LALGHAT HAVELI , LALGHAT CAFE & RESTAURANT ( Hotel Lalghat, Lalghat Guest House)

This hotel is very bad the cleaness and hygiene is most worst ever we experience. There are no complementry beverages are nothing or very high a cup of tea is around 80₹ bad taste and low quality. There is no telephone in the room to order something only self service. At last I will say don't come to this hotel the worst hotel.

One random Rapido ride led us to this hotel, and it turned out to be a gem. We didn’t even need AC—the rustic vibe, cleanliness, and homely feel were more than enough. Plus, the lake is right next to it. Truly grateful to the driver who dropped us here. The only downside is that the restaurant isn’t open due to some issues, but the owner’s hospitality makes up for it. Everything is nearby—the popular shows are in the next building, City Palace is just 5 minutes away, and most major spots are close. If you’re visiting, I’d say give it at least a one-night stay. Prices are negotiable, but totally worth it.

Worst experience, food is not at all good in taste, staff is very rude and non-cooperative, service is very poor, place is very small so more than 6 peoples cannot sit over there.

The rooms and location were outstanding. But the service was really bad. There was no intercom for any requests. You have to go up and down to talk with the staff. The food was bad too. We ordered egg fried rice. You need to use a magnifying glass to search for eggs.

Pros: 1) Staff were responsive and behaviour was good. 2) Main pro about this property is, the hotel is situated to the lakes edge and has a great view of the lake. 3) There’s a restaurant at the top floor which serves good food at reasonable cost. Cons: 1) There’s no water heater to the individual room and there’s a water boiler which will be turned on only in the morning at some particular time. As the weather is damn cold and you can’t use cold water in the evening times. Not having a water heater is the main and most disadvantage. 2) Rooms look damn old and don’t feel worthy at all for the price spent, would never recommend anyone who wants a good interior ambience. 3) The towels and blankets didn’t feel clean and not good enough. 4) Only one old switch board to charge your phones and laptops and the other switch board came out of the place and wires were seen and scary to use. 5) Only one bulb LED light was working and the other bar light wasn’t working. 6) See the rooms first and only then pay if you’re okay with it.

Great place to experience some old style rustic haveli stay. Has amazing views from rooms and great outside seating locations.

Perfect ambiance.. Perfect View.. Perfect candle light feel.... Budget friendly... Food quality is also up to the mark... but you may find difficulty to search this place... you'll have to cross narrow stress... if you have four wheeler, you can not even image to go there... you have to park you vehicle approx 500 meter to the hotel... and need to take cab... I would say its Best place for the youngsters, couples, friends... One thing which was scary for me... there where more than 50 lizards on the walls..😂😂 and i really wanna visit this place again... but due to this reason I'll think again to visit...😅 Otherwise worth visiting place

It's a great experience, sitting on a rooftop restaurant n enjoying the view n eating your favourite dish at the same time. The ambience is very welcoming. Most importantly the food was splendid n the service was great too. In all an amazing place, should definitely be added in your bucket list while visiting the old city.

I strongly recommend this place ! We were there for three nights with one friend. We stayed in the dorm. And as it was during the low season we had the dorm for ourselves. Everything was really clean and felt really safe. The staff is really family-like, possibility to order some food (the french fries are amazing). Location is perfect and close to everything we wanted to see. And the amazing part is the rooftop, wonderful view on the lake ! And the building is really nice and open. After one month trip in India it was the best place !

I regret to say that our visit to this restaurant was marred by the owner's shockingly rude behavior. When we attempted to place our orders, the owner flatly denied us the opportunity to do so, without providing any valid explanation. The manner in which we were treated was nothing short of disrespectful and discourteous. As paying customers, we expected a basic level of courtesy, which was blatantly absent. Such an experience not only ruins the dining experience but also reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole. I strongly advise potential patrons to think twice before dining here, as the owner's behavior leaves much to be desired.

The hotel is by the late with great view though the bathrooms need serious maintenance and the serviceat the restaurant was a bit slow. Unfortunately, it was not as expected. We hope that the management will take our feedback into consideration and take action to make any improvements needed as the place has potential for improvement.

We enjoyed our stay here. Our room had a view of the lake, but it was better from the rooftop, where the sunsets over the city and lake were stunning. Room was clean, WiFi was good, and there was hot water. The location is perfect, close to the Haveli, the palace, and boat tours of the lake. The food available is OK, but there are lots of better restaurants nearby. Excellent option for the price.

We have booked 3 rooms for 5 adults and 6 children, after looking at the reviews but we found these rooms like staying for servant quarters. They don't even provide water in rooms. You have to take water bottles with you. No intercom. Even lights were not working properly in our room. The owner of the hotel is very much rude. We have to stay 1 more day in the same room. I will never suggest anyone to stay in this hotel.

J'ai séjourné dans une chambre ( qu'ils appellent vintage) pendant 3 jours en novembre 2023 ( 3000 inr par nuit). Bien sûr ce n'est pas le confort du Taj lake palace ou d'un de ces grands hôtels au bord du lac.... Mais c'est, pour un prix moindre, une chambre dont les murs sont en pierre ( la guest house est un véritable haveli) et surtout, dont la fenêtre ouvre juste au-dessus du lac. L'emplacement, je pense assez unique, justifie qu'on y reste quelques jours. Très agréable de s'asseoir au bord de la fenêtre particulièrement le matin quand le lac se réveille ! A part ça le service du restaurant sur le roof top est moyen, et c'est dommage mais l'hotel est à mon avis insuffisamment entretenu.

Definitely the best roof top view in the area. Tasty food, good service and polite staff. After checking multiple rooftops in Udaipur that one has the best view and it's usually the least crowded since it's not so easy to find.

My recent visit to this restaurant left me thoroughly disappointed. The owner's behavior was shockingly rude when we simply requested a table on the ground floor seating area. Not only did they deny us without any apology, but their attitude was downright disrespectful. It's astonishing that a place that prides itself on hospitality could treat customers with such discourtesy. I won't be returning, and I advise others to think twice before dining here.

Pros: 1.great location beside lake pichola. most of the tourist attraction are within 200-300 meters Cons: 1. Small room 2. stains on bed sheet. bathroom should have been cleaner 3.constant drilling noise for 2-3hours on second day of our stay, above our room

The location of the hotel is perfect. Its just beside the lake pinchola. One can have a breath taking view from the terrace. Feels like spending the whole night there. Even we could have the views from our room. You can get auto from the hotel. But cabs are 5 min walk away (as the alleys are narrow). Food is available and affordable. Owner is kind and always ready to help u out.
