Visited Chowmahalla Palace with my wife and daughter, and we had a wonderful experience. The palace is beautifully maintained and offers a fascinating glimpse into the grandeur and lifestyle of the Nizams. The architecture, royal courtyards, vintage cars, and historical artifacts are truly impressive. The atmosphere is peaceful, and there are plenty of great spots for family photos. My daughter especially enjoyed exploring the large open spaces and learning about the history of the palace. The staff were helpful, and the overall organization of the site was good. It's a must-visit place in Hyderabad for anyone interested in history, heritage, and architecture. We spent a few enjoyable hours here and left with many beautiful memories. Highly recommended for families and tourists alike. 😊

Chowmahalla Palace is absolutely stunning, but be prepared—it’s a huge property, so expect to do quite a bit of walking. Carrying an umbrella is a good idea if you’re visiting during the day, though there are plenty of shaded areas and lawns where you can sit and take a break. The palace has a small canteen serving basic snacks, ice creams, and cold drinks, and there’s also a museum shop near the exit if you’d like to pick up souvenirs. The vintage car museum is worth a visit as well. One thing that stood out to me is that the palace doesn’t feel as historically ancient as many other palaces in India. Several halls have been converted into museum spaces, and you’ll notice portraits and exhibits dating from around 2005–2010, giving it a more contemporary museum feel. That said, the overall campus is incredibly beautiful. The floral trees, well-maintained gardens, elegant fountains, and grand architecture make it a peaceful place to wander and spend a few hours. If you enjoy photography and leisurely walks, it’s definitely worth visiting.

Visited Chowmahalla Palace and spent almost 5 hours exploring — and honestly, it was worth every minute. The entry fee is ₹130 per person, which feels very reasonable considering how much there is to see. The grand hall with its chandeliers is breathtaking, and the entire palace complex is beautifully maintained. There’s also a vintage car museum inside that adds a unique charm to the royal experience. They have a small store inside (near the entry gate) where you can buy snacks and drinks, which is helpful if you’re spending a few hours there. It’s peaceful, spacious, and perfect for history lovers and photography enthusiasts. A must-visit when in Hyderabad.

A great place to take a break from the busy city life of Hyderabad and spend a few relaxing hours. The palace is huge and beautifully maintained, with impressive architecture and rich history. The collection of vintage cars is a highlight and enjoyable to see. Overall, the place has a charming old world atmosphere and a wonderful vintage vibe. The only downside is that the ticket price feels a bit on the higher side and could be more affordable. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit.

Chowmahalla Palace was one of the highlights of my Hyderabad trip. The palace is beautifully maintained, and every section gives you a glimpse into the lifestyle of the Nizams. From the grand Durbar Hall with its magnificent chandeliers to the vintage car collection and well-kept courtyards, there's plenty to explore. I really enjoyed walking through the different buildings and learning about the history behind them. The architecture is elegant, and the palace has a calm atmosphere despite being a popular tourist attraction. There are plenty of spots for photography, so keep your camera ready. I'd recommend setting aside at least 1–2 hours to explore the entire property at a relaxed pace. If you enjoy history, heritage, or architecture, Chowmahalla Palace is definitely worth visiting and is one of the must-see attractions in Hyderabad.

I visited the Chowmahalla Palace to learn more about the history of the Nizams who once ruled Hyderabad. The palace complex is quite large, consisting of multiple mahals (palaces), courtyards, and open spaces. Inside, visitors can find numerous photographs of the Nizam rulers and their families, along with displays of historical weapons, guns, swords, royal furniture, and other artifacts from that era. While these exhibits may be fascinating for history enthusiasts, I personally did not find them particularly engaging. The palace grounds require a fair amount of walking between different sections and buildings. Although the structures are large and historically significant, I felt they lacked the charm and architectural beauty that I have seen or imagined in some other South Indian palaces. One moment that stood out to me was standing on a palace balcony overlooking a pond. It made me imagine how peaceful it must have been centuries ago—watching the moonlight reflect on the water while rulers and nobles lived within these walls. That feeling of stepping back into history was more memorable than the exhibits themselves. Overall, Chowmahalla Palace is worth visiting once for its historical importance and to understand the legacy of the Nizams. However, if you’re not particularly interested in royal history, old photographs, or historical artifacts, you may find the experience less exciting than expected. Not worth the visit.

