We recently visited the Dhikala Zone, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience for us. Dhikala is truly the heart of Jim Corbett National Park and offers one of the best wildlife safari experiences in India. We went for two safaris, and we were fortunate enough to spot tigers on both occasions, which made the trip extremely special and thrilling. The vast grasslands, dense forests, river views, and open landscapes make Dhikala unique compared to other zones. The natural beauty and untouched wilderness are simply breathtaking. The safari was well organized, the guides and drivers were knowledgeable, and they ensured a safe and informative experience throughout. The entire process, from entry to safari completion, was smooth and well managed. Dhikala Zone is perfect for wildlife lovers, photographers, and nature enthusiasts who want a raw and authentic jungle experience. The early morning safari, in particular, offers magical views and higher chances of wildlife sightings. Overall, it was an adventurous, exciting, and memorable journey for us. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jim Corbett National Park.

It was a truly wonderful journey—especially the morning safari, which felt magical in the chill of the early hours. While driving along the Sambar Road, we suddenly spotted a tiger. To our amazement, it kept walking confidently for nearly a kilometer, completely unbothered by our presence. Watching it move so gracefully and fearlessly was an unforgettable experience. In that moment, we could really feel that we were in the presence of the true king of the jungle.

"I recently explored into the Dhikala Zone of Jim Corbett National Park, and the experience remains unmatched for wildlife lovers like me. I personally recommend Dhikala safari is worth for the core-zone views. We entered through the Dhangari Gate and enjoyed a spectacular jungle safari across the Dhikal Chaur (grasslands). I saw many trees and plants like Sal, Jamun, Bael, Lantana bushes, ferns, and also many species of birds like woodpecker ,jungle fowl and animals such as peacocks, male and female Sambar deer, herds of spotted deer, hog deer, wild boars, jackals, monkeys, langurs, monitor lizards, and fresh pugmarks of a Bengal Tiger from just a few minutes earlier, while tiger's roar and a barking deer's calls could be heard. The guide Mr. Sati and the driver tried their best, but we were perhaps unlucky because the cold weather and dense fog made visibility very poor. Overall it was an excellent trip. The Dhikala Forest Rest House allows the park's true wilderness. Neat and clean CTR campus and dinning area. For anyone planning a trip, want to enjoy canter safari,Jeep safari or jungle safari trip ,a must-visit for flora and fauna sightings and nature photography!" D.K.Lohani-"Vyaghra Vipinam Venture"

Very good zone. Government is putting good efforts for wildlife conservation. Tiger sighting probability is quite high in this zone. Well managed ticketing system. Washrooms inside were not clean. Authorities pls look into this. A small canteen inside the zone where you get good maggi and bread omelette at decent rates.

Took the camter bus for the inside safari. Have to be very lucky for tiger sighting. Enough of deer, elephant, crocodile and jackal sighting. Extremely bumpy ride inside the safari. One needs to stay inside the Dhikala Zone for minimum 2 days to have a chance to sight the tiger

Dhikala Zone (Jim Corbett) ka experience sach mein unforgettable hai! 🌿✨ Nature lovers ke liye yeh jagah kisi swarg se kam nahi. Har taraf ghane jungle, khula grassland aur Ramganga river ka sundar nazara dil ko instantly connect kar deta hai. Subah-subah safari ke dauran wildlife dekhna ek alag hi excitement deta hai—deer, elephants aur agar kismat achhi ho toh majestic tiger ka darshan bhi ho sakta hai. Yahan ki shanti aur fresh hawa aapko city life ke stress se door le jaati hai. Dhikala ka sunset aur sunrise dono hi magical hote hain, jahan aasman ke rang aur jungle ki awaazein ek perfect harmony create karti hain. Yeh jagah sirf ek trip nahi, balki ek soulful experience hai jo aapko nature ke aur kareeb le aata hai. Agar aap adventure, peace aur wildlife ka perfect combo chahte hain, toh Dhikala Zone definitely must-visit hai! 🐅🌅

The authority do not bother about your time. Planned timing was 1130 but started post 1230. Parking is near the gate. There is a small Souvenir shop at the entrance.

