It's a coastal town in Sri Lanka, on the south western side of the Northern Province. Manna is an island, separated by salt marshes 4km away from the mainland to the East. It's famous for its dry fish. It used to be the main production district for pearls, before they were over-harvested and exploited. Mannar is one of the best locations in Sri Lanka for coastal bird watching, especially Flamingoes. If people are mindful, Mannar will remain entertaining and enlightening...

Nice have different experience and the taste of seafood. Its better to have a motor bike if u want to visit sub urban areas.

This is the main Sri Lanka Transport Board's bus station and departure and arrival are here. It has buses to every main cities in Sri Lanka.
