I went to BrainHub with one very specific reason: a long-standing issue involving auditory dissociation and control. I made that absolutely clear from the start. The doctor, Dr. Nami, ran tests, found flaws in my brain function, and presented treatment in a way that strongly implied I’d finally find some relief. He told me he would try his best, and that gave me hope. But what actually happened was a complete derailment. Instead of addressing my main concern, the focus shifted entirely to those brain test findings. I ended up paying 10,000 AED, only to be pushed through sessions that never touched the real issue. To make matters worse, my intrusive thoughts — which had been under control — actually came back after a few sessions with him. And it wasn’t for lack of effort on my part. I had already tried EFT, EMDR, CBT, multiple psychiatric medications (changed several times), strict IBS diets, a full Ayurvedic program with medication, and even other brain testing. I told him all of this clearly. Yet when nothing improved with the 6 sessions (yes, 6 sessions for a condition that’s been going on for 2 years), his final stance was that I should see a gastroenterologist, continue psychiatric meds, and go back to a psychologist. Exactly the same dead-end advice I’d been given for years. No new solutions, no deeper approach, nothing. My mom even emailed Dr. Nami back and forth, but he insisted that I had improved (which I hadn’t) and doubled down on the same referrals. He never once suggested an alternative path, a more intensive strategy, or anything that actually acknowledged the reality of my situation. In the end, I was left with no relief, a resurgence of intrusive thoughts, and the bitter feeling of being misled. BrainHub markets itself as a cutting-edge center for neurological and cognitive issues, but in my experience, it was dismissive, repetitive, and a complete waste of time and money. I would strongly warn anyone: don’t make the same mistake I did.
