Nach dem Rundgang durch das Schloss haben wir uns die Kathedrale angesehen. Von außen wirkt sie nicht so spektakulär, doch wenn man das Innere betritt, ändert sich dieser Eindruck. Besonders der erhöhte Altar sticht hervor und lenkt die volle Aufmerksamkeit auf das Marienbild im Zentrum. Daneben fand ich auch die Orgel sehr beeindruckend. Das sollte man auf jeden Fall gesehen haben.

On your trip to Madrid a must see spot to spend time is the Cathedral. The temple is truly a unique concept due to the length of time it took to build it; started at the end of the 19th century and was completed in the 20th century. It took 110 years to complete and it really is a masterpiece. I really can’t do it justice as I have visited many cathedrals in Europe and North America and I have never experienced one as unique as this one. The influences from wars, political nightmares and catholic influences in Spain have really shaped the architecture and feel of this magnificent Cathedral. Take the time and spend a few hours admiring the art, design and most importantly to pray and feel at peace.

A truly memorable visit to the Almudena Cathedral! The building itself is striking — a beautiful mix of styles with impressive stained-glass windows and a peaceful interior that feels both grand and welcoming. I really enjoyed exploring the cathedral and learning about its history and art. If you have time, I recommend going up to the dome and museum (small fee) for wonderful views over the Royal Palace and the city — definitely worth it. Being right next to the Royal Palace makes it a perfect stop during a day of sightseeing in Madrid

Superbe et récente cathédrale à ne pas louper en visite à Madrid. Les plafonds sont magnifiques. J’ai visité celle-ci un dimanche en fin de journée et ça ne grouillait pas de monde, j’ai pu tranquillement et gratuitement (même si il est demandé de verser 1€) ma visite. Pas besoin de réserver.

This cathedral is well worth visiting, with very little by way of queueing to enter (entrance via the side, not via the main entrance opposite the Palace.) Of particular interest is the very beautiful painted ceiling. Whist neoclassical on the outside, has a more gothic interior. There are also some very beautifully carved and painted niches. I would also recommend cussing the crypt, which can be accessed via a separate external entrance at the rear.

Jej budowę rozpoczęto w 1883 roku, jednak z powodu wojen, zmian politycznych i problemów finansowych trwała ona ponad 100 lat. Katedra została ostatecznie ukończona i poświęcona w 1993 roku przez papieża Jana Pawła II. Jest to jedyna hiszpańska katedra konsekrowana przez papieża poza Rzymem. Architektonicznie świątynia łączy różne style: • neoklasycystyczną fasadę (dopasowaną do sąsiedniego Pałacu Królewskiego), • neogotyckie wnętrze, • neoromańską kryptę inspirowaną średniowiecznymi kościołami. Katedra jest poświęcona Matce Bożej z Almudeny, patronce Madrytu. W jej wnętrzu znajduje się czczona figura maryjna, a sama świątynia pełni ważną rolę religijną, państwową i symboliczną, będąc miejscem uroczystości kościelnych oraz wydarzeń związanych z hiszpańską monarchią.

This cathedral was built to be the most majestic in Europe. Its interior is beautiful and the views from outside are stunning. Cost around sunset to really enjoy them.

La Santa Iglesia de Santa María de la Almudena, más conocida simplemente como Catedral de la Almudena, está situada frente al Palacio Real en Madrid, sobre la colina donde se supone se ubicaron los primeros centros de poder de Madrid La catedral de la Almudena (patrona de la ciudad), es el principal templo de la archidiócesis y fue consagrada por el Papa Juan Pablo II en 1993. Es un hermosos edificio visible desde todo el costado occidental de la ciudad al estar sobre la colina que domina el valle del Río Manzanares. Su arquitectura destaca por su mezcla de estilos: exterior neoclásico, interior neogótico y cripta Neorrománica, pero el conjunto es delicado y de gran altura y belleza interior y exterior. En ella se casaron los actuales reyes de España y en su cripta (visita le) se conservan los restos de mandatarios y personalidades de la ciudad y algunas reliquias admirables como el sarcófago medieval de San Isidro, santo y Patrono de Madrid. El acceso al templo es gratuito si no interrumpes las ceremonias o actos oficiales. A mí me pareció un templo hermoso y tranquilo merece la pena verlo desde el patio junto al palacio como por el costado y el interior. Como curiosidad la orientación de la catedral es norte-sur, inusual en la tradición cristiana. No te pierdas de los detalles, en días y horarios tranquilos puedes subir al altar y ver a la Almudena (evitar días festivos). No os perdáis los detalles de las puertas de bronce, maravillosamente decoradas con la vida de San Isidro y del cristianismo de la ciudad

