We recently dined at Dhaba UP16 with fairly high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience did not live up to them. While the dhaba mushroom was genuinely good and stood out as the only satisfying dish, the rest of the meal was quite disappointing. The breads—including tandoori roti, butter naan, and stuffed naan—were unusually thin and lacked the softness and texture one typically expects from a dhaba-style meal. The kadahi paneer was overloaded with undercooked onions, which disrupted both the taste and balance of the dish. Similarly, the paneer butter masala lacked richness and depth in its gravy, making it fall short of standard expectations. Another concern was the portion size, which felt inadequate considering the pricing. The overall value for money was not justified. Additionally, the ambiance and atmosphere did not enhance the dining experience enough to compensate for the shortcomings in food quality. In summary, apart from one good dish, the overall experience was underwhelming in terms of taste, portion size, and value. There is definitely room for improvement in both food preparation and overall dining experience.
