay extra for some hidden costs, and spend a lot of time driving on a very bumpy road 😂 However, we had a wonderful time on our hike and while rafting! I'd personally skip the visit to the Tibetan border and "hot springs" (in a bath tub) if you have to visit via car - I bet the hike there is beautiful though :) All in all, a very expensive and quite confusing trip in beautiful nature with wonderful views and lots of adventure!

The location is very nice with a flowing Bhotekoshi river on the side. Went with friends for a night but extended 1 more night. But, the service was slow during dinner. Had to wait for a refill. The price for lunch was unreasonable which was excluded from the package. Chicken and vegetarian lunch had the same price despite the number of items on the plate being low. Even, ghee was absent from the set for the whole time we stayed. The swimming pool is very nice but needs cleaning. The staff was friendly but the lack of management made discussion regarding price chaotic. Some prices were discussed but not given during payment. The room is nice but we got a single room for 5 people. The shower area is nice and communal style but separate for the male and female. Since, the area is in nature, be prepared for some insects and bugs.

Location and resort is very nice. However the food was not as good as the price. 👉 550 for that veg rice doesn't seem very reasonable. This kitchen didn't even had ghee. 👉 Service is slow. 👉 they seem less prepared if people extend the stay. 👉 food price seems unreasonably high for what they provide. It's good for stay ..not for food..

Best eco Resort for the nature, peace and adventure lovers. This place offers stay in Safari and Normal Tents and also offers different adventurous activities like Kayaking, Rafting and Canyoning. The environment is so so so peaceful and the River flows by side of the resort. I highly recommend this place.

I had 2 days vist to borderlands. Location wise- near from barabise and can reach via small car as well, but i would not recommend during raiy season. Located on left bank of Bhotekoshi River, so this made my stay peaceful and a step close to nature. hospitality is next level, we were welcomed with welcome drinks and snacks. Helped us for campfire and chicken barbeque. Food is awesome, we need to inform earlier if wanted to order anything out of menu. They even bought cake for us travelling about 20 km offroad, that was unexpected service form the staff. All rooms are in tent, excelent quality and heavy duty tent. You can sleep comfortably.

One of the best resort I stayed in Fresh water swimming pool. Good food and environment is perfect. Sleeping calmly hearing sound of river is just too good feeling.

The place was good and the experience how we can feel the nature while being at it's peak was best.... Furthermore everyone on the resort were good too... Had a great chance to know myself and chill out.... Recommended to visit...

The resort is the phase of revival. Due to low number of customers visiting after covid there are very limited number of staffs presently. The bar has been kept empty and there are no choices of food. However, the tents are clean.

Nice natural place. Resort is located just behind the Bhotokoshi River. tropical place with some bugs but its great place to spend quality time to those who wants to natural refreshment away from the crowds.

Great place to relax and stay lost in nature. Tented rooms available for stay, freshly farmed food, canyoning activity, very hospitable staff, and an open top shower. Had a enjoyable weekend.

If you are fine sleeping in Safari tent this a great place. I did some wonderful walks. Good starting point for rafting and bungee jumping

Best place to go for a vacation or short trip. The place is amazingly beautiful. They have beautiful safari tents... good service..

Staffs are very friendly. The food is great. Best to visit with friends and family. Hot water available for bathing. Overall it is a great place to stay.

A must stay place if you are peace lover. The place is surrounded by greenery and the staffs are also very friendly.

Beautiful resort by the river. Maintained to Western standards. I would give it 6 stars if I could.

Simple , calm and happy to help staff . Be ready to bring your own stash of food.
