Amazing historical hidden gem in the heart of Byblos. Located directly on the mina, this place is truly special. I’m always passionate about finding authentic places like this around the world, and this one has an incredible history. Everywhere on the walls, you’ll see photo posters of Lebanese, Arab, and international celebrities who have visited this place. The food was great, really fresh and tasty, and the service was excellent. We also had the chance to meet the owner, who kindly took us on a short visit to their museum and shared the history of Pepe and the restaurant. It was a great experience, and I will definitely come back again and again.

The place amazing. Holds history with magnificent view. The food very tasty and fresh. But i noticed that it offers a very limited selection of lebanese mezza. Presentation can be fancier. Needs renovation. Place was nearly empty for a sunday lunch. Staff nice but feels like beginners... lost and do not write the order. Quality/price not fair honestly it is an overpriced place. 28$ for 3 grilled shish only is a rip off honestly.

There I was in Byblos with my friend Jacqui celebrating our birthdays and introduced to Pépé ’s Restaurant by our chic and charismatic Lebanese friend, the ultimate compatriot one could hope for in sharing such an adventure. When a fish on a plate was presented to us at the table with startling simplicity, ungarnished and unadorned except for what one may imagine to still be glistening drops of sea water on it , Jacqui had the perfect description ; “ It’s as if the ( ancient ) Phoenicians just took this fish straight out of the sea onto the plate “ This is the beauty of Lebanon, a continuity with the past all around one and finding simple things to be sublime.

Chez Pepe is a great spot for lunch. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We had a wonderful time, and the highlight was definitely the dessert they surprised us with after our meal it was such a nice touch! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are super friendly.

Most beautiful place, spot and atmosphere. The food and overall is pretty good. The service and management are a bit off, I’ve visited with cousins the last two times and felt like the service can be nicer and more welcoming, they won’t come back but I will give this place another chance if the management likes to be more respectful for such a beautiful experience in this historical setting.

If you are in Byblos don’t miss a change to visit this authentic restaurant and museum. This place has rich history and you will enjoy every moment there. I will not share a lot of details, just some facts: Frank Sinatra was there, manager Milek is amazing, service is great and food is delicious. The real feeling of “good old Byblos”

It has a beautiful view of Byblos Mina. The food is good, and the staff are very nice and professional, but it is bit pricey. I highly recommend a visit if you are looking for a good atmosphere and a beautiful view in Byblos. 🏖️🌅

a true & criminally underrated hidden gem with exceptional quality in every bite - must visit for all passing by Byblos. the traditional lebanese fishermen restaurant feel and the beach sunset views are a plus.

Very nice and calm place near the port of Jbeil. The food and the smell of the food makes you order more than you can eat. The prices are affordable and the service is fast. The taste of the fish feels so fresh. Would recommend it to anyone passing near the Port. You sit very close to the port of Jbeil and the view is like a beautiful drawing.

Restaurante muy bien situado y con muy buenas vistas al puerto. Acogedor y muy bien ambientado, con fotos por las paredes de famosos que han comido ahí. Con respecto a la comida, hay que destacar que no me pareció muy buena, teniendo en cuenta el precio de los platos y lo pequeñas que eran las raciones. He comido comida libanesa mucho mås rica en restaurantes mucho más baratos.

Chez Pépé, in Jbeil-Byblos has some of the best authentic seafood along with lebanese dishes. The freshness and variety of the food is unmatched especially the calamari, shrimps, octopus and the salads. Other than the great quality food and the amazing view and atmosphere, you have access to a small museum. Highly recommended 🍴🤍

The restaurant is nicely places in center of byblos with a nice look on the port. The servants were agreable and nice. However, i am putting 3 stars for the extremly high price compared to other restaurants in lebanon. Also the chef who chose the fishes to us was like very fast and he tried to intimidate us without really asking what do we want (we wanted to know more about the fishes but he directly weighted them and kind of tell us thats all folks, without telling the price 800000 lebanese pound equivalent to 27 dollars per fish of 800g weight). He just wants to sell the fishes. The "abou sen" fish was very delicious however the otber one (lokkos probably)was spongy or not very well cooked (althouhh am not a fish expert!). The french fries (chips) arrived lots before the fish which made them cold thus we ordered other plate of fries. Over all you can go but prepare well your pocket

Jedná se o známý podnik, který často navštěvují známé osobnosti. Prostory restaurace jsou opravdu krásné a z terasy je nádherný výhled na přístav. Překvapivé bylo , že v pátek večer byla restaurace skoro prázdná. Třeba jen náhoda nebo to možná vysvětluje naše další zkušenost. Obsluhující číšník nám nejprve ochotně spojil dva stoly dohromady, aby naše parta mohla sedět pohromadě. Ve chvíli kdy se dozvěděl, že nebudeme jíst a dáme si jen pivo a kávu, tak v podstatě ztratil zajem. Těšili jsme se na pravou tureckou kávu a dostali jsme úplně obyčejnou kávu (jakou vám u nás udělalii v té nejzapadlejší hospodě), kde jediné dobré na ní bylo to ,že jsme jí dostali v šálku a ne v papírovém kelímku. Pivo jsme si objednali místní (už ověřené) tam nebylo žádné překvapení. Na část objednávky zapomněli a museli jsme se připomínat. Na dotaz na WiFi nám bylo řečeno, že zrovna nefunguje a při placení nám bylo řečeno, že kartou nelze. A to tam měli terminál, který byl očividně funkční. To, že cena za jedno pivo a jednu kávu, byla pořádně přepálená, to ani nemusím zmiňovat. Vzhledem k umístění restaurace jsme s tím počítali. Ale poskytnutá služba tomu naprosto neodpovídala. Jsem rád, že jsem měl možnost podnik navštívit (každá zkušenost dobrá), ale podruhé bych to neudělal.

Excellent service, view/location, food, and ambience. Tried all the restaurants on the bay and this one is the best. Highly recommended.

Gutes Essen zu fairen Preisen kommt ist ein bisschen versteckt aber ein schöner Garten mitten in einem schönen Garten. Fleisch Speisen etwas erhöht aber ansonsten alles okay

Just wow. A historical building with a spectacular view of the port in a very historic city. The food in the restaurant is fantastic. The salads, the fish and the drinks do Lebanon justice. And a a bonus, the original owner of the restaurant, Pépé was an art collector. He has built a museum on site, right by the restaurant filled with finds from different eras of the area. This place is a must for a delicious meal after a long day in Byblos.

Byblos emblematic's cafe/resto with a museum inside and the best view to the port. The thing i loved about this place is that they don't have Arguile :)
