Extremely Disappointing Experience – Ample Technologies Has Lost Its Service Focus
My recent interactions with Ample Technologies have left me deeply frustrated and disappointed. Once upon a time, I was a loyal customer, regularly relying on them for both sales and services over six years, transitioning from Ample to iCare with unwavering trust. However, in the past two years, it has become painfully clear that their priorities have shifted drastically – from being service-oriented to solely focusing on squeezing money out of customers.
Take my AirPods issue from a few months ago: I was told they were beyond repair and pushed to buy a new pair. Reluctantly, I followed their recommendation. Yet, to my surprise, the same AirPods were later fixed perfectly by a third-party service provider and are still functioning flawlessly.
The breaking point came today when I visited them with my Apple TV 4K (2nd Generation). It simply needed an OS restore and reboot – a minor issue I was fully aware of but couldn’t resolve with my Mac. I expected their technical team to handle this effortlessly. Instead, the first question I was asked was about the warranty. Unsurprisingly, as a 2-year-old product, it wasn’t under warranty. Despite this, the problem was fixable, but their recommendation? “The product is of no value; you should just buy a new one.”
This blatant disregard for genuine service is unacceptable. To make matters worse, while waiting my turn, I overheard other customers facing similar situations – being encouraged to discard and replace their products rather than offering any real service solutions.
Ample Technologies has completely lost its credibility as a service provider. They are now solely driven by sales, often at the expense of customer satisfaction. For those seeking reliable Apple product service, I strongly urge you to avoid Ample Technologies. Their current approach is untrustworthy and nothing short of a money grab.
