Calicut Notebook Restaurant – Kottayam We had a wonderful dining experience at Calicut Notebook. The ambience is elegant, clean, and very family-friendly with comfortable seating and warm lighting. The staff were polite, attentive, and served us with a smile throughout. We ordered several dishes, and everything tasted fresh and authentic: 🍲 Soup – Light, flavourful, and a perfect start to the meal. 🥭 Mango Salad – Refreshing, well-balanced, and beautifully prepared with fresh mango and herbs. 🦐 Prawn Starter – Spicy, delicious, and cooked perfectly. One of the highlights of our meal. 🍛 Curry – Rich, creamy, and full of traditional Kerala flavours. 🥘 Porotta & Chapati – Fresh, soft, and served hot. Excellent texture and perfect to pair with the curry. The restaurant maintains great hygiene, and the table setup was neat with everything arranged properly. Overall, a fantastic experience with amazing food and great service. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Malabar cuisine in a comfortable setting. 🌴✨

I was visiting from California with my wife. I noticed this was a new restaraunt in Kottayam with good reviews, so I decided to try it out. Right from the moment we walked in we were welcomed with warm hearts. Exceptional service, food and quality. The people working there, especially Abin, made sure I was properly taken care of. Some of their specialty foods include biriyani, fish mango curry, kanthari milkshake, and tender coconut pudding and a chicken appetizer. All food tasted superb and was well presented. The manager Saabin also introduced himself and made sure we were having a good time. Without doubt, I will be back here again!

We came to this place as part a of group of 20 people . We had the famous parotta beef roast , nadan erachi curry and allepey chicken curry. Which was suggested by them in view of the number of people and need for speedy service . Every thing was as expected .. excellent..and it's reputation is intact. The service deserves an extra mention ..food was ready and piping hot by the time we reached ..no delay in service as we had called them up and order earlier. Topped it off with lemon tea , leamon juice , soda lime.. nothing to complain about . On the Google maps the direction is to hotel pentagon. The Calicut notebook is in the same building

I stopped by Calicut Notebook on a very rainy afternoon around 3 PM, and it turned out to be a lovely experience. We ordered the naadan mutton soup, fresh mango salad, nool porotta, rice with fish mango curry, and the Payyoli chicken dry fry. Every dish had that clean, balanced flavour you expect from proper Kerala cooking—nothing overly spiced, just well-rounded and authentic. The food tasted homely rather than “restaurant-heavy,” which I really appreciated. The ambience was warm, the table was spotless, and the service was genuinely thoughtful. They even surprised us with a complimentary bowl of payasam, which was a sweet touch. The food arrived quickly and exactly the way we wanted it. Overall, it was a satisfying visit and I’d happily go back. They have good parking space as well.

Nice hotel with good seating and ambiance. Waiting time was a bit longer, possibly due to limited staff in the morning. Customer service was good. Ordered appam, chicken stew, and egg roast—food was tasty. Ample car parking and affordable breakfast.

Had an amazing experience at calicut notebook yesterday! The ambience was spot on, and the staff were super friendly and professional. Food was delicious, but the desserts stole the show! The banana crepe ice cream and carrot halwa were absolute highlights - seriously considering going back just for those 😋. Highly recommend checking it out.

We were a group of 35 who stopped for a quick snack... The place is besides the famous hotel pentagon, there is plenty of parking space. The atmosphere is near and greeny with beautiful plant based interiors. Some of the must try dishes ranges from chicken screwdriver to nadan pazhampori. Service is good, we have neat washrooms for gents and ladies.

This restaurant never disappoints me. The dishes especially Biriyani are tasty, not too oily or spicy, and have that authentic Malabar touch. The restaurant is very Clean, the staff are friendly and professional and the priced are reasonable. Definitely worth a visit! They also have plenty of parking.

All types of food items are available at this restaurant at Etumanoor. Ambiance of the restaurant is maintained well. Staff are professional and service is fast. Rates are very reasonable for the quality of food, ambience and service. Overall highly recommended for good and satisfactory dining experience at Etumanoor. ♿️✅

One of the best hygenic hotel in kottayam..meals is superb and their fish curry is so tasty..2 variety of fishcurry availabe with meals..and all the side dishes are also very tasty..we have orderd their special tawa Prawns and beef curry..both are really good. Service is also great ..the security guard is also so helpful..will come again too

Best restaurant in ettumanoor!!😃 This new restaurant is a great addition to Ettumanoor and definitely one of the best in Kottayam. I've been there three times with my friends, and we've all been very impressed.😊 The food is fantastic. We've tried many different dishes, and most of them were excellent in taste and quality.👌🏽 The service is also very good, and the staff is friendly. The restaurant is spacious with a really nice atmosphere. My absolute favorite thing on their menu is the chocolate shake—it’s a must-try for all chocolate lovers! I would also highly recommend it to anyone with a sweet tooth.❤️ A few items, like the "Join the Q" mojito, were a bit overpriced and not as good.👎🏽 Yes, their price is higher than most of the other restaurants in town, but for that quality of the food, worth it.👍🏽 Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great dining experience.💯

We recently visited Calicut Notebook in Kottayam and had a truly fantastic experience! The food was delicious—we ordered the Nool Porotta, which was perfectly soft, and the Fish Mango Curry, which was absolutely divine. The curry had a wonderful balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors. Beyond the excellent food, the service was truly awesome. We want to give a special shout-out to our server, Adwaith, who was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made our meal even better.

The dishes reflect authentic Kerala flavours with a touch of finesse — consistently fresh, well-presented, and satisfying. Im a fan of chef vysakh’s cuisines. Their biriyani and kerala meals are top notch .A special mention to Mr. Anand, the General Manager,Deepthi,suneesh whose warm and welcoming hospitality always makes the experience even more delightful. Their friendly approach truly adds a personal touch to every visit. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates regional cuisine served with class.

Had Biriyani at Calicut notebook and it was pretty good! It’s the actual Kozhikode dum Biriyani with kaima rice (small rice grain) and not the long grain variant of fried rice that’s typically called Biriyani near this area at home catering events. The service is also pretty nice with friendly staff and a nice ambience.

Had an excellent experience at Calicut Notebook today! I tried their Ghee rice and Cheswan Noodles, and both were absolutely delicious. The Ghee rice with chicken roast was packed with flavor, and the noodles had just the right amount of spice. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was incredibly friendly. If you're craving authentic Kerala food, I highly recommend this spot. Can't wait to return!
