I had a wonderful dining experience at Hakkai Restaurant, Al Khuwair. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The service was exceptional, and all the staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. A special thanks to Priyal and Ajay for their outstanding hospitality. They were professional, welcoming, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food and excellent service in Muscat! 😊🍽️💖

Had a great experience at Hakkai - Al Khuwair. The Schezwan Chicken Lollipop was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The Veg Fried Rice and Veg Chilly Garlic Noodles were also really tasty and well prepared. The staff was polite and served us well throughout the visit. The place has a good ambiance, clean setup, and a comfortable atmosphere. Definitely a nice spot for good food in Al Khuwair.

Hakkai has quietly become one of our most trusted dining spots in Muscat. We’ve visited six or seven times already, and that alone says everything — this is the kind of place you keep returning to because the food never disappoints. What we love most is that the restaurant doesn’t try too hard. It’s not overly fancy or pretentious — just really good Chinese, Asian, and Thai-inspired food that’s consistently satisfying. We’re not claiming authenticity or comparing it to traditional versions, but we genuinely love the flavours here. The menu is broad and reliable, with everything from soups and dumplings to noodles and Indo-Chinese favourites, all served in generous portions. Our personal must-orders: 🍗 Sweet CC Wings — perfectly balanced between sweet and savoury, and impossible to stop eating. 🍜 Spicy Thai Noodle Soup — rich, comforting, and packed with bold flavours. Great for spice lovers. 🍝 American Chop Suey — crispy noodles with that nostalgic sweet-and-tangy sauce done really well. 🥟 Chicken Steamed Dumplings — soft, juicy, and consistently excellent. The ambience is cosy and welcoming, making it perfect for casual dinners with family or friends. The Al Khuwair location next to Oman Bowling Centre also makes it very easy to find. Highly recommended if you enjoy flavour-packed Asian food in a relaxed setting. Seven visits in, and we still keep going back!

One of the Best Asian food place in Muscat Had an amazing dining experience at Hakkai Restaurant, Al Khuwair, Muscat! Absolutely loved the food and the overall vibe. We ordered the Mix Schezwan Fried Rice, Rainbow Dumplings, Hakkai Fiery Chicken, and Chicken Hakka Noodles — and honestly, everything was delicious. The standout dish for me was the Hakkai Fiery Chicken — truly top class! The presentation was beautiful and the taste was even better. A definite must-try for anyone visiting. The Mix Schezwan Fried Rice was also excellent — perfectly balanced flavours and very satisfying. The Chicken Hakka Noodles were equally good and complemented the meal really well. For desert which we tried their crispy honey noodle with ice cream, my kid loved it. And ot was something different. Also loved their Mango Mojito — super refreshing and a perfect drink to go with the meal. Special mention to Mr. Ajay, who attended to us — his service was very courteous, attentive, and professional. He really enhanced our dining experience. Overall, a fantastic place for great Asian food. Highly recommended — will definitely visit again!

Calling this dish “Thai Spicy Noodles Soup” is simply wrong. What I received was a small bowl of thick soup, closer to pumpkin soup than any Thai noodle dish. This is misleading, unacceptable, and shows a clear lack of understanding of Thai cuisine. I’m a Thai person living in Dubai, and during my holiday in Oman, I was craving Thai food. That’s why I chose to eat at this restaurant. I ordered “Thai Spicy Noodles Soup”, based on both the name and the photo shown on the menu. However, what I was served was completely different from what was advertised. Instead of a noodle soup, I received a small bowl of thick soup, more like pumpkin soup or some kind of generic creamy soup, with no resemblance to Thai noodle soup at all. What made the experience even worse was the attitude of the staff. Both the staff and the owner insisted that this dish was correct, despite it clearly not matching the menu description or photo. For me, this is unacceptable. The staff and owner are Indian, and I want to say this clearly: If you do not truly understand Thai food, you should not sell it as Thai food. Using photos taken from somewhere else and serving something completely different is misleading and dishonest. This is not just disappointing it is unprofessional, unethical, and frankly embarrassing. I had very low expectations already, but this experience was still shockingly bad. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for real Thai food.

