We had a good stay at Dai-Ichi Hotel Ryogoku. The rooms are spacious, especially by Tokyo standards, and the breakfast buffet on the top floor had a great selection with beautiful city views. The hotel is a bit dated, and the hallways felt quite dark. While the rooms were clean and comfortable, one downside was the air conditioning—you can’t fully control the temperature as it’s adjusted by the hotel. There is a vent that brings in outside air, but it wasn’t quite enough for us. Some staff members had limited English proficiency, which made communication a little difficult at times. The location is slightly away from the main tourist areas, but the metro station is very close and convenient. There’s also a nearby 7-Eleven (which closes around 11 PM) and a smaller Family Mart within walking distance. Overall, it’s a clean and comfortable hotel with spacious rooms, a great breakfast buffet, and easy access to public transportation.
