Tasty meals. Always a crowd so there a bit of waiting . The sides like sardine fry was absolutely tasty and fresh. Meals is the thing to order here if you’re coming in for lunch .

Last year, my brother, who lives in Dubai, took our mom and me to Notebook Restaurant. I didn’t get a chance to leave a review at the time, so I’m sharing it now! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—every bite was delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We can’t wait to visit again

It’s a nostalgic place for me and my family as we are from Calicut. So In Dubai when you hear your city name, an inner force will bring you there, without even you notice it. We were a frequent visitors of this restaurant since it started. The staff members are very pleasing and friendly. Possibly that’s the reason, we are visiting this restaurant at least once a week, if not more. Whenever we have visitors at home you make sure to take them to Calicut Notebook Restaurant for them also to enjoy the tasty food served there. We have tasted both vegetarian and non vegetarian food there. We have more non vegetarian (fish & meat combinations) dishes compared to vegetarian foods. Our favorite dishes over there are Chicken Dum Biriyani, Seshwan Fried Rice (both vegetarian & non-veg), butter chicken, Kadai Panee, Paneer Butter Masala, Fish varutharachathu, Fish Fries, Chicken Chettinad…. On special occasions (ONAM), (VISHU), we get Sadhya on Banana Leaf. The tastes of the meals are delicious and authentic. Basically in Dubai (we r in Dubai for over 32 years - my two daughters are born and brought up here - now one is in Germany and the other in the United States) we have a feeling that we are not living in a foreign country but our own country. The people are so friendly so we don’t feel we are around 3000 miles away from our country. Whenever our daughters visits us in Dubai, we make it a point to dine at Calicut Notebook Restaurant, our nostalgic place 😊 So Ladies and gentlemen, please do visit and experience this restaurant by yourself, family and friends. Am sure for you also, after your first visit you will become a fan of this restaurant like us.

After coming to dubai, this was the best kerala chicken biriyani I had.. so tender, tasty and the beef so well cooked.

Very disappointed with the service we received yesterday. The staff informed us that proper service would start after Iftar, but when we tried to order food around 5:40 PM (Iftar time), many items not available. Briyani items not available at all 6 oclk .. We had to wait at the table and finally ordered only basic food. Despite the limited options, the price was very high — our bill came to around 90 AED. Honestly, it was not worth the price at all. We expected much better service, especially during Ramadan

Honest review: In short, very average taste and not worth the price or experience. We ordered prawns Tawa fry, we got only 5 prawns with the complete shell, it was hard to eat to be honest and with shell removed after so much effort, it’s only a few flesh. The price of it was 45 aed! It wasn’t even 10 aed worth. Mango fish curry was basically a mango curry with the fish added later, I think they make mango curry in bulk and then add the boiled fish to it. Beef varattiyath was a bit sweet and too much masala with less beef. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone and will never visit again.

Calicut notebook Abubaker Al Siddique for is one of the best Kerala restaurants in Dubai. Extremely tasty food. The waiter gave us great recommendations. Their special Achayans Chicken curry is top notch and Seabass Kanthari grill was flavourful which buttery soft Would recommend to have better decor and a bit more hygiene.

One of the oldest restaurants in deira area.good seating capacity available. We had porota,chicken nadan curry and payroll chicken.food was tasty.prices are little higher side.paid parking available and hard to get parking in this area.service is good.

I visited the Calicut Notebook Deira branch with the intention of having “Khalb Nirachath”. When I arrived at 7:45 PM and asked for it, I was told it was already finished. Disappointed, I shared how much I was craving the dish with the manager, Mr. Ratheesh. To my surprise, he personally went to the kitchen to check if it could be prepared again. And guess what? He made sure I got to enjoy my favorite Khalb Nirachath! What more can I say? This team truly treats their customers like guests. My heartfelt respect goes to Mr. Ratheesh and all the staff members, including the kitchen team, for their exceptional service. Thank you so much 🙏🏽❤️✨

Food - 10/10 Portion -10/0 Tried the beef dry, wheat parotta,chicken curry! Fantastic taste! Service could have been better, the food was slightly delayed.

Order fish tawa and porotta via new app keeta. Fish was hard and dry fish smell. Very disappointing. Didn't expect this from calicut note book. 100% it is not fresh fish they sent. Half the fish we threw. Customer health also should be considered. Very disappointing from Calicut notebook. We were regular customer.

An interesting experience with unique preparations. The free starter was a pleasant experience, a green leaf you add Roasted coconut chunks, honey, peanuts, onion, ginger spicy red chilly, all surprisingly tasty! Nice food, great service!

Nice restaurant with an extensive Pan Asian menu along with the Kerala items. Soothing music, good food and courteous service. All that we need for a good veg lunch. Had a nice time. Will return again.

One of the best biryanis I’ve ever had in the UAE! Every branch maintains the same taste and quality, making it a top spot for food lovers. Being from Thalassery, where the famous Thalassery biryani originates, I found their biryani to have a similar authentic taste. It’s more than satisfying for any Malabari food lover. I highly recommend it to everyone—the taste, staff behavior, and overall atmosphere are absolutely perfect!

Very good restaurant overall. The soup was very good. Malbari paratha was very good. Butter paneer was exceptional. The malbari curry was decent. The service was out of this world. Very friendly staff and quick service. They also gave a free passion fruit juice. Highly recommended.

Their biriyani is absolutely delicious and worth the money. The meals is also good. The sides of beef fry is tasy.

Great experience at Calicut Notebook Restaurant in Deira. Delicious, authentic Indian food and excellent service. Arwin Thomas offered a tasting and was amazing, and Ganesh was very friendly. Highly recommended.