Chowmahalla Palace was one of those places that pleasantly surprised me. In a city known for its food and bustling streets, this palace stands as a beautiful reminder of Hyderabad’s royal legacy. The architecture is simply breathtaking. From the grand courtyards and elegant arches to the intricate detailing and magnificent chandeliers, every corner reflects the opulence of the Nizam era. The Durbar Hall, in particular, is stunning and makes you pause for a moment to imagine the grandeur that once filled these halls. What I loved most was how well-preserved the palace is. Walking through the property feels like stepping back in time, with vintage cars, royal artifacts, and beautifully maintained gardens adding to the charm. If you’re someone who enjoys history, architecture, or simply exploring places with character, Chowmahalla Palace is absolutely worth a visit. It’s not just a monument—it’s a glimpse into a royal past that helped shape the identity of Hyderabad. A place where history, elegance, and heritage come together beautifully. ✨

If you are visiting Hyderabad, do not miss Chowmahalla Palace. While everyone flocks to Charminar and Golconda Fort, this place is an underrated gem that is incredibly well-maintained and peaceful. The highlight is undoubtedly the Khilwat Mubarak (the Grand Durbar Hall). Standing under the massive Belgian crystal chandeliers and looking at the marble Nizam throne is an absolute visual treat. The palace grounds are sprawling, featuring beautiful courtyards, vintage car collections (including a flawless 1912 Rolls-Royce), and galleries filled with royal garments, weapons, and exquisite crockery.

I have been to Hyderabad a couple of times before but never had to chance to visit this place. Its something! From the Persian Iranian style architecture to all the other amazing Arti facts it host. The whole palace is quite big and to enjoy it properly, you need atleast 2 hours. There is a souvenir and refreshments shop inside and considering the size, it’s good idea to carry water, even though there is a a dedicated spot near the entrance for drinking water. The vintage cars and buggy collection is a good look at how the ultra rich of that time moved in swag

This is a wonderful place and definitely one of the must-visit attractions when coming to Hyderabad. The site is rich in history, and it’s worth spending at least two hours to fully explore and appreciate it. You can see a wide range of exhibits, including royal family belongings, vintage cars, and spacious, impressive halls. We visited this place as part of a morning tour organized through our hotel with a local travel company. The tour included a visit to the fort as well as this palace, making it a very enjoyable and well-organized day. However, traffic in the area can be quite heavy since it is close to Charminar, so planning an early visit is a good idea.

Beautiful art and sculpture. 18th century Heritage. This was the residence of Nizam. The entire building was taken about 100 yrs to complete. This have four Mahal and this it is called Chowmahalla. The architecture shows the blend of Iranian, Persian and European style. The unique style of having many stairs during entry adopted from European culture. In 2010 it becomes UNESCO Heritage. This has many mahals, museums, royal cars, weapons and a durbar hall.

A wonderful place to explore the rich history of the Nizams! The palace is beautifully maintained and gives a glimpse into the royal lifestyle of the past. You can see an impressive collection of cutlery, traditional dresses, and swords on display, each telling its own story. One of the highlights is the vintage car collection — truly fascinating and well preserved. It’s a great spot for anyone interested in history and heritage. However, it does get quite crowded over weekends and holidays, so it’s better to plan your visit accordingly. Overall, a must-visit for tourists who want to learn more about the royal family and experience a piece of the past.

The palace grounds and courtyards are absolutely massive, and the architecture is incredibly beautiful with grand halls and stunning crystal chandeliers that show how the Nizams lived. One of the biggest highlights for me was the vintage car collection on display inside the complex—seeing those classic royal vehicles up close was really cool. There is also a great clock tower on the premises that adds to the historic charm. It is a well-maintained, majestic property that gives you a perfect look into royal history, they even have clock tower in the grounds.

I visited Chowmahalla Palace in April 2025 during my solo trip, and it was one of the most relaxing experiences of my journey. From the moment I entered, I felt a sense of calm that made it perfect for exploring alone. The place is very well-managed, and everything is organized in a way that makes moving around easy and comfortable. As a solo traveler, I enjoyed taking my time without any pressure. I walked through the open spaces, paused at different spots, and just soaked in the peaceful atmosphere. There are plenty of quiet areas where you can sit and take a break, which I really appreciated. It’s also a great place for photography, with clean surroundings and beautiful views in almost every corner. Even though I visited in April, the overall experience was pleasant thanks to the shaded sections and airy layout. It never felt too crowded, which added to the calm vibe. I felt safe and comfortable throughout my visit, which is important when traveling alone. The staff were polite and maintained good order, making the experience smooth. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a few hours peacefully. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, especially solo travelers looking for a calm and refreshing outing.

Chowmahalla Palace is a beautiful slice of Hyderabad history - built in the 18th century, it served as the official residence of the Nizam’s family and showcases royal architecture and courtyards. I enjoyed the view and the charming collection of antique vintage cars on display. Entry ticket was ₹150 and parking fee ₹20, which felt reasonable. Friendly staff, well-preserved interiors, and great photo opportunities - a must-visit for history lovers.

This is absolutely beautiful and amazing! The Main palace, Khilwat Mahal, has a stunning interior that will make you stand at the same point for a very long time appreciating the beauty. You get to see the ground floor and the first floor as well. Apart from that, there are amenities inside the grounds. At the entrance itself you have the restrooms, drinking water and a canteen. It opens at exactly 10 am. The other palaces aren’t open for public, but you can visit them from outside.