Es un sitio histórico con valor para la ciudad, aunque la experiencia que te ofrece es muy pobre. No recomiendo ingresar al museo, no lo vale, mucho menos por el valor de 8 Euros, además, no podrás tomar fotografías. Lo mejor es ingresar a la catedral, es mejor y es gratuíto hasta el momento. Es una parada obligatoria aunque si la saltas, no te perderás de mucho.

Local lindíssimo, com enorme valor histórico e cultural. Os vitrais e as pinturas são verdadeiramente impressionantes, criando um ambiente único e marcante. Um espaço que transmite grandeza e serenidade ao mesmo tempo.

Hermosa Catedral. Se abona un euro para ingresar. Se puede subir a la terraza con la entrada al museo que sale 6 euros. Se ven lindas vistas del Palacio Real y de Madrid.

La Cattedrale dell’Almudena mi ha davvero sorpreso: da fuori sembra imponente ma relativamente sobria, mentre all’interno rivela uno stile moderno, vivace e completamente diverso rispetto alle grandi cattedrali gotiche europee. Le volte colorate, le linee pulite e l’atmosfera luminosa creano un contrasto che non ti aspetti e che la rende unica nel suo genere. La vista dalla cupola è splendida e permette di ammirare il Palazzo Reale da una prospettiva privilegiata. Anche la cripta è affascinante, molto più classica e suggestiva rispetto al resto della struttura. Non è la cattedrale più famosa d’Europa, ma proprio per questo colpisce: è diversa, particolare e ricca di dettagli moderni che la rendono una piacevole sorpresa nel cuore di Madrid. Un luogo che merita assolutamente una visita.

Bellissima per i colori delle vetrate e i colori chiari del marmo. Le cupole sono dipinte con colori meravigliosi. Consiglio di vederla associata alla visita del Palazzo Reale

Aunque es la catedral de Madrid, la capital de España lo cierto es que no es una obra de arte en sí misma. Sí, su perfil se recorta de forma majestuosa según te acercas a la ciudad desde Aravaca, cogiendo la M30 en paralelo a la casa de campo pero ahí se acaba lo grandioso. No es la catedral de Burgos ni la de León ni mucho menos la de Salamanca por lo que es una catedral. A secas, secas. Esta al lado del Palacio Real de Madrid y tiene capillas ricamente adornadas como corresponde a una iglesia de su porte pero insisto. No es una maravilla. Más al contrario pasa por ser discreta y como mucho mediana. Aprovechar el paseo desde la zona de Plaza de España y Gran Vía es obligado. Eso sí merece la pena. Ir desde el paseo de Rosales por el recorrido establecido o bien descender desde Gran Vía o calle Princesa para luego girar a la izquierda y llegar a la calle Bailen para encontrarte primero el Palacio Real a la derecha o los jardines de los reyes godos a la izquierda y finalmente la catedral. En resumen, es lo que es. Para mi? Compensa girar a la izquierda contemplar las estatuas de los reyes y perderse hacia la zona de Opera donde está el Teatro Real. Antes sw encuentra la fundación del Santander de Paloma O shea, mujer de Don Emilio donde se pueden ver conciertos gratuitos de música clásica y el teatro de la ópera de Madrid, etc etc

However, the large number of visitors made it hard to slow down and fully absorb the interior details. Overall, Almudena Cathedral is a significant cultural and religious landmark in Madrid. While the New Year crowds can be overwhelming, the cathedral’s architecture and setting still make the visit worthwhile.

Una delle chiese più maestose di Madrid 🕍, proprio di fronte al Palazzo Reale 🏤. Anche solo da fuori colpisce per la facciata imponente e la posizione panoramica che domina la città. E che belli gli interni! Luminosi, moderni e colorati rispetto ad altre cattedrali spagnole, offrono un bel contrasto con il fascino antico dei dintorni. Un luogo ideale per fare una sosta tranquilla dopo aver visitato il Palacio Real, magari per godersi anche la vista dal piazzale antistante 🌆
