بهترین نقطه تفریحی لبنان که بسیار زیبا و تاریخی بود با کافه های بسیار و دیدنی. ساحل زیبا و ماسه ای اون رو از دست ندید این شهر هم مسیحی نشین هستش حتما برای اینجا یک روز و شب زمان بزارید

Puesto que cierra a las 16h (demasiado temprano con las horas de luz que hay aquí...) tuve que verlo a todo prisa y a las carreras en 30min. Como la mayoría de sitios arqueológicos en Líbano necesita más mantenimiento, limpieza y cuidados. Los paneles informativos son suficientes y no son pocos. Pagar 8€ por la visita quizá sea demasiado si no te gusta la arqueología o la historia, pues desde fuera se ve bastante lo que hay dentro. La fortaleza de Trípoli cuesta la mitad y pasas mucho más tiempo dentro entre museo y laberinto.

Прекрасно място за разходка. Руините са добре обяснени. Има малко, симпатично музейче посветено на финикийците. Ние бяхме през м. Март и времето беше невероятно. Всичко потънало в зеленина, с красиви гледки към, морето, Бейрут и пълмовете над Библос. През лятото най-вероятно ще е много горещо за разходка, т.к. е много открито. Excellent place to excape from Beyrut crowds and noise. The site is easy to walk and well explained with sign boards. There is a cute smal museum dedicated mainly to the phonecian ancestors. We visited the place in Marc and we had lovely weather. Everything was green, there is a beautiful view towards the sea, Beyrut and the hills above Byblos/Jbeil. Summer might be not the best time for visits, because it will be too hot. The plase is open and there is not much shade.

If you haven’t visited this citadel with a guide - you should do seriously rethink your plans ! There is so much to be seen in an old ruins city that has been inhabited for more than 8000 years. Stepping into Byblos is more like walking through a living, breathing timeline of human history. The site offers a dizzying layers-of-civilization effect. A guided tour is essential here; without a trained eye to point out the nuances, you might mistake a Neolithic floor for a simple stone path or miss the subtle transition from Amorite ruins to Hyksos fortifications. The heart of the experience belongs to the Phoenicians who turned Byblos (which they named Gebal) into a global powerhouse. Your guide will likely lead you to the Royal Necropolis, where the Sarcophagus of King Ahiram was discovered. This is a pivotal site for world history, as it bears the oldest significant inscription in the Phoenician alphabet—now at the national museum in the capital city. Standing by the deep shaft graves, you can visualize the wealth of the cedar trade that linked this harbor to the Pharaohs of Egypt, creating a cultural melting pot that defined the Bronze and Iron Ages. Beyond the Phoenician golden age, the tour highlights the relentless march of empires that fought to claim this strategic gem. You’ll find yourself moving from the Roman colonnaded street and reconstructed theater—perched dramatically against the blue of the sea—to the imposing Crusader Castle which offers a panoramic view of the medieval harbor and the surrounding souks. Such a wonderful historical site having influences of Roman, Phoenician and Ottoman periods. It was supposedly layered in soil and lost in time until recently when the residents were evacuated and the site excavated to find this lovely history. A mere visit to this site itself is all worthwhile with the beautiful breathtaking views of the Mediterranean sea. Take a guide along to learn history, it's worth it. You could easily spend around 2hrs wandering and around. Entrance fee is LBP800,000 ($9) and includes a visit a tiny museum within

It is disappointing to see how badly maintained the place is. There is so much wasted potential in this place if only the ministry of tourism would put a bit of effort into it. The citadel itself is pretty nice, but the area around is becoming a grassland and a graveyard for the ancient pillars which are still in good condition. With a bit of work, they have all the pieces necessary to recreate some of the original structures. They also let exposed ancient mosaics in the middle of the bushes which you would mistakenly walk on and damage. The posters are covered with bird droppings that have not been removed for a long time. The visit was still worth it, but to see how badly we take care of our heritage is saddening.

A highlight in Byblos - from the citadel one can get a good view of the city and archaeological site. In addition it is possible to wander around in the ruins and see the contours of the city there once was.

An ancient city in Lebanon that is still very popular, beautiful and clean. Culturally diverse and well preserved. The castle is a stunning sight to behold as well as the old souq that sells memories of the city. But be ready to haggle prices with locals to get the best value for your money. The port dock gives you the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful waters and beach houses surrounding it.

Byblos Citadel is an incredible historical site with exceptional archaeological variety. The preservation is outstanding, showcasing more than 8,000 years of continuous history from different civilizations. Walking through the ruins gives a real sense of the city’s deep past and cultural layers. A must-see for anyone interested in history or archaeology.

Endroit majestueuse, remplie de lieux historiques qui racontent une ancienne civilisation avant notre ère. Vue très belle si vous monter au sommet de la citadelle, un mini musée très intéressant. Très recommandé pour les amateurs de lieux historiques.

Библос е най старият жив град .Селището съществува от VIII хилядолетие пр.н.е. и е един от главните градове на древна Финикия. Библос доставя египетски папирус в Древна Гърция, откъдето идва и името му. За съжаление трудно се добива представа за финикийска архитектура , поради наслагване на исторически пластове и видимо не поддържане на историческия парк .

Jbeil Castle is an amazing spot to explore if you’re into history and stunning views. The castle is right in the middle of the ancient city of Byblos, and it’s got this incredible backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea. The location alone makes it worth a visit. The castle itself is well-maintained and offers a great look into the past with its ancient walls and towers. You can walk around and imagine what life was like centuries ago. Plus, the views from the top are absolutely breathtaking, you get a perfect panorama of the sea and the city harbor. I used to visit Jbeil Castle regularly, and I really miss the peaceful vibe and the sense of history it offers. If you’re in the area, definitely check it out it’s a fantastic place to soak in some culture and enjoy the scenery.

레바논 사람들도 많이 오는 관광지인데, 충분히 볼 가치가 있네요. 꼭 들리시길!

My kids really enjoyed the journey to the castle. The kids really liked it and it was like a piece of puzzle that the kids really loved when entering and exiting from different doors down stairs and upstairs. The view at the top of it is just spectacular. As a family I would absolutely recommend visiting the archeological site and enjoy the history

مكان اثري رائع ،في مدينة جبيل التي تعد من اقدم مدن العالم ويعود تاريخهاالى ٨الاف عام تقريبا القلعه تعود لأيام الصليبيين بنيت على آثار او في مكان قلعه تعود لأيام الامبراطورية الرومانيه. خارج أسوار القلعه توجد بقايا المدينه الرومانيه القديمه ممتده على مكان شاسع وتحتاج وقت طويل لاستكشاف جميع الاماكن قرب القلعه يوجد سوق صغير مع محلات جميله لبيع التحريات والصابون والزيوت والعطور الطبيعيه.. يوجد بيت تراثي على البحر ولكنه مهمل مع الاسف..وهناك على مقربه من القلعه ميناء جبيل.. المكان باكمله يستحق الزياره وخصوصا لمن يحب الاماكن الاثريه والتاريخيه
