I looked into the Front End Web Development online program. It was offered as a certificate program in approximately 7 months for $10,000 +. I was told before I started and paid for the program that ANYONE could do this program easily with zero background in the field. I have always been a very smart individual with schooling and this was, by far, the most difficult program I ever did and should never have been offered to people with zero background in coding. This field takes years of experience to become employable. We lost at least 5 students in our class because of the difficulty level and my hair actually started turning gray and falling out from the stress level. With only 2 months left, we had one of our in class assignments due that we had after each class. This was nearing the end of this particular course and our teacher mentioned in class that he was adding extra help this time to our assignment to make it easier on us. I used what he sent, exactly how he sent it as I was under the impression that's what I was suppose to do. The next day I get a zero on my assignment and my teacher threatening to get me kicked out of school with plagiarism. Instead of speaking me to me like a human being and asking me what happened this was the treatment I got from teacher. If I was stupid enough to plagiarized my teacher's work and pass it in to him EXACTLY how he gave it to us then I certainly shouldn't be going to college. Common sense it was an obvious mistake. I certainly wouldn't risk my entire certificate and money over an in class assignment. I passed every other assignment in on time, never asked for an extension or pass one in late/ not at all like other students that struggled less, and everything was always my own work. Never missed one single class in 7 months and never had issues with any of instructors. My heart was broken and I just wanted to quit more than I ever did before. Then after finally completing the course the school never even placed us or helped us find jobs. Literally nothing! But this is the cake topper. They sent my certificate to the wrong address and I waited forever to get it. It was a fellow student that told me they had theirs so I knew something happened. When I located it to my old address I tried getting my landlord to send it to my correct address but that didn't happen. When I contacted the school and explained the situation I was told too bad it's passed 6 months and I would have to pay $80 just for a piece of paper that's literally mine and my right. I'm serious to everyone please do not enroll with this school until you've done more research!

This is the worst college because the people working here have zero knowledge. Enrolment staff do not know how to get my course registered, and talking to the advising team is a complete waste of time. CHOOSE OTHER institutions for better career, because this is not worth to study in here.

ブリティッシュコロンビア州の州立の工科大学です。マスティンバー建築の技術研修と工法視察の為に訪問しました。工科大学となっていますが技術習得の専門学校的要素が大きいらしく高校を卒業して工科大学として入学してくる学生が４割位で残りは実際に建築関係の仕事をしながら受講する人が多く１週間に１回来る人もいれば数か月に１回の人もいるので形式的な在校生は５万人位いるらしいです。日本の大学でいう夜学のニュアンスがあってると思います。通常は2年制ですがたまにしか来ない人は何年も在学しているらしいです。日本人の学生も多く痕跡を見つけました。

It was an absolutely terrible experience, be prepared to pay LOTS of money if you're an international student, and don't expect much. There are a few good teachers but don't expect any help AT ALL with the internal team. I lost count of how many times someone was RUDE while I was trying to solve an issue. Ridiculous wait times to get an answer via email (and when they reply be prepared for them to ignore the main issue) If you need help to make a payment then it's easy but good luck if you need help with anything else that doesn't bring money to them. I know this might be an easy choice because it is a popular institution but I would recommend you consider other schools (really)

The worst student service in my life. Never go back to BCIT.

Universities teach students how to think. Polytechnic schools teach students how to work. BCIT graduates are prepared for the workforce in trades, business and applied Science technologies. Is a great campus, although seemingly under constant construction. Learning is a lifelong skill

Great institution, no doubt. As a professional we are not looking for courses because we need a certificate, we are looking for a community so we can share knowledge at the same time. And lots of us tired of online courses, excited to visit school. Today I tried to register a course name Quality Management Fundamentals OPMT 1106 and had bad experience. First of all this course offered of spring 2025 only online but same course had four classes, three of them on campus last semester. I couldn’t log in because website was so busy. The time I logged in then found all booked and only online offered. Institute like BCIT which is not a money making organization must offer every course ON CAMPUS (few exceptions may apply) so working class people like me have chance to visit school. And don’t forget there is lots of people like me don’t like online course and also tired to dealing with web activities at everyday work. Please don’t separate us. Thanks

Waiste of time and money if you study in here, because useless people are working in here, they do not have any knowledge

Lets say that I would have failed BCIT, but if I didn’t it was for BCIT. They have provided all the necessary things that I needed, starting from notes upto peer educators. The counsellors are very helpful and they supported me all through my journey. I have been with some BCIT communities and the admins do as much as possible to help especially for an ANGRY young man like me. The employment opportunities are just awesome. BCIT will make sure that you are job ready and you have the right job too. The only issue I have is parking tickets. 🤣

The parking system in BCIT is terrible! Students have to pay 130+ per month to park in the school and it is really hard to find a parking spot after 7:10am. I can only park in parking lot D which is 10 minutes walk to my building. Meanwhile, the staff parkings are always half empty and they are right next to the buildings. The price for parking in BCIT is not worth it at all!

Cancelled my course two days before it was due to start.

do not choose this school for study, it is not worth for career.

l keep calling them so many times during their working hours and l wait for two hours each phone calls, but nobody answers, and also l emailed them two weeks ago and till now, nobody reply. So what’s the purpose of student center putting a contact numbers and emails there when they do not even pick up the telephone?

Bad experience, I called international department like 50 times but nobody picked it and I made so many calls to general inquiry desk the lady was ignorant and said can't do anything about people who aren't picking their phone and always transferred my call to international department and still they didn't attend any of phone calls I did in regards to my further studies in BCIT. There are so many students like me who call them and they don't answer their calls. So frustrating, I mean you are there for students ,to help them But what's the purpose of having phone when you don't want to answer it.

Any university in a third-class country is more serious than here. They are terrible at official procedures, especially in the documentation department and correspondence.

They really don't care about creating problems for international students, completely fabricated by the institution itself, because of their lack of organization -and compassion. Then, they leave them to fend for themselves in the face of complicated bureaucracy, washing their hands of any responsibility

I attended an FWR Program for three years. In the RENR classroom, close to the end of the third year, in the cabinets that were under students desks, once opened for the first time, there were very old moss balls and what once were stuffing of birds; though, stripped eaten to the bones by larva and crumbled up dry over a very long time. That old crumbled animal matter with moss ball chemicals was getting air born into the classroom through the large openings of loosely closing cabinetry doors. They also had this black humor stuffing on the wall, which was a rabbit with skillfully glued antlers and ears from a goat, or something alike, showing how serious they were about animals. Though, not much is worse than the false globe doctrine they kept failing me on. They drained large aquarium with fish during year two, one wonderful feature in the class, though, it was theirs. The cashier reception desks were floor down, where receptionists collected digital card payments.
