I had a wonderful stay at 50By Sea Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel extremely welcome. They were very friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. Their warm hospitality really made my experience special. The hotel itself was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The rooms were cozy and had everything needed for a relaxing stay. The location near the sea was beautiful and added to the peaceful atmosphere. The service throughout my stay was excellent. The staff paid attention to small details and ensured that guests felt comfortable at all times. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is very important to them. I truly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend 50By Sea Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing place with great service and friendly staff. I would definitely love to come back again in the future.

The location of this hotel was perfect, and the sea views from the rooms were amazing. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. There are also many Halal food options nearby, including a restaurant right downstairs. However, we had a major issue with the exchange rate. They charged us 316 LKR per USD when the bank rate was only 309 LKR. We complained about this, but they refused to adjust the bill. In our 10 days traveling around Sri Lanka, no other hotel charged such a high rate. It felt very unfair.

We had a fantastic stay in a very clean and neat suite. The staff was incredibly supportive and friendly throughout our visit. We loved the modern amenities, especially the fast Wi-Fi and the Smart TV loaded with Netflix, YouTube, and Prime. The views from both our room and the rooftop were breathtaking! The only minor downside is the sound of passing trains due to the nearby railway; it’s not a big deal for most, but something to note if you require absolute silence. Overall, a highly recommended experience!

I loved my stay at 50 by the Sea. I was allowed an early check in. The hotel manager Shehara provided helpful local guidance and she was always available over whatsapp. The view of the sea from the room is great. The view is even better from rooftop. The room and bathroom were well maintained and hygienic. The staff service could improve though. Overall, highly recommended for short and long term stays.

I stay at 50 By Sea for 2 days.it was such a good clean and safe place. They also have a nice rooftop. There service was good. Booking was placed by booking.com and it was worth for the price🩷

Great location with a beautiful view It’s a very nice place to stay with a beautiful view. Watching the sunset from the rooftop was truly amazing and made the overall experience very special. One thing to keep in mind is that the property is located on the main road, so it can get a bit noisy at times. However, since we stayed only for one night, the stunning view and the overall experience definitely made it worth it for

Wir waren für 3 Nächte in diesem Hotel. Wir sind vom Inhaber sehr freundlich empfangen worden und unser Zimmer war sehr sauber. Die Klimaanlage hat gut funktioniert und insgesamt hatten wir hier eine sehr gute Zeit. Im Zimmer gab es Kaffee, Tee und einen Kühlschrank. Es sind mehrere Supermärkte fußläufig zu erreichen und viele Restaurants. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand und die Aussicht aus unserem Zimmer war unschlagbar. Ein kleines Manko: Direkt gegenüber des Hotels verläuft eine Bahnstrecke, sodass es teilweise recht laut ist. Wir würden einen Aufenthalt aber definitiv empfehlen und würden immer wieder herkommen.

I recently visited Colombo for 5 days in October 2025 and stayed at 50 by the Sea - Had an excellent stay there and all my expectations were met - at times went above the expectations also. The apartment looks very new, is very well maintained and most importantly, its extremely clean. Ive visited Colombo many times and many times, I faced the issue of not so clean bathrooms at some residences - at 50 by the Sea, the bathrooms were so clean and neat that it looked like a 5 star hotel's washroom ( I am from luxury hospitality background, so I can assure you of this high, comparable quality at this place ) - The staff were extremely polite and helpful - I had a few encounters with their housekeeping team and security team - very warm, friendly and helpful. I requested for a few things during my stay and got immediate assistance. The Reservations Manager, Ms Shehara is very kind & approachable - she would often call me to check how I was doing and if everything was ok . The rooms are good in size for single travelers and couples - overlooking the Mt Lavinia beach and beautiful sea view. Any drawbacks ? Well, depending on what you are looking for : * The facility doesn't have its own dining outlet - which is not a big issue as there are many outlets nearby , walking distance. * The accommodation is very close to the Mt Lavinia Railway track so there is plenty of noise - may disturb some and some may find it hard to sleep - for me it was not a big issue as I used to wake up early and go out for breakfast & shopping. Overall, I loved the place for its cleanliness, good feel and, helpful staff - I would certainly recommend the place.

This was the first place I stayed in on my trip to Sri Lanka and it was a great start to my trip. The place has an impeccable view of the ocean. The room was spotless clean and had all amenities. We were greeted by Mr Prasad. He helped us check in and was very polite and helpful throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay near colombo city.

Amazing location next to the beach with view from the room. Huge downside is the extreme noise coming from the main road and railroad directly next to it. The walls are thin, so you will hear it. No other way around. Also it’s on the pricier side for what it is. This is a very personal thing that might not apply to you: the mattress gave me back pain. I couldn’t almost sleep there. All in all, if you are not annoyed by noise easily, this might still be a top pick for you.

I had a confirmed reservation for an apartment at this property. However, the evening before I was supposed to arrive, I received a sudden call from the management team informing me that the apartment i booked cannot be utilized. This last-minute cancellation put me in a terrible position, forcing me to scramble to find alternative accommodation in Colombo at the very last minute. An apology is simply not enough when a business shows such a severe lack of reliability and care for its guests. They even failed to reserve me another room that is available and failed to communicate either. I highly advise you all to Book at your own risk. Not recommended at all

Found a gem of a place to stay in colombo. Going forward this is going to be the place we will stay. We highly recommend this place. The staff host Shehara and members Nishan & Sanjeeva very helpful and caring. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs & late check out request Than You Very clean and spacious suit.This closest to all amenities and the beach at its best for a walk jog walk or other activities All in all great place to stay and worth the money.

This place is a hidden gym!! Offers amazing views of the Marine Drive in Colombo and the facilities were wonderful too. Owner was very kind, staff very courteous. Definitely worth the money.

線路を挟んでデヒワラビーチを見渡せるロケーションにあり、センスの良いインテリア、カラーリングだと思います。きちんと入退室も管理されていて、女性にもおすすめできます。空港からは車で1時間くらいで、免許センターまでも車で15分くらいなので、コロンボ市内よりビーチ近く、駅近くが好みの方は是非滞在してみてください。

Super nice place, beautiful design, everything looks new and very clean. Absolutely enjoyed my stay here. There’s a supermarket 10 mins walk way.

Habe insgesamt 6 Tage in zwei unterschiedlichen Zimmern und zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten nach der Anreise und vor der Abreise in diesem Hotel verbracht. Ein zweistündiges früheres Checkin war mir kostenfrei ermöglicht worden. Mehrfache Gepäckaufbewahrungen durfte ich freundlicherweise kostenfrei in Anspruch nehmen dürfen. Das Hotel hat einfach ausgestattete Zimmer, aber dafür sind sie sauber. Das Bett war für mich gemütlich. Klimaanlage hat gut funktioniert. Bedauerlicherweise ist der Lärm von der Straße und den vorbeifahrenden Zügen ziemlich laut wie auch in der Nacht. Mit Ohrstöpsel lässt es sich aber besser aushalten. Die Angestellten sind überfreundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Am letzten Tag vor meiner Abreise hat der Angestellte Herr Nissan mir sogar mit seinen privaten Eigentum wie Batterien sowie einer Kofferwaage ausgeholfen und wollte keinen Cent dafür haben. Das Beste kommt zum Schluß: Die Aussicht auf das Meer. So unglaublich schön, wenn man jeden Morgen mit Blick auf das Meer aufwacht. Unbezahlbar! Ich komme wieder, diesmal mit der Familie!
