Charpa Bridge is located on the route between Athirapally and Vazhachal. A beautiful waterfall sits right beside the bridge, and because of the road's curve and available parking, many travelers stop here. The scenery is stunning, making it an excellent spot for a short break during your trip. However, be mindful of the many monkeys in the area; keep a close eye on your food and belongings. We visited in December when the weather was hot and the skies were clear, but the water flow was quite low. For the best experience, it is highly recommended to visit during the monsoon season when the falls are in full glory.

Charpa Bridge is located on the Athirapally to Vazhachal route. There is a small waterfall beside the bridge, so many vehicles stop here because of the curve and the parking area. The scenery is very nice, and it’s a good place to take a short break during the trip. There are lots of monkeys around, so be careful with food and belongings.

Charpa Waterfall, located near Athirappilly on the Athirappilly–Valparai route, is a scenic roadside waterfall surrounded by dense forest. It looks especially stunning during the monsoon, with water cascading powerfully over rocks and creating a cool, misty atmosphere. Easily accessible and perfect for a quick photo stop, it’s a refreshing halt before or after visiting Athirappilly Waterfall

Located above the Athirapally Waterfall, Charpa waterfall is a very beautiful, scenic waterfall visible on the road. Also there is no ticket charged for visiting it. Only issue is, it always is crowded by Monkeys. Be cautious while visiting it.

Charpa Waterfalls is a breathtaking stopover on the Athirappilly–Vazhachal route in Kerala. Nestled amidst lush greenery, this seasonal cascade offers a refreshing escape into nature’s beauty. During the monsoon months, the waterfall comes alive with a roaring flow, spraying cool mist onto the roadside and creating a magical atmosphere for travelers. What makes Charpa special is its accessibility – you don’t need to hike or trek; the falls are right by the road, making it an easy and worthwhile stop for families, nature lovers, and photographers. The sound of rushing water combined with the surrounding forests creates a calming experience, perfect for a short break on the way to Athirappilly or Vazhachal Falls. If you’re visiting Kerala’s famous waterfalls, don’t miss Charpa. It may be smaller compared to its neighbors, but its charm lies in its raw, untamed beauty and the way it blends seamlessly with the landscape. A quick stop here is sure to leave you refreshed and mesmerized. 🌿💦 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Charpara waterfalls - between athirapalli and vazhachal falls...a scenic place. During the rainy season July - September the flow is high. People can use the flyover bridge to walk-view- click pics. Close to nature as the place is green and the sound of the falls and the splashes on your face - refreshing and brings calmness .

Waterfall present on the roadside just few mins away from Vazhachal waterfalls. There is no entry ticket required. Its directly visible from the roadside. There is some construction work going on in the overbridge for visitors and its still not opened yet. Waterfall looks spectacular. Time it during the rainy season and there would be good waterfall. One cannot take a bath here Even this place was insanely crowded on Sunday afternoon. It was difficult just to take a decent pic. People were hoarding here. No official place to park, but there are empty spots nearby to park though

During the monsoon, Charpa Waterfall bursts into life—its spray dazzling and its roar audibly thrilling. Ideal for a short but memorable stop between Athirappilly and Vazhachal, the falls lie right beside the highway—no trek needed. Note however, that during low-flow months the waterfall dries up, and the rocks around can be dangerously slippery when water is high. Facilities are sparse, but the surrounding greenery, misty ambiance, and peaceful atmosphere make it a delightful detour for travelers who appreciate natural beauty off the beaten path.

Along the route to Vazhachal you can see and experience this wonderful waterfall "Charpa". No ticket needed here, it has been maintained well by the government with a bridge for experiencing the view. Best spot for tourists and family. Recommend visiting during weekdays so you can enjoy peace.

Charpa Waterfalls is a small but beautiful spot along the road near Athirappilly. During the monsoon season, it looks stunning and the water flows right beside the road, making it easy to view without much walking. However, it’s not very big and outside the rainy season the flow is quite less, so the experience depends on timing. A nice stopover if you’re visiting Athirappilly or Vazhachal

Charpa Falls is a waterfall located in Athirappilly panchayath in Thrissur district of Kerala. Located on the west-flowing Chalakudy River, this waterfall lies in between the more famous Athirappilly Falls and Vazhachal Falls.[1] It is a popular stopover for tourists who are visiting the Athirappilly and Vazhachal Falls. It is located close to the road,[2] and during monsoon months (June to August), the water splashes onto the road.[3] During the dry season, the water stops flowing.

Super waterfalls. This impressive waterfall cascades from about 70 feet above and lies in between the famous Athirappilly and Vazhachal waterfalls in Thrissur District of Kerala India. The source of this beautiful fall is from River Chalakuddy, which flows with great speed and moves along the roadside. The Charpa falls is present at a distance of nearly 60 kms from Thrissur and looks magnificent in the monsoon. The damp clouds when hover above the waterfalls, the surroundings become exceptionally beautiful and enchanting. Safe and Active during Rainy season.Danger During Heavy Rainfalls. It's probably sighting elephant on the way . Can't take bath in this falls since it's Passing one. Monsoon hits Kerala twice, the first period starts from June to August and the second from October to December. The flow of water increases to a great extent and its water moves to the roads during the raining period. The Charpa fall is frequently visited by a large number of tourists and nature lovers, who often stop here to witness the exquisite beauty of the place.

Charpa Falls is a hidden gem on the Chalakudy–Athirappalli route, often overlooked yet unforgettable. Cascading right beside the roadside, the waterfall is most breathtaking during the monsoon, when sheets of water tumble with force, drenching travelers in its mist. Unlike the grandeur of Athirappalli, Charpa offers an intimate, close-up encounter with Kerala’s wild beauty — you can feel the spray, hear the thunder, and stand just a few steps away from nature’s raw power. It’s not a place to linger long, but it’s the kind of stop that leaves you refreshed and awed on your journey through Thrissur’s lush landscapes.
