Cascada Elysiana

Íncreible lugar y su anfitriona super amable. ¡Muy recomendable! Hemos estado pasando el día con mis hijos de 5 y 3 años y ha sido estupendo. Un lugar único, acceso muy cuidado y fácil para los peques.

Beautiful place and kind hosts! The room was amazing, new AC and not the old ones you see in other hotels. We had a nice balcony with a bar and a small kitchen equipped with stove, sink, dishes and coffee machine. Dinner and breakfast were both very tasty! They have like a whole village inside a jungle with a lot of trails between them to explore. The waterfall was spectacular! We went to swim before breakfast and it was a dream! We were alone and had all to ourselves. I'm a bird photographer and found some nice birds too. Just bring a mosquito repellent (for the trails or when sitting on the balcony). Price was great. What else? They have a very friendly cat that came to visit us in the room. We have a great time.

The room was clean. Food was amazing and healthy. We stayed for 3 days and it was rainning most of the time. But we liked the smell of rain forest. The surrounding was so refreshed with the waterfall on site. It is ideal if you seek for a peaceful retreat.

Stayed here for 10 days and it was so lovely! Lorena and Aurora are incredible hosts and the waterfall is a really beautiful place to visit. The entire resort is serene, peaceful, and relaxing. The beds are comfortable and the rooms/houses are kept very clean. The resort is also home to an adorable dog and really friendly cat named Papas 😻 The one downside is if you do not have a car it is a bit of mission to get here, but the mangers here assist with this - they do have some reasonably priced taxi numbers to help you get to the remote location from the Platanillo bus stop or other places. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a unique experience and a quiet relaxing spot. Perfect for a romantic getaway or even hosting a Yoga or Mindfulness retreat.

Wonderful place, calm and quiet! One of my favourites during our 3 weeks stay in Costa Rica. The bungalow felt new, super clean with a comfortable bed, AC, big balcony and cool bathroom! I loved the waterfall, the territory and restaurant. Actually loved everything! Very nice and welcoming hosts!

Wow! What a beautiful and special place I am so grateful to have found! The price is so reasonable and everything was lovely. The grounds are so well kept and the nature all around is so serene. We had the pleasure of staying at Casa Chacruna on the property and it was wonderful. Super comfortable bed, 2 hammocks outside to relax and look at the beautiful view, including a waterfall right in the distance that you can walk to and lay down in the water! The outdoor shower is such a cool experience. There’s a market that is a short walk away that’s so convenient. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Increíble tanto el lugar y la anfitriona Lorena, suelo ir allí con mi pareja, porque es un lugar muy tranquilo y romántico, que te transmite mucha tranquilidad y mucha paz. Los senderos y el río son maravillosos dignos de pasar un día completo allí en soledad, con la familia, con la pareja o con los amigos!!!

We had a great stay in and can fully recommend this to everyone. You stay in the middle of the jungle. Fantastic experience in a comfy room. Just some mosquito protection would be nice to be able to open the door/windows even in the evening. The private waterfall was a incredible.

Un lugar mágico, ya sólo el camino hasta allí es una maravilla y, cuando llegas, Lorena te atiende con mucho amor y mucho cariño, siempre atenta a que estés lo mejor posible y no te falte de nada. El lugar tiene unos senderos muy bonitos y el río y la Cascada son ESPECTACULARES. Perfecto para el baño y para pasar un rato relajado y conectar con la naturaleza. 100% recomendado!!! :) Vamos siempre que podemos! Gracias Lorena por tu ayuda siempre!

