😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬 Got rid of the non electric bikes because they want everyone to be fatter at this Uni so they can never leave! This is also to stop a riot from all the students that will inevitably fail their exams, you know, because of all the laid off teachers (specifically the female ones too, I've noticed) . I do note that the bikes are more of a Council issue. But I am positive the University held some leverage. What a waste 🤣 Call the "vice" "president" of the uni (whatever that means) Principal Skinner (like the Simpsons) Because all he seems to care about is money and making the place a tad harder for national students. And trust me. I loved this University too 😣. Alas all good things must come to an end. All i can say is the teachers that were around loved their jobs. The bikes that did exist were greatly useful. The sports membership - although increasing in price , is brilliant in comparison to many other universities that do worse. The staff are actually helpful if you know how to ask... but those darn bikes 😔

Worst ever! If you are an international student never ever come to this university as they can simply curtail your visa by mistake and the court process takes 2-3 years and will cause a financial burden. And the university staff is full of discriminators

The staff were atrocious. Some students were just predators and bullies and I did not feel safe at all. From this experience I tried to take my own life nunerous times.

They are deleting all alumni emails after previously having marketed it as a 'lifelong' service. Feels like they don't care about you after you've graduated and paid all that money.

My wife completed a Master’s course online with Brunel University, and unfortunately the overall experience was extremely poor. Student support and the Students’ Union were largely unavailable and unhelpful throughout, with very little communication or guidance when issues arose. The most frustrating part was the delay in receiving the degree. We had to wait over a year after course completion, during which time we were repeatedly told that the “summer panel” was reviewing matters. Despite this, the degree was not awarded until the spring of the following year. The lack of transparency and accountability was unacceptable. Based on our experience, we would strongly advise others to avoid this university. We have already warned relatives and friends not to apply here.

Brunel University London is a public research university located in the Uxbridge area of London, England. It was founded in 1966 and named after the Victorian engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel. In June 1966, Brunel College of Advanced Technology was awarded a royal charter and became Brunel University. The university is often described as a British plate glass university.

The university location and environment is good. Rooms could be better maintained and students discipline could be better maintained. Students are not keeping the premises clean, they are absolutely filthy, they are vacating the rooms and leaving them in a filthy state. They are smoking in the rooms, and kitchens are not left clean. How is this not monitored? We are sending our children to study here and paying thousands of dollars, not to clean other people's filthy mess. How long has it been since carpets have been changed or even shampooed? A thorough check should be done prior to a student moving out and have that student pay damage deposit. It took over a week since our daughter got her permanent room and that too with the faucet leaking and flooding her room. It's gross. Even though student support helped her and changed her room, but she got a single bed instead of a double and she is still waiting for a fridge even though the request was put in 3 weeks ago. How are these matters not sorted prior to a room being assigned to a student? It was quite a disappointment.

Have done my Masters there in Marketing and branding. Perfect university for marketing geeks and sports lovers.... Huge campus with almost everything included, staff is so friendly and helpful especially for international students. Great help from different clubs and societies.... Sharp placement options too plus its reputation and name is enough to stand out in market. :)

Was just here for an open day and I left feeling ashamed. As soon as I mentioned that I medically suspended and was looking to transfer, the lecturer I spoke to changed tone and was almost disregarding. I then went to speak to the admissions team as advised and was soon told with borderline glee that no way was I getting in as I 'only' had access to high education qualification. Aside from this, trying to find where the open day took place was difficult. Minimal signage or staff. Myself and others were asking passers-by for information. Been to a few open days, this was the first time I left feeling dejected and uninspired. After reading the reviews here, it makes sense why I felt the way I did afterwards. They only want students who they think will get good grades regardless of the teaching level. They don't want anyone with 'issues' of any kind as they don't have the means or skills to fully support you.

This "university" cares more about money than the lives, safety, or education of their students. This can be seen through the amount of international students brought in too due to the amount they're willing to pay (3x more). I know so many students who have experienced severe health problems but the uni did not accommodate them through these. As a result, they had suffered more due to negligence of the university within its unjust system. Worst of all, within these meetings, myself and others have been laughed at through our struggles. This is extremely unethical. You have no voice and they revert back to the same point if you appeal (without hearing anything you say). Myself, and others (females) have experienced a number of unsafe situations, and security did not look further into these to prevent them from happening again. Drunk, aggressive men had somehow entered our all-female flats with different keys. I had been chased with a knife in my first-year flat, by a student I did not personally know, and security did not properly investigate this. This is outrageous. Student accommodation has infestations and major plumbing issues. They won't fix either of these but will continue to charge students. There are more silverfish in Bishops Complex and Lancaster Complex has rats and mice. Furthermore, thousands worth of students' possessions have been stolen from their ground floor rooms. Faraday Complex has plumbing issues, your shower water will keep overflowing and the rooms on the ground and first floor tend to flood with urine and you-know-what. So avoid these at all costs. Unfortunately, I've seen this happen but the uni do not fix this system or reimburse finances. If you're considering adequate on-campus living, Isambard Complex is the only option. Expectations of students vs lecturers is unequal. We submit to all deadlines and adhere to all adjustments but the entire process of the uni is last-minute, feedback is returned much later than anticipated, etc. This university has been going downhill over the last few years. I would not recommend for anyone to go to Brunel.

they fired the mental health team so students will have basically no support for disorders or disabilities or crisis. there is no on-campus therapy anymore. used to be good but they've fired many great teachers due to "budget cuts". do not go here if you want to go to a school that will offer help for ur mental health there are many other schools in london that offer great support. They also do nothing when people in flats trash the kitchen. Have fun living in filth until it's cleaning day. I'm considering switching schools.

One of the worst experience in my life. It is almost impossible to prove that you are right due to slow bureaucracy and misleading technical guidance or lack of support. Even though you are right, nobody from the institution side admits their mistakes and incapabilities. They protect each other. A research project based on a facility does not exist, a supervisor tell lies and mislead the project... Lack of integrity... A terrible experience and simply corruption. I hope one day I will share this experience with some journalist... Unfortunately, I do not have money to hire a solicitor to sue them for being scammed. Do not trust this institution for research... High possibility to destroy your career.

As an alumni of Brunel University, I am extremely disappointed with the lack of support I have received. All I am asking for is confirmation of my student placement hours, which are required for me to gain a professional license for a job in America. Instead of assisting, Brunel refused, stating that because I studied in 2012 they do not have such records. This refusal has left me unemployed in America, simply because Brunel will not communicate with the licensing board or provide the necessary documentation. I raised a complaint and gave them the chance to resolve this privately, but they have failed to respond. I am sharing this so prospective students are fully aware: please think twice before applying to study the SCPHN at Brunel. A university should support its graduates beyond graduation, not block their professional careers.