Dhikala Zone is one of India's most beautiful forests. Spotting wildlife depends on luck, but a jungle safari is an incredible experience. Along the way, you'll pass through dense forests, vast grasslands, and the scenic Ramganga River, making it unforgettable.

We visited with a group of colleagues in the morning. Please note that mobile phones must be deposited with security upon entry. Cameras are permitted within the premises. We observed three tigers, several elephant herds, deer, and wild boars. The jungle environment maintains a remarkably cool temperature, even during the summer months. Punctuality is essential for the safari experience. Overall, it was a positive experience.

Dhikala zone is one of the best zones in Jim Corbett to visit. The landscapes are breathtaking. I will definitely say it is a paradise for every wildlife photographer. On the other side, Dhikala is truly detox to the human soul. There is no network connectivity inside the park. We stayed 4 days inside Dhikala Rest House. The experience is amazing. The canteen provides food that needs to be paid by cash only, as there is no network coverage. UPI apps will not work. Breakfast is priced at Rs.400, and lunch and dinner are priced at Rs.500 each.

It is said to be one of the best zone to spot tigers. You have to book tickets in advance. Safari time is approximately 4 hours. With canter on hot days , it may be a bit tiring. Overall experience was good. Must carry summer hat, sunglasses and water. A small museum is there. Washroom is clean.

Visited Jim Corbett National Park for a safari. The park has great biodiversity—we spotted a black stork, a mother elephant with her calf and an elephant family also, chital, barking deer, wild hen, Indian hare, and plenty of monkeys. The forest and overall experience were enjoyable from a wildlife perspective. However, the safari experience was affected by the guide’s behavior. He seemed in a hurry to finish and return, and didn’t even wait for a few minutes at any spot, and then he blamed the passengers for the delay, which didn’t feel fair. To make it worse, at the end of the safari, since we didn’t spot a tiger, he made a rude comment (“Ye log patakhe leke gaon lootne nikle the”), which was completely unprofessional. It also gives an impression that tiger sightings might be easier for VIPs or those who pay extra, while regular visitors are rushed through the safari. Whether true or not, this perception needs to be addressed for a fair and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Overall: Great wildlife, but poor guide experience. Better training and attitude from guides would make a big difference.

Our jungle safari at Dhikala in Jim Corbett was an unforgettable experience. Dhikala, being the largest zone in the park, was new to us, and it did not disappoint. Starting at 6:30 am, we were picked up from Ramnagar by the official canter. The journey through the forest was icy, with temperatures dropping to 5 degrees Celsius. If you're planning an early winter morning safari, make sure to dress in layers, and don't forget a thick cap and mittens to keep warm. Once inside Dhikala, we were mesmerized by its beauty. The Ramganga River flows alongside the safari track, and with the recent monsoon, the lush sal trees and dense foliage were in full bloom. We spotted wild boars, rare wood owls, jackals, spotted and barking deer, elephants, and even crocodiles from a distance. The highlight of our trip was a rest house about 21 km inside the forest, where we took a break. The viewing zone overlooking a mist-covered waterbody, with the early morning sun peeking through, felt like a scene from a dream. It was at that moment we knew our early start and braving the cold were entirely worth it.

This the important part in Jim corbett . My experience was I first visited Corbett heritage park in morning 6am but was not able to see anything and the guides there were all useless as they didn't know anything 😕 most funny part was he literally asked the driver that " is that Indian Koko ?" Like how should he know?!. We were very disappointed and the driver felt sympathy and through contacts adjusted us for dhikala in the afternoon 1pm . And everyone in the dhikala zone were humble enough to help us out . Later on we got to know that heritage park is part of eco-tourism where it's like outer zones build in year 2024 for only observing the birds or observe trees . Like literally they will tell you that " they are animals, they move around its there thing" . Ik they are animals but atleast there should be deer or birds na?! It was freaking quiet !!! The only important zones are Dhikala , Bijrani,Jhirna , Dhela & Durham devi . Book for these in 1 month advance or else you won't get into these zones easily