Wir haben eine Nacht im Bungalow "Puma" übernachtet. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und die Lage im Wald ist ganz schön. Aber es gab kein warmes Wasser, kein Moskitonetz, unser Badezimmer, welches draußen lag, war von einem anderes Bungalow einsichtig und die Bezahlung mit Visa Kreditkarte hat nicht funktioniert, weshalb wir mit Bargeld bezahlen müssten. An unseren 2 Kreditkarte kann es nicht gelegen haben, weil wir davor und am nächsten Tag ohne Problem an der Tankestelle/Supermarkt bezahlen konnten. Ich würde den Aufwand um das Hotel zu erreichen (Schotterpiste und sehr abgelegen) nicht nochmal auf mich nehmen. Update: Laut Inhaber hatten wir den "most basic room" gebucht gehabt. Ich wunder mich jedoch das diese Zimmer bei Booking.com als " Deluxe Bungalow mit Gartenblick" beschrieben wird. Da erwartet man denke ich wenigstens warmes Wasser. Unsere beide Kreditkarten hatten kein Limit und haben die letzten Tage weiterhin ohne Probleme funktioniert. Deshalb rate ich jedem Bargeld mitzuführen, wenn man nicht 30 Minuten runter zur Küste fahre möchte um Geld am ATM zu ziehen.

The place is so beautiful and the people here are so kind! The trails are gorgeous and the pools and waterfall are very refreshing. Service here is amazing!! Loved it here, 100% recommend.

Es un lugar muy lindo, busca estar en armonía con la naturaleza, ser limpio y disminuir el impacto de las personas que visitan. La catarata es muy bonita, la caminata es corta, pero tal vez un poquito técnica. El lugar es limpio, acogedor, las personas que trabajan allí son muy amables. El desayuno es muy rico. Lo recomiendo, volvería.

Wow. We came upon this place by accident as it was close to our Airbnb outside Platanillo. It was one of those solitary places and experiences I’ll always remember. Magical is the best word I can use to describe it. Every single person we came across was caring and genuine. They have a variety of accommodations from glamping tents with bathrooms to a luxury house with its own pool. On-site yoga and an amazing little bar and restaurant. The waterfall is unreal but just as amazing are the various pools of crystal clear water that form around the waterfall. The hikes arrive the property are otherworldly( not to mention we didn’t encounter any other humans). We’d planned to visit Elysiana and then Nayuhuaca on the same day, but once we got to the former we forgot about the latter entirely. We so regretted not having discovered Cascada Elysiana sooner as it was more or less the same price as our Airbnb but no comparison. I’m already planning my next CR trip just to stay there.

The owners and caretakers were all amazing! One of the owners took the time to lead us through the trails to show us the overlook for the waterfall and also took us directly to the waterfall. Myself and my friends were there only ones there, so we were able to really enjoy the natural beauty and serenity at this location. Taker the time to visit and stay at this location! You will love the experience!

La catarata muy linda. La calle es lastre (5km aprox) pero en buen estado. La caminata hacia la cascada son 10min aproximadamente. Las piedras del río son muy resbalosas por eso hay que caminar con cuidado. El único defecto es que no hay duchas para luego de visitar la cascada y por el calor de la zona uno necesita bañarse. El precio es accesible 3mil colones. La atención es muy linda, nos mostraron las cabañas donde quedarse a dormir(yo no me quede) pero pronto volveré.

The landscape & trails are well kept, the accommodations are amazing & the Waterfall is incredible. 20 minutes to Lovely Dominical at the Beach The food at the lodge is delicious, healthy, and the presentation is beautifully enticing!

Well kept beautiful grounds and walkway. Takes 15 to 30 minutos to get to the waterfall depending on your pace. It's an easy walk but with some moderately inclined natural stairs, so keep that in mind depending on your age physical condition (knees). The waterfall is beautiful but a little more about watching than diving in. You could get wet but it's not too swim friendly. My wife and I spent about 3 hours total on the property and we felt that was plenty to explore, take some pictures and recharge the batteries.

Un lugar excepcional con mucha belleza. Tuvimos un problema con nuestro coche y el personal nos colaboró y ayudó a resolverlo. Bellos senderos para caminar e impresionante catarata. Mágico, sin lugar a dudas.

Really beautiful place in the jungle. You really get to experience the beauty of the nature while staying in a cute and comfy glamping tent! The food was simple but good and much more convenient than always going into one of the nearby towns. Super friendly staff and owner. Would recommend to anyone who loves nature!