While on vacation, I'm exploring a variety of cuisines from different cultures. Hakkai provided a postive experience with friendly staff member whom was inviting from the start. Also preparing and serving quality food. I ordered the hakka noodles with shirmp and it satisfied my pallet for Chinese food🍲. This intimate chinese restaurant is clean with a relaxing and cozy atmosphere, so dine in and enjoy yourself. I'm certain you will not leave disappointed and the portion size are good for the price. We had an incredible dinner featuring Vegrtrain's menu, but you must try Hakkai Restaurant in Al Khuwair—absolutely amazing food and flavours! Momo and Sizzler with Noodles were fantastic, and the Service Man, Mr Priyal, was exceptionally polite and attentive, making the experience even more delightful.

Food is not authentic and small portion, but excellent service. I was excited that I found this restaurant with high rating, unfortunately the super green Thai Green Curry was rather disappointing, and I got the wrong vege item because of some misunderstanding. I was starving, I asked if the portion is big enough while taking order and the manager said yes. Unfortunately the whole bowl of curry with 80% liquid and 10 tiny shrimps. I regretted immediately, why would I pay more when I can go any restaurant to get rice with dal? For the wrong vege item, the manager was kind enough to offer the replacement, but the stir-fried vege with burnt garlic, and he said it's supposed to be burnt.... i wanted to cry, seriously... it was my fault to eat Thai food in Omannnnnn... it should be illegal to open the restaurant without knowing how the food supposed to be prepared.😭 Tbh, it's just because I'm an Asian so my expectation was high. I still recommend every non-Asian to try. 😂

Really had a lovely experience here at Hakkai Al Khuwair, Muscat, Oman. Lovely Hospitality by MR Ajay and wonderful service by him. Food was really delicious and finger licking yum. Tried the dynamite shrimps, chicken spring rolls, chicken sizzler. All of them were awesome in taste. Also it was very sweet of him to give us a complimentary dessert which we found a really kind gesture from their end. Keep up the great work Hakkai. 👏🏻👏🏻❤️

The starters were quite good (we tried the threaded shrimp and rainbow dumplings) but the main course (mixed fried rice and schezuan chicken) was just average.

I ordered the crispy beef, mixed fried rice and chicken szechwan and all of the food delicious and tasty. Very authentic indo chinese meal. The Indian server from Kolkata who served me was great too. He knew the menu well. I will definately return if I ever visit Muscat again.

A Pan-Asian restaurant with inconsistent service and food quality Food: Must Try: Rainbow Chicken Dumplings – a great option for kids. Veg. Hakka Noodles, Dynamite Shrimps, and Exotic Vegetables in Hot Garlic Sauce are highly recommended. Passion Fruit Mojito and Rose Lime Mint Cooler are refreshing. Can Try Once: Pink Whisper Mojito and Paneer Sizzler (Rice/Noodle mix). Can Skip: Nasi Goreng Chicken – while the taste is good, the quality is disappointing. Kung Pao Chicken had tough pieces and was overloaded with peanuts. Ambiance: A decently spaced restaurant with average decor, offering a comfortable but unremarkable dining experience. Service: Service can be unpredictable – while the captains are sometimes prompt, they may also mess up orders or take longer than expected to serve food. Overall: With its mix of hits and misses, this may not be our first choice when craving Pan-Asian cuisine.

Despite arriving quite late, around 11:30 PM, we were warmly welcomed by the team even as they were preparing to close. The staff remained exceptionally professional, accommodating, and gracious throughout our visit. The food was remarkably fresh and beautifully prepared. Special thanks to Mr. Prea, whose kindness, attentiveness, and professionalism truly elevated our experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking quality Thai cuisine, especially for a late-night dining experience.

I am amaze to see best hospitality and best food here Hakkai restaurant Muscat. I will advise to every one visit this place enjoy there meal. And I really appreciate hole staff of Hakkai restaurant. Honestly, one of the restaurants I can confidently say provides consistently good food. Their beef cai wu is a must try. Their staff are really friendly and helpful. I'd say the only downside is the relatively long wait time, but you can always call and order in advance. Otherwise, really great food and I enjoyed almost every item I ordered on their menu.
